    Not sure why Italians think it is difficult to learn. I think if you have studied Spanish, German, or other European languages, it is not difficult. You get used to the differences with the use of articles, irregular verbs, tenses, etc., then it is much easier than studying a language like Japanese or Chinese when you are dealing with a different writing system, and with Chinese, tones.

      sì, è corretto

    • @matteomartini4338

      Hmm, it doesn't sound natural, I would simply say "Congratulazioni, era tutto delizioso/squisito"

    Penso che le lingue più imparate nell' mundo sono le lingue europee. Nella università di mi città in Argentina se impara principalmente l'inglese poi italiano ( perché è facile), tedesco, francese e portoghese

    Can I say
    Piacere conoscerlo referring to a guy (HE)?

    • @magyarbondi
      @magyarbondi 5 років тому

      It's "Piacere conoscerLa" in both instances. There's no gender distinction in formal reference.
      Lei = formal You
      La = formal You in accusative case
      i.e. nominative case: io, tu, lui/lei; noi, voi, loro
      accusative case:
      me
      te
      lui/lei
      formal: La
      noi
      voi
      loro
      formal plural: Loro
      (Accusative in English is: me, you, him/her, us, you, them)
      In plain English, if you want to be polite or formal, you don't say the second person "tu", but instead you use the third person "Lei" (and of course conjugate in 3rd person).

      Hi Mary Githua,
      "piacere di conoscerla" is used both when talking politely to a woman and to a man.
      If you say "piacere di conoscerlo", it means something different. You're no longer referring to the person you're talking to, but rather you're saying you're pleased to meet another person (him).
      Thanks for your comment.
      Cheers,
      Valentina

    This is easy guys. Wait for the counguntivo and subordinate sentences. You will immediately regret for starting learning this language. It kills even Italians.

      as italian, i can tell you it kills italian for the simple fact that many italian have this wrong habit. I may understand it's difficult for italian learners, tho
