Are you a fan of Margaret Rutherford's Miss Marple? Let me know in the comments!
Love her! To me she is and always will be THE Miss Marple.
I absolutely adore Margaret Rutherford; she brought such a unique quirky spirit to the miss marple character. You have such a warm , relaxing voice~ great review 😊
I totally agree. I loved this whole series, so I'm looking forward to checking out some of her non-Marple roles. And thanks very much!
Yes, I am a fan of Margaret Rutherford as Miss Marple. I enjoyed this movie and your review. Well done!
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Love that you have done.a review of these because I love MR in the role of Marple.
I think the scripts are a bit patchy for those who may wish for a 'definitive' Marple story but she is brilliant - I still see her as the archetypal Marple more so than Joan Hickson who also is brilliant and whose series captures the genre.
But they do stand on their own and I still watch them regularly because there is something 'wholesome' about the series which is not found today.
Yes, Rutherford is my favorite Miss Marple. The others I've seen who have taken that role don't hold a candle to her, and frankly I find them boring. I have yet to find another Miss Marple that I enjoy watching. Like the new piano music!
She definitely has the most verve out of all the Marples I've seen so far. Thanks very much!
Yes I am. She has an interesting quality that I can’t put my finger on.
Yes she does, she brings so much determination and energy to her performances.
I LOVE Margaret Rutherford. She's not a perfect fit for Miss Marple, but she's glorious. These are my all time fav Christie films.
They are some of the most fun Agatha Christie adaptations out there (as loose as they may be).
I think Hollywood should use A.I. to make more of these movies with the whole crew. Black and white. Retro script writing.
I always took Mr. Stringers' panic with the home owner as a heart already devoted to Ms. Marple.
