Remender does a great job bringing the heart out of characters, especially with his Indie titles. Things can get quite fucked up for the cast but his writing feels honest (a little self indulgent at times but honest) and there tends to be a nice balance between characters being at their lowest and rising above their pain and doubts to achieve something beautiful. I'd be curious how you'd rank Brian K. Vaughn's stuff since you love his work too xD. Both him and Remender mess me up man.
HEYYY! I wonder what genius suggestws that topic! 😂Deadly class is a book everyone loves, except me. No idea why, but I couldn't get into it for the life of me. Everything else here I LOVED, though I would've also put Low on here. Agent Venom is my favorite book ever, cause it helped me deal with my depression and family issues, while coincidentally featuring my favorite character in all of fiction! Oh end Tokyo Ghost was amazing as well!
Remender is fantastic. Love x-force and also deadly class but still haven’t finished it! It started to lose me the last few issues with the giant time jumps and I never picked up the final few issues when it was coming out
Man, to do a top 5 remender titles is sure a tough one, but i would say these picks r pretty solid! The only thing i would pick differently is Fear Agent at d top of my list, to me this is his magnum opus. Peace n love from Malaysia, cheers!
Nice! I've only got 5 of the big beasts on my shelf so heres my rating baring in mind a reread could change some places as ive only read these five once. 5 - Low Massively disappointed in this series...convaluted and characterless. That said im hoping a reread will change my opinion. 4 - The Scumbag. Not bad...enjoyed it for the most part until the obvious ending and Remender jumping out of the scumbags character for a few panels to wail on his soap box about covid and never questioning scientists...silly but that aside decent book. 3 - A righteous thirst for vengeance. I fucking loved this fast paced, Tarentino esk story. Remender is known for plenty of writing within his works ( i love allot of prose ) but Thirst tells allot of its story just through its great Art. Loved it. 2 - Tokyo Ghost. Fantastic Art coupled with fascinating writing. Brilliant story. 1 - Seven to Eternity. This was my first Reminder book and it blew me away. Loved everything about it. Thats all i have of his and look forward to diving into his earlier works. ✌️
Interesting on low. Its super depressing despite trying to be hopeful. I really dug it but I can see people not. I think Scumbag is easily his worst book ever. It's embarrassingly bad haha. But I know some love it! I agree big time on Thrist. Curious what you'll think of Black Sciece and Deadly Class.
Fear Agent got good at the end. Crazy stuff. Not into Thirst or Tokoyo Ghost. Secret Avengers was eh. Will read Seven to Enterity and will give Low a shot. Took me years to read Deadly Class. That book was great
@korribreki heard Low was depressing and no hope. Was not interested. Someone said it was good. I loved it. Lady had hope. Her kids had major issues. Raw series
@@korribreki They're similar alright. But why would similar stuff be close to each other in a top list? I judge quality and not whether I like the genre/theme/topic or not. FA to me is Remender still developing his craft and BS is basically FA 2.0.

Brian k Vaughn even tougher since I like about 95% of his work haha
@@UltimateChanceMaybe you could also do creators like Garth Ennis, James Tynion IV, Ed Brubaker and Michael Moreci for example

4 A Righteous Thirst for Vengeance

You put Black Science at the top and Fear Agent at the bottom? I respect your opinion I just thought those 2 were the most similar of his books
