i have so many potions lying around the house do to watching ur vids XD my husband doesnt even want me to go to the dollar store because he knows im just gonna get more jars haha
Did you brand the Deathly Hallows sign on your wrist? I would of went with flower or or cornstarch instead of the sand. But still cool looking and another great job.
@@CookingandCraftChick hey it’s okay. While reading HP2 and then seeing how they did for the movie and this video reminded me of the Midnight Powder too. I use to love the show too. Supposedly the Midnight Powder is made from non-dairy creamer in powdered form and some other materials.
PickaDillie yes, you use sand paper to rough it up and then go over it with black, gray, or brown paint and rub it off with a rag while it’s still wet so the color stays in the scratches. (You can check out my hocus pocus life elixir for an example) Hope that helps thanks for watching!
Are you wanting to store it in the cauldron or make the green fire? If you’re wanting to store it definitely. If your making the green fire, yes you can you just wouldn’t want to use it for anything else after that (especially anything food related) I hope that helps 😊
I just wanted to ask something I dont have a printer so can i just design the labels looking at yours ? And then use it on my bottles Btw this was a really cool video !
@@CookingandCraftChick unfortunately we don't have Hobby Lobby in Australia, must visit USA next time I'm all cashed up again, got some USB light corks, submersible leds and string light plastic corks recently, can't wait to get started but really need to finish some other projects first and now it's Christmas!!
Hey, nice video. But, actually the colour of powder is black and grey. And the flames are green. Anyways good video and label. All your diy's are very helpful for potterheads.
Raven Țepeș it’s a white ink tattoo of the deathly hallows, and it’s still new, and healing. The white ink tattoos take longer for redness to go away. So I guess in a way...yes the tattoo artist did 😜
Cooking and Craft Chick thats odd. I have a ton of tattoos and quite a few white ink ones and they never looked like that. But everyones skin is different
So I just have to put it out there that scientists have found that borax can be dangerous when exposed to skin or ingested. For small children it can be deadly. While I would consider this a safe use of borax, it should be kept away from children. Love your videos btw.
@@laviniacontraro4705 in the books it just describes it as a glittery powder that turns the flames green. So when I read it I always pictured it green, the movie depicting it as grayish. I have made it both ways, you can do the same thing I did here in reverse green lid and spoon, gray sand or borax I still add green as well as black glitter.
Cherry Wallis straight up stole your design!!!!!!!!! Go check her channel and her insta she basically made your tutorial and said she made it up it’s gross
Snape would be so proud of you
I'm sure too!!!
This is Snape's closest thing to a compliment: "Ah, I see you've finally seemed to have made a competent concoction. Well what do you want, applause?"
Yeah!
i have so many potions lying around the house do to watching ur vids XD my husband doesnt even want me to go to the dollar store because he knows im just gonna get more jars haha
This is so cool I’m going to try it plus all of your other diys
OMG I need this in my life!! Professor Snape would be so proud!!
Really awesome! So cool!! Thanks for sharing your art with us
So HAPPY to see you creating more potions!!!!! Thank you for sharing them!!! Yours are the absolute BEST!!!!!
I know older video but any type of sand or sugar substance, zip-lock bag works out sooo much better. Add in bag and rub between hands!!💚
Maybe put the sand in a plastic bag and then mix the color up in there. Might be easier than a plastic cup and spoon.
I think the grey cork etc makes it look as though it has had floo powder spilt on it over many uses.
Where do you get all those cool jars/bottles?? I just ADORE weird bottles and LOVE potion bottles!!!
Kim Brenner I get most of my bottles from Hobby Lobby, Michael’s, and the dollar store. Thanks for watching!!
I'm planning on doing HP cosplays so this would be perfect for props and cool videos!
Hey keep up your amazing and professional work i love your potions😍😍❤
Boric acid, though harder to find, produces MUCH more vivid green flames.
Did you brand the Deathly Hallows sign on your wrist?
I would of went with flower or or cornstarch instead of the sand. But still cool looking and another great job.
In the films Floo Powder is in a terracotta pot next to the fire in the Burrow. Could you do one of those?
Lovelly!!! You are a such great artist. Thank you so much for sharing it.
You should make the midnight dust from Are You Afraid of the Dark.
Ooooo I might have to do that, I completely forgot about that. I used to love that show when I was kid!

I really love all your videos.
You are an artist! Love your videos!
So sad I have everything to make them except the jars .....
AND I WANT TO DO AMIZING THINGS LIKE YOU,I REALLY ADMIRE YOU!!!!!
Min Alice HOGWARTS Thank you! 😊💙
Check stores like Hobby Lobby or Michaels, etc. They seem to be cheaper than Amazon.
Have you aged any bottles before? If so... how would we do that. Also would a wax drip seal look ok.

REALLY cool! 💚
Can you add the heet to the borax mixture and then store it for later use???
Holiday Marie Jackson I’m not sure how the borax would do with the heat long term. 😕
@@CookingandCraftChick ok, thank you!!
Could u use a cast iron cauldron

I wanted to do a prop I could actually use in my fireplace and since we do not use any chems in my fireplace I simply foodcolored sawdust
Carola Deschamps that’s a great idea! 💚
love this!!
I like it but I guess floo powder itlesf should be dusty and like a ash colored.....
I just wanted to ask something

Mini Shaw you can definitely design your own labels using mine as a reference. 😊
@@CookingandCraftChick thanks a lot !
Woow, awesome
where did you get the 2nd glass jar with the wooden lid?
Jenny Taylor I got mine at Hobby Lobby, I hope that helps thanks for watching!

Raven Țepeș the lighting I film with makes it look way redder than it is too.
I love this, except it's a silvery color and the flames turn green. But bravo!!!
WILDFIRE

My roommate has a entire room of potions and other Harry Potter stuff it looks like Snape’s Office in Hogwarts
I thought floo powder was a grayish or silver, why do people keep making it GREEN?

Why not add rubber gloves to your projects? For things like painting things, not get all over your hands.
Why did you make it green the powder isn’t green the floo powder is black put the fire is green not the actual powder
Can we be potion partners?😂😂

You use so much indgredients, those are difficult to find in home, this is just an advice, keep your indgredients simple.
