  • Another Sebo to add to the collection. This model sits between the Storm base model and the top of the range D4 Premium with E1 Power Head.
Details below taken from Sebo’s UK website:
With a 15.5m cleaning range and 6l capacity, the SEBO AIRBELT D2 KOMFORT ePower brings professional cleaning capabilities to the home. The ergonomic handle grip makes it comfortable to use, whilst the soft airbelt bumper system protects walls and furniture. Featuring the versatile and durable SEBO KOMBI cleaning head, the AIRBELT D2 KOMFORT ePower is suitable for all floors and also comes with a Floor Turbo Brush for easy and effective carpet cleaning.
Designed in collaboration with Achim Heine, Professor of product design and member of the German Design Council, the SEBO D ePower range represents form and function in harmony.
Innovation. Comfortable handle grips for easy manoeuvring, a soft airbelt bumper system to protect your furniture, together with many other details, create a vacuum cleaner that works with you, and your home. For example the circular front, with its patented airbelt bumper, is ideal for moving around obstacles and allows a large capacity 6l bag. An extra long 12m cable contributes to an incredible 15.5m cleaning range.
Performance. The air flow through the machine has been optimised and a high tech cone-shaped hose has been used, which significantly improves suction. The suction motor uses the latest turbine technology to give superlative cleaning power. Professional cleaning heads and a highly efficient filtration system combine to give outstanding cleaning performance on any type of floor. The SEBO KOMBI cleaning head has unique removable inserts so that you can choose between maximum suction under the cleaning head, or edge cleaning.
Quality. Made in Germany, SEBO vacuum cleaners are constructed from the highest quality materials. Every SEBO vacuum cleaner is fully tested before it leaves the factory, so that you can be confident that in buying a SEBO, you are buying the best.

I wish that we can get prices on German products like they’re available on the other side of the puddle over here. I’d buy two of the exact model and be set for life as far as canisters go. The D series is made like nothing else.

You can also remove the little plugs either side of the Komi head and they can be placed back the other way so you don’t lose them

It's all in the instructions that come with the Kombi head.
I like it on the Felix for tiled floor and occasionally on nylon carpet. Works well. Obviously if you normally use a brush roller type head on carpet than this head is a bit harder to push on full suction. It depends on the type of carpet you have. It's all about product knowledge and how to use it correctly. 😊

A couple of cleaners one upright one for dusting, a canister. You are right because carpets need one machine that beat the floor. I think many had also one for the car or garage a Shopvac sort of machine. Another machine that as I remember your show was a Hoover for mattress actually a Hoover one. I had a Japanese one from a brand not common Iris Ohyama. Anyway a machine for each task It looks for your explanation and experience what makes a good machine it’s not only quality also access to spares and easy to clean the machine itself. Some appliances look quite luxury at a non convenience price others had excellent and improve technology but are not that easy to be maintenance. In summary Sebo blends easy maintenance, spare parts and it works for long periods before change filters or bags. Same apply to Milele they also had a bigger service that cover more countries like mine. Hoover use to be like that but for some reason they try other way and ended selling the brand, different was Electrolux now focus in commercial appliances. I’m not sure if Dyson will win and prevail they try offering more and more technology some of that already was on Hoover. Who knows anyway thanks Rog 🙏🏽

I got to like Sebo, as I'm frequently vacuuming my grandma's house with a Felix 1 that's running flawlessly since quite some time. To be fair, I'm more of a bagless person, as I like seeing the stuff I just vacuumed up, but they're brilliant cleaners, and they're not too loud either. Concerning the EU regulations: I don't really care. Yes, they're a bit pointless with hoovers, as you don't run them all day, but at some point, the power ratings were so high that you couldn't even push the nozzle across a carpet anymore. My aunt's Miele 890W CX1 performs the same or even better than my old 1100W Dyson DC23. Your mileage may vary, but I personally don't need more power, and I do have carpets with pet hair on them. For everything else, my Kärcher WD5 shop vac comes into action. I love your reviews!

The Miele turbo head is a huge step back since you can’t remove the brush roll to clean.

While it only pulls 80 inches of water column on the gauge, that's only measuring sealed suction.
SEBO canisters have tremendous airflow, and SEBO vacuums in general are airflow optimized as you can see in the video the wide tapered hose and the 36mm diameter attachment fittings.

Roger I have an idea for you for a more long form video:
It’ll be a carpet washing video, but first you could show you vacuuming with a mains powered cleaner, but then you could go over with one of the most powerful cordless machines in your collection, then wash the carpet. Not to prove anything, I’m just curious what kind of debris the mains cleaner would leave behind if any

Thank you for this demo Roger! Does Sebo make a very soft dusting brush for cleaning delicate surfaces? It sounded like the onboard brush provided with this D2 has very stiff bristles that could scratch some surfaces.

    Hi Roger,
Thanks for the video. I am desperately seeking some advice regarding my wool carpets. I had them steamed cleaned about 4 weeks ago and I think they’ve been ruined. They now have a very strong ‘woolly’ smell, like sheep. I initially thought this was just due to some residual dampness in the day or so following the r clean. However, it has persisted. I think I will be left with no option but to replace the carpets. Have you heard of such a thing happening before?
    Thanks

Did they extract the water properly? Try sprinkling with carb soda and leave over night it will help with odour and keep doors and windows open to allow air circulation and the drying of the carpet.

Is the carpet dry? When you say _steam-cleaned,_ do you mean wet extraction cleaning or solely steam?
The first thing I'd do is to call the cleaners back and ask them to deal with it.
Secondly, I'd call the carpet _manufacturers_ and make a general enquiry about cleaning and the wool smell, without leaving your name.
Either way, buying brand new carpets seems rather extreme!
