I am 72 and I love your channel. I was born in France but do not speak French fluently. Thanks to your channel, I am still learning new phrases all the time. Merci
C'est beaucoup plus facile aujourd'hui qu'il y a dix-huit mois, lorsque j'ai commencé á apprendre la francais et j'ai commencé regarder votre chaine. Merci!
I love this format! My french level is higher than the phrases but comme une anglaise j'ai du Mal à parler français assez vite et Mon accent EST toujours la raison pour laquelle on ne me comprend pas
Amazing vid Géraldine. Learning French through "real life" phrases is always better than trying to learn boring grammar rules or memorise vocabulary. If any of you here want to improve your French speaking, my tip would be to insert French into your daily life. As you are brushing your teeth, studying, working, doing anything - make French sentences about what you are doing. My Students have found that via doing this they are learning French without even trying! Géraldine's videos are some of the best on UA-cam - keep watching them and try out speaking little by little to improve. Hope that's helpful - Rory :)
I found this Listen And Repeat lesson exceptionally helpful. Please do more of these! I learned so much about pronunciation, rhythm, fluidity. Merci beaucoup!
Thanks Géraldine. Request you to please continue with such sessions frequently. Also a few exercises using words or phrases which aren’t taught in classes but used regularly in day to day communication.
Thank you very much for this new format. I find it very helpful! Learning how to put some common sentences together for everyday usage in advance is very practical and can help our brains struggle less when in “real” convvos. Merci beaucoup!
Recently moved here from New Zealand but originally from England so had school French lessons many years ago. Need to improve my conversational French to integrate more fully.
Yes please continue with this format- it's very helpful! The phrases are useful and even though I knew two thirds of them, it's different to hear the fast-spoken version and learn to speak it. The longer sentences were a challenge! Bravo!
I love these listen and repeat videos so much. Could you pause a bit between word groups so I have time to repeat that fragment before the next word group starts? If you can feed it to us in fragments(w liaison). I feel like it will give my brain time to understand what it just heard and mimic it properly, Ex: On va au musée / cet après midi / vous voules venir ? And maybe do the slower part with pauses 2x before going back to normal speed without pauses? 🙏❤
❤ Géraldine Lepère ❤ You've done a lot for this video. 1. PDF download 2. Chapters in description 3. French Phrases with English translations 4. Et finalement, you speaking the phrases. Please indicate liaisons in the phrases. And if they are obligated or are usual. I use the ‿ as a French liaison character. Just a suggestion. You could just verbally state the liaison as you often do. I know that you do pronounce the liaisons. Bisous, bisous ! À bientôt ! ❤
Merci, Geraldine! Great lesson but I was thrown off by a present tense use of Je suis but was spoken in the past tense in one of your examples. Please explain when you get a chance.
I’m a native English speaker, I started self-teaching myself French a month ago, but I haven’t been keeping up with it. So I’m back on UA-cam trying to jump-start my learning and I’ve gotta say: French is kind of easy. I do almost great with the pronunciation, EXCEPT the R’s! I’m trying to find an easier way for me to pronounce the R’s perfectly but it’s kind of difficult. Merci beaucoup, Mme Geraldine ! J'espère qu'un jour je pourrai parler couramment et en toute confiance le français à n'importe qui et à n'importe qui avec l'une de mes langues préférées :)🩵
Great content but I think what is helpful is to see how the mouth moves in order to pronounce it right, however it is not clearly demonstrated and then it jumps to the next screen too quickly.
I show you how to improve your French fluency every Saturday. Subscribe here: www.commeunefrancaise.com/youtube-welcome
Super!!
