I have seen farm tractors break down tore apart and put back together with far less care than you gave this one far! And they years and years of service. Absolute perfect rebuild you did no but as you stated in the limits you did a excellent job! Thanks
Its fun watching the creative repurpose process as these builds come together. Back in 08/09 I purchased my first basket case motorcycle. It was a 1957 Triumph Thunderbird. I literally brought it home in milk crates. The best part about that project was digging through parts bins at the army surplus store looking for bits and pieces for the bike. Russian bolt cutters became a suicide shifter. Old army truck tail light for a brake light. Model A spare tire shroud for a rear fender etc etc. Once the bike was "done" it lost some of its appeal because I wasn't hunting down parts anymore. Honestly that was more fun than actually riding the bike. When I finally lost interest in riding that death trap a couple guys from Detroit drove all the way out to Idaho and bought it from me. The other day I found some really shaky footage of my first ride that my daughter recorded. She was probably around 6 years old at the time. She recorded while my wife drove the truck along side me.
Love your channel, one of the best on You Tube. Theirs just not much on TV anymore, so I find myself watching your channel for hours, I call it, spending a day with Mustie. I really love the playlist on restoring the 59 single cab, and the yard sale find videos, keep em coming brother. I spent 7 years as a mechanic working in an auto garage and a diesel shop. When I was 25 I joined the Florida Highway Patrol and had a career as a State Trooper, I`m now retired.
The Binocs are cool. The antiqued one is better for the bike. You picked the perfect light. I am amazed what you can do with the things you collect. Awesome video. Keep them coming. Thanks for letting us into your world.

Inspiring! I've been building a couple of motorized bikes from kits and yours is much cooler of course. Thanks for showing us how to think out of the box.
Man, the right leather jacket, helmet and googles would complete the picture. I'm just amazed at how your projects all turn out to work so well. Five years, $2000+ and I still couldn't come close to one that works as well as this one.
I love the suggestion the bike be featured in a movie after the apocalypse. Perhaps coupled with my book. You have done a beautiful job as always, such creativity. Congratulations.
Yes, the tank looks good, but my vote goes for the blue-green with white stripes to pull together with the fenders. Almost the same color as Crusty. Looking good!
YOU ARE WELLCOME YOU HAVE SOME REAL NIFFTY IDEAS I LOVE TO BUILD MOTORCYCLES AND ALL THAT ATV STUFF AND ITS ALWAYS GOOD TO SEE WHEN PEOPLE ENJOY WHAT WE DO
805 ROADKING You know it. I am going to 805ROADKING. I'll be back Mustie. Wow. 1 year. BTW. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone. (2018-19). Keep on wrenchin'!
The bike looks awesome! One thing I found on the tube when doing some metal plate work with letters stamped into it was that Sharpie makes an 'Industrial' marker. It hold up much better. Love the overall look of it.
Watching this from the start, at first I was kinda confused by what was going to come of it exactly. After you started on the tank, then seeing the suspension... It was really exciting to see it coming together waiting for this moment. I'm so happy for you, yet kinda sad that it's getting close to done.
First thing that came to mind for me on the binocular head light housing was to use it as a dual tail light housing instead (of course after adding red lenses). The second thing was to build an old art deco/ fifties style rocket bike where the tank continues to sweep forward (with a break at the neck), then the lines continue into that dual headlamp binocular housing. Hope this makes sense. Anyway, it all looks and works great as you completed it. Great work.
you sir are Amazing. what a joy to watch you put so much Work into the motorcycle. Then to get to see you're first ride. amazing. These hand skills are not lost. thanks to people like you musty1. god bless . cheers buddy
Awesome . Sounds like it was still accelerating every time when you had to let off to turn around. It's like you was reading my mind on the headlight , brass , darker and lower.
Nice build!! Possible idea for a future build, with the idea of the front end from this bike, have you considered cutting the normal fork off and letting the front tire be supported using only the spring.
It's got a nice sound and looks like what you were trying for it must ride good , summer time it will be definitely excellent to try it look forward to seeing it ., thanks I do like how it turned out😀😁😁😊
Mustie if i may, I'd suggest a old 30/40's vintage car headlight. You know the ones that sit on top of the fender and have a bullet shape, Yea baby yea!
just love it give me many ideas love to build one of my own going to start keeping my eyes open to see what items i can put in my hoard for a project like this i watch your vids all the time you been great to watch this hole time iv been going threw my fight with cancer and cant wait to get back to making vids again my self ty Mustie 1 for keeping my spirits up with your vids!
and i plan on living many more years my final scan to know if we beat it is in march if it the treatments worked i will have my channel back up and will let you know the out come ty for your suport
hello hun and you would have to say i do and my wife is understanding about it and i was a pro, mechanic now just trying to stay above ground as long as i can
I was about to say it needs geared down a little to help with acceleration. very nice build indeed. I have an old Montgomery 3/4hp engine that I got running that was my great grandpa's built in what looks to be late 30s, can't find much on it, but maybe this is what I need to do with it.
i just wanted to say that you are such an amazing craftsman aand you have so much creativity and imigination and you actually get things done i think all of your pieces are works of art and ls keep doing what youre doing.
I like the copper and brass headlight with the lower mount. I like the whole bike as a package too. I hope if you do any more to the finishes that you will make another video of this bike. I know that you like to make what I call sleepers, (good running vehicles that look old and beat up), but I would really like to see a complete restoration that you did. I bet it would be amazing. I would think that the goo that you use to seal the gas tanks would make a really great undercoating for cars in winter climates. Does it dry really hard or does it remain kind of flexible?
Pretty cool. Of course, the old bike at the turn of the century had acetylene lights. My cousin has a few single cylinder Harleys that have all original lights on them. No good for night time riding.
I just wanted to say hi, I just Stumbled across your channel and really like the content you are doing keep it up.. Ive rebuilt a couple of old cub cadet's 1940's With blown motors i was 20 years old and my friend still has them and still run like brand new! Never have done one before that.. But your channel is great and you have a new sub!
Cool. I think the brass can matches better... That said the binoculars were a great idea. Maybe an older style of binoculars that are made out of brass.
Super cool! Maybe a little rich? Did you pack the exhaust as well? You'll have to give us a top speed run when you get a chance. That thing is sure to win some awards!
I have a plan to build a motorcycle inspired by 1900-1910' motorcycles using briggs&stratton 3.5hp engine. your videos are really inspiring. unfortunately in Ireland where I live I probably will never had a chance to ride it on the streets as it would have to be registered, taxed, insured, etc. and I think its not possible to register self build bikes in Europe anymore... (or at least very hard to do so...)
I originally liked the white tires but now they do work as well. What do think about black tires with gum walls? I haven't read comments so pardon me if that's been discussed. I'm loving the build!
I have an idea that should work in theory and it's fairly simple. I'm sure you have heard shaved of heads for reducing the size of the combustion area, in turn, producing bigger explosion to increase power but instead of shaving the heads down what if you just added a little filler inside the head with some weld? Place the weld aka filler in key areas of the chamber as not to interfere with any valves or the top of the piston, also you could smooth the filler down and help guide the explosion. This is just an idea that made be fun to entertain yourself if you just want to try it. I suggest trying it only on a single head engine.
another good vid M , whats that weird looking front brake chain wheel connected to the handbrake ? i used to ride around my grampas old bikes when i was lil solid rubber tires, the brake system was a type rod pushing down a fat sq rubber onto the front wheel directly im guessing prob from 30s?
Thanks for the madness....;) Seriously...That could be in some Post Apocalypse...Steam Punk, Hipster Movie. Send the video to movie props companies. Get the $$$ rolling in!! Some rent out their old classic cars and buses...These moguls want it 'Now'. Usually end up spending tens of thousands on CGI instead. A nice little earner!
you mentioned that you don't like how the rope ratchets kind of stretch, you can replace the rope with whatever you want. i got one after your suggested it
I have seen farm tractors break down tore apart and put back together with far less care than you gave this one far! And they years and years of service. Absolute perfect rebuild you did no but as you stated in the limits you did a excellent job! Thanks

what a great story, and same here the journey is better then the final destination, are you going to put that clip up on your channel?
Love your channel, one of the best on You Tube. Theirs just not much on TV anymore, so I find myself watching your channel for hours, I call it, spending a day with Mustie. thanks, l have the goggles gotta keep an eye out for the others
I love your videos and you doing basic maintenance on stuff it has taught me a lot
thanks for taking the time to watch
I love the suggestion the bike be featured in a movie after the apocalypse. Perhaps coupled with my book. You have done a beautiful job as always, such creativity. Congratulations.
That's a project that Dr. Seuss and I would be very proud of. Your creative nature really is awesome. .
Reminds me of Harley and the Davidsons. First class one of a kind! Nice job Mustie.
Reminds me of the....Umm? Herman & The Munsters?
wish l lived back then
Yes, the tank looks good, but my vote goes for the blue-green with white stripes to pull together with the fenders. Almost the same color as Crusty. Looking good!
YOU ARE WELLCOME YOU HAVE SOME REAL NIFFTY IDEAS I LOVE TO BUILD MOTORCYCLES AND ALL THAT ATV STUFF AND ITS ALWAYS GOOD TO SEE WHEN PEOPLE ENJOY WHAT WE DO
A beautiful creation, one could imagine it being tinkered with for the past hundred years. Hats off to you, Sir.
thanks

Awesome to see it running after watching the build. Great skills to build that!
Well done Mate!! That one will have alotta people scratching their heads!!☺
best part about not putting a name on it is listening to the dudes telling there girl what kind of bike it is
805 ROADKING You know it. I am going to 805ROADKING. I'll be back Mustie. Wow. 1 year. BTW. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone. (2018-19). Keep on wrenchin'!
I bet that's very amusing LOL!
The binocular head lights is awesome. The bike looks awesome.
may use it on the next one
The bike looks awesome! One thing I found on the tube when doing some metal plate work with letters stamped into it was that Sharpie makes an 'Industrial' marker. It hold up much better. Love the overall look of it.
It's looking great, Mustie. Well done, keep it up!
thanks
That thing looks appropriately lethal. Well done!
Watching this from the start, at first I was kinda confused by what was going to come of it exactly. After you started on the tank, then seeing the suspension... It was really exciting to see it coming together waiting for this moment. I'm so happy for you, yet kinda sad that it's getting close to done.
thamks for the comment, l got more to build in me yet,
i love the location and look of that shifter knob :)
First thing that came to mind for me on the binocular head light housing was to use it as a dual tail light housing instead (of course after adding red lenses). Absolutely amazing, you are one talented fellow.
you sir are Amazing. what a joy to watch you put so much Work into the motorcycle. Then to get to see you're first ride. amazing. These hand skills are not lost. thanks to people like you musty1. god bless . cheers buddy
thanks man
Always inspiring. I am trying to like this about 3 times
thanks
Awesome bike! Amazing creativity!
Awesome . Sounds like it was still accelerating every time when you had to let off to turn around. It's like you was reading my mind on the headlight , brass , darker and lower.
yeah it still has more speed to offer but will find that out in the spring
You're a true artist, sir.
Oh the fun and joy of the first initial start and run!
Excellent work. Congratulations!

very cool Brother, just love watching you play around. cheers man. Dizzy.
same here buddy
Way cool...An awesome outcome and you got to a lap.
cant wait for the hot laps
Nice build!! Possible idea for a future build, with the idea of the front end from this bike, have you considered cutting the normal fork off and letting the front tire be supported using only the spring.
looking good shifts pretty good can't wait to see its full potential
spring is just around the corner
That's looking so cool, i love the brass can.
It's got a nice sound and looks like what you were trying for it must ride good , summer time it will be definitely excellent to try it look forward to seeing it ., thanks I do like how it turned out😀😁😁😊
thanks richard
I vote for the brass one.
Wow looks very smooth to ride. May be your best yet..
im still pretty fond of the board tracker
Maybe a race between the two? I think the board track would pull away though..Take Care..
A masterpiece of rolling art !
looks like a load of fun to ride...enjoy!
kids and there toys

Very Very cool, looks like it was made in the 30s or 40s, Good job teach. Mike
thanks
I have never seen a rope ratchet like that, looks real handy. 👍up
Pretty cool. Of course, the old bike at the turn of the century had acetylene lights. My cousin has a few single cylinder Harleys that have all original lights on them. No good for night time riding.
l do have one but it just dident look right
Mustie1 they are like three times bigger than that light...
I remember the moped. And it's looking good.
I just wanted to say hi, I just Stumbled across your channel and really like the content you are doing keep it up.. Ive rebuilt a couple of old cub cadet's 1940's With blown motors i was 20 years old and my friend still has them and still run like brand new! Never have done one before that.. i like the idea of the binoculars way more but the coffee can definately looks and fits better
Love these diy builds!! you really don't get the attention you deserve mustie
im glad to have you guys for sure
a real work of art
Cool. I think the brass can matches better... That said the binoculars were a great idea. Maybe an older style of binoculars that are made out of brass.
Suitably bonkers - well done!
reflection of my mind l guess
Once you sat on it I realized the frame was much longer than I expected. The gas tank ended up looking really nice.
its like seven and a half feet long
That bike looks really cool
Very cool. Good job.
MUSKY THIS MOTORCYCLE BICYCLE THE REAL OLYMPIC CLASS
Love it! Thanks for sharing!!!!
thanks for watching
Excellent jackshaftery !!!
Super cool! Maybe a little rich? Did you pack the exhaust as well? You'll have to give us a top speed run when you get a chance. That thing is sure to win some awards!
Mount the headlights on the rear view mirrors "High and Wide", make for an interesting meet on the road.
I have a plan to build a motorcycle inspired by 1900-1910' motorcycles using briggs&stratton 3.5hp engine. your videos are really inspiring. unfortunately in Ireland where I live I probably will never had a chance to ride it on the streets as it would have to be registered, taxed, insured, etc. and I think its not possible to register self build bikes in Europe anymore... nice bike mustie spring is just around the corner and best of all the bike was made in America
Deek w 💗💗💗
out of made in usa parts too
I'm sure the bike is going to be a lot of fun, but man it looks awesomee
thanks scott
Has a little of the steam punk look going for it love it
+Mustie1 Via some weird time warp you MUST have been the inspiration for the "Doc" character in Back To The Future.
VERY cool. You need a vintage helmet of some sort, aviator maybe.
You made all the right choices.
You looked just like one of the Wright brothers riding that down the street with your shirt tails blowing the wind.
I have an idea that should work in theory and it's fairly simple. I'm sure you have heard shaved of heads for reducing the size of the combustion area, in turn, producing bigger explosion to increase power but instead of shaving the heads down what if you just added a little filler inside the head with some weld?

What about cutting a copper pipe down the center and sticking the halves to the sides of the light can, gives it interesting side bits :-D
Homemade projector beams! I like the binoculars.
it made light circles too
mustie 1 your a sicko bad ass man keep it up👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
already thinkin of the next one
Very cool build indeed, Darrin. Looks good, sounds good and goes good. What more could you ask for?
Speaking personally.
A guess the weight prize draw when he's done with it? ;O
a race against the goofy cart
Well you certainly have won the race to completion, hands down.
Good idea. I will be interested to see how much it weighs myself. The local scrap yard could weigh it within 20 lbs.
To mount those binocks.....a good USA Farnicastaff would look so retro......people will be in AWE
Another success on all fronts.
thanks john
love the front brake
I knew u couldn't wait if it was me I would go for it to
should have filmed me trying to go in the snow up the driveway
u got that right
another good vid M , whats that weird looking front brake chain wheel connected to the handbrake ? i used to ride around my grampas old bikes when i was lil solid rubber tires, the brake system was a type rod pushing down a fat sq rubber onto the front wheel directly im guessing prob from 30s?

or when the real thing happens im all set
69Phuket; Oh hell yeah! Mustie in the Movies 🎥!!!
Thanks Mustie1 for the video. For the insight of Mustie1. And for turning on the camera.
D, you are the master!!. Been waiting longer for the finale than the last Sapranos episode. As the anti fouler the culprit on engine issues?
yes it was
Admire your creativity.
thanks
you mentioned that you don't like how the rope ratchets kind of stretch, you can replace the rope with whatever you want. i got one after your suggested it
l think the string thats inbedded in the rope is its type, red/blue, red flexes and blue is solid but not sure,
