I needed this video. I've recently started going to the gym, and this is for the first time in my life that I've both hit a gym and lifted weights. I've realized this on multiple occasions how I'm built a little weaker. The smallest amounts of intense activity can give me the nastiest headaches, but I also love being active. Working out is the only thing that makes me feel like my life's on track. My first week at the gym was really good. My instructor was happy with how I was doing and couldn't believe that it was actually the first time I had joined a gym. Cut to the second week and bam! There hits the headache! I was so badly demotivated and disheartened by it, because it didn't just happen on one day, it just kept happening every day from there on. But I think I heard the message loud and clear. Challenge yourself. Don't be disheartened. I know I can do it. And I will do it. Thanks Krissy, I owe you one!

Hey, first of all well done for getting started! I’ve only been lifting for a little under 3 months and it’s changed my life too. Honestly, I would visit your doctor about the headaches, or it might be something as simple as dehydration because working out takes a lot out of you. Make sure you’re drinking plenty throughout the day and whilst in the gym. Also make sure you’re eating enough, and before the gym eat a snack and drink some preworkout which will give you energy and a lot of water!

I'm not super fan of supersets for hypertrophy. If your goal is building muscle, you want to have enough strength and energy to lift heavier, so resting between sets is key for that. Adding a superset with a jump squat will just burn your legs and make your tired, with no benefice for hypertrophy. Unless your goal is muscular endurance or you're short in time, it's not the optimal thing to do.

hey Krissy, I love "2 reps left in the tank" I use this with my clients all the time. I have also done some research on de loading cycles, and their benefits with progressive overload, you should make a video on the benefits of de loading to promote the surpassing of progression plateaus!

for me i've been weight training nearly 3 years and i used to work out 7 days/no rest day. I felt so exhausted and couldn't sleep well too. So i chaged to 4-5 days and it is so better now. I realized that if i work out more i have to eat more, rest more but i couldn't!!! people have different bodies and conditions and your body knows yourself and try to figure out which routines fit to me.

There’s a but , I am completely and totally so dissappointed with Oneractive. The customer service I’ve been receiving 😕. I have to tell you honestly they aren’t giving 200%. If there is anything you can do for your Oneractive community , it would be to improve customer satisfaction . With that said ..looking forward to your next video and for my two orders that are missing to be found and arrive safely 🙏🏽🙏🏽

@@KrissyCelaa Hi Krissy, I placed an order when the 2nd effortless re-stock took place. For starters the only concrete information I have for that order (until mid morning today ) was that a label was created . I contacted customer service multiple times and every time got no where. I reached out March 1st to ask for the tracking number and March 6th was told by a rep the package was handed over to FedEx. Which was 100% not true . Today is March 17th and after a dozen calls to FedEx and communicating with Oneractive almost everyday the package has left the wear-house . I’ve been told everything from an investigation was processed which FedEx confirmed an investigation can only occur after a package has been handed over , I’ve been told FedEx is short staffed due to Covid, I’ve been told my package was handed over to FedEx but was still in the wear-house, and of course to please allow another 7 days . So it’s been very very frustrating process . And I have to be honest , I appreciate you and what you do for all your followers. Your the ONLY reason I haven’t thrown in the towel and said “ I no longer want to do business with a company like this”. I’ve told the representative that transparency is everything . Telling me something because it sounds good isn’t what I want to hear . After three long weeks waiting for an update my package is finally in transit . Fingers crossed I don’t have to wait three weeks to find out where my second package is from the Classic 2.0 launch . With all this said I hope the take away is just for honesty and transparency . I felt I wasn’t getting that from customer service at all. Thank you for listening and looking forward to more re-stocks 🥰

I am starting week 6 at the gym after a five year period of doing NOTHING. Five years ago, I did 21 day fix with Beach Body and got into the BEST shape of my life. I had NO IDEA my body could do that. I had no body fat, felt great, and felt strong and muscular. This time, I am only doing strength training and not doing any HIIT like I was before. I only do cardio to warm up before lifting. I am annoyed because I am not seeing much in the way of progress even after 5 weeks of dedication. What should I do? I am tempted to go back to 21 day fix just because I know it works for me, but I am 43 now. But I would also like to stay lifting because I hate cardio! Do I just need to be more patient?

I thought intensity for progressive overload means training in high proximity to failure. Supersetting similar exercises for the same muscle group seems like working for endurence, because you give no rest to a muscle. And it's not like 2 sets of 10, but more like 1 set of 20. And 20 is quite a lot for hypertrophy. Also, why supersetting compound lifts with the similar exercises for the same muscle group, when you can add the weight or extra rep. May be i just don't understand this supersetting thing in terms of hypertrophy. Supersetting technic works really great when you wanna save some time and when one muscle group rests, the other works. But when supersetting the same muscle group, ur just breaking hypertrophy protocol. How are you going to do another exercise right after you hit failure? You need to have 3-0 reps in reserve after finishing set. Let's say you finished and left 3 reps. How come you do right after this another set for 10 reps? Okay, second exercise might be more easy, but anyways for hypertrophy you need to finish the set when ur almost not able to do the movement. If ur able to do the second exercise, you didn't finish the first set in high proximity to failure
