I have a 1st gen Z I've done a lot to. I saw the door panels and thought, "okay that's pretty neat" but I lost it over the power window switch. How cool is that! Love it.
I LOVE this Z! It's been kool watching you bring this car to life, the attention to details and all of the mods is perfect and not overdone. I am positive John would be in love with it too. Each time it gets driven, he'll be in the passenger seat enjoying the heck out of it! Nice job Crash!
I’ve been into muscle cars most of my life. I’ve owned Camaros, Chevelles, El Caminos, Mustangs,…. C10s too!! I got a Z with me now too, but wish I would’ve gave them a chance much sooner because they are little hot rods too!! They can easily be modified and in may different ways! The triple carb and header set up sound amazing!! This 73 your working on sounds identical to an early Colombo Ferrari V12 !!! Seriously, check them out on UA-cam and compare, this car here reving at 5500-6500- even 7000 rpm sounds just like a Ferrari V12 from the early 1960s!!! Job well done on this one!! 🤘🤌💪✊✌️
That car has got some great attention to detail! Those door inserts you did just add to that. The color matching done under the hood and even the underside of the hood look great. Gotta be one of the nicest Z cars out there.
Those Asian and Jag sixes sound amazing when they're hopped up. I absolutely LOVE the sound of the original flathead six in my 49 Pontiac mild kustom. It makes absolutely no power but it sounds incredible through the lake pipes. A lot of the tuner boys could learn a lot from that gorgeous Z.
ive been messing round with 240s since 92. they should add to that cage at least a 8-10 point because they like to twist after all that money was put into the a arms and such. take it for a ride and stick you finger between the door / body while turning left to right if it moves, cage it . those cars are just prone to massive rust and i can see the floors been hacked out already so .
Hi beautiful Z well deserved upgrades inspired me to work on mine and upgrade it but iam sure it had a healthy budget spend so got to do my costing plus shipping. I know wheels are 16 inch how wide and do you know the ET off set ? Thanks
Nice restomod all around and top to bottom!! A couple of questions though... How close is the header to touching that gigantic Moroso oil pan? I like the look of the triple Webers but wouldn't an EFI throttle body been a better choice for the racetrack?
Header oil pan is about 1.5 inches of clearance. Not sure if carbs or EFI would perform better. Those carbs do push the fuel. I do know the carbs are way more exciting to listen to when smashing the gas pedal.

Thanks, I appreciate that! I believe the window kit was from Nu-Relics power windows.

That sounds awesome, totally agree!

Thanks! I do like how it revs and sounds so smooth. Interesting about the Ferrari, I’ll check it out.
Cant wait to be able to take a ride. Thanks a lot Crash, Dad would be in love with it.
Thanks! I was hoping that.

Absolutely! Sometimes driving is way more than just power, gotta use all the senses.

Yeah, keep going on yours! The wheels are 16’s, not sure on the offset the owner purchased those and it’s not at my shop anymore.
Oh man 🤦🏽♂️ Now I want an import. AC!!! , very cool!
Me too!
I have a 70 Z... it's idle is high. (choke is on?, but if so, you wouldn't want to rev during choke)
Love the power windows! Where did you source them?
It’s from Nu-Relics, not sure if it’s a universal kit or specific to the Z. It works well either way.
NICE ride!!!! Just don't see them anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You’re right about that!
