Jig bites galore that day, lot of fun there. That spillway was like ringing the dinner bell for those Bass. Something I happen to notice, not many of us that bank fish for Bass carry a net. My thinking is that when we land them by beaching them, it would be very hard to get a net under them, and trying might cause us to loose them.
Tons of fish sitting in that spot. No monsters but it was a dang fun time. Thanks for watching my friend!
As an almost exclusive catfisherman I enjoy watching people catch bass sometimes, mostly on topwater. I do bass fish from time to time while waiting for the cats to show up. When I do fish soft plastics it is only wacky style Senko or, forgive me I can't remember the name, a plastic "buzzbait" style frog. What would be cool would be a vid for newbies or those of us, like me, who don't bass fish with soft plastics much, to recognize bites, especially from shore (I don't have a boat lol).

I went last night to my "dink" pond and boy the white weightless fluke was the ticket! Fished till it was too dark and the gnats and bugs got the best of me. I like Randizzle 's " Just fish"👍

Hearing you say he went back to get his jig rod made me think back to your "How to Choose a Baitcasting Combo for SWIM JIGS" video. Maybe we can get some more of those types of videos if you can think of any you haven't covered. I always learn a lot!

I had a similar day years ago on a small lake in the city limits. An overnight rain was washing dirty water in through the creek. I was in my canoe throwing a shallow crank bait into the current and fishing it back down stream. Every time it hit the clearer edge of that seam I got bit. Nice to see you catch fish on a gifted lure.

hey DEBO, as a bank fisherman we like to stay light, do you have any recommendations (or maybe a future video) on what you bring with you to and from your spots?
Me personally my man. Depending where im fishing 2 rods (one finesse spinning and a casting) and backpack. Backpack has a little of everything enough to do a weighted T-rig, a couple moving baits, search baits, and a topwater.
Man...this video is so overdue! I need to do a breakdown of my tackle bag and such. Trying to get this one done soon!

Looking forward to catching my first bass on a jig. I've been fishing a long time but never caught a bass on a jig. I haven't understood how to fish it, and the weed guard looks like it would compromise hook sets. Your jig videos have inspired me to figure it out.
Debo I got my PB last night! 3.5lbs ~17-18 inches. Put up a real good fight, took me about 3 minutes to reel him in. Super happy and I used your tips for wormin!

That can be some tough fishing. Around here when that happens they go really shallow though!

The chatterbait custom is the best bang for the buck I think. The thunder cricket is pricey but it has been consistent for me!

Woot, 5 mins into the video and we're wet already. Then we got a bonus splash in the "no-no square" towards the end.
Tyler from TylersReelFishing did a jig video the other day and he did something so simple it made me feel like a tard for doing it the other way. Then I saw you do it the was I was doing it. Push the weed guard down against the hook shank when putting on your trailer. Not only is it easier since it's meant to go that way on hookset, it returns right to it place when done.
I always fluff my weed guards out so it's ok by me. Especially if I'm around wood, fanning them out towards the sides helps a ton to keep from getting snagged!

You would think that all of the bass being that length would mean the lake is over populated with stunted bass, but they have fat ass bellies. So much for that theory!

Caught my best of the season 6.5 lbs 2 weeks ago on a black and blue Terminator jig with 4" Yum Dinger trailer, both bought in store at Dick's. Only bite the whole 3 hours that day. Ha ha ha!

DEBO'S Fishing I was more of a Donatello kid myself as a child, probably because I always got stuck as him while playing ninja turtles with my brother haha. Now I think I’m more of a Raphael man, myself. But it would be more fun to be mikey
This is my first year specifically looking for bass and I’m having terrible luck. I’m in Iowa too so maybe you can point me in the right direction. I don’t know if they’ve already spawned, if they’re in the shallows, if they’re moving into deep water, any of that. Caught one last Saturday, just one, and haven’t caught anything since.
Smaller lakes and ponds they are done spawning around here. Post spawn can be tough. Keep grinding man, the sessions have been hard for me too!
DEBO'S Fishing I actually caught my PB on Friday! I actually caught it on a bluegill. Like, I hooked the bluegill with a grub, and the bass came up for the bluegill. The plan was to use a bluegill for bait so I’m not even mad, but that’s still gotta he a once in a lifetime catch. 😂
I was up in Minnesota jig fishing smallies, and I lost like 4 jigs, cuz it was rocky asl. Thankfully they were bitsy jigs so they were cheap. Any tips on how not to get snagged?
I try to go as light as I can get away with. 1/4 or 5/16th has been great from the banks!

What lbs test were you fishing your jigs on
I use 15lb for those smaller finesse jigs.
I'm new too bass fishing and want to know if you think 20 pound power pro braid is enough for bass?

I use 20 and 30 pound braid.Power Pro Moss Green. I have a Quantum Pulse Bait caster reel. Great reel. My buddy Hillers has a Abu Garcia Black Max. On a Berkley Cherrywood rod. Medium Heavy. Great cheap combo. So people use 65 braid. Shawn
If you are using braid then you should put electrical tape on the spool, this prevents the braid from slipping. Braid is known to slip on the spool and this can make you lose fish
Why do finesse jigs work? Like what about them make them appealing honestly question I really wanna throw one

Do you have any suggestions for a pond with not a lot off grass super clear water 6 foot visability and some scum and lots of wood want a big bass and I have seen a couple 5 pounders and lots of bluegill what baits should I youse?
If you got a pond like that just fish everything you have try a few then next time try a few more. Try different colors of the same thing till they bite.
I'd throw a frog in that scum. I'd pitch a texas rigged creature bait or worm at any piece of wood I could find. I'd cover water with a swim jig or paddle tail in between. A weightless stick bait is always good too!
