I am relatively new to diving into the 40k universe, and it's like drinking from a fire hose with all the Lore and backstories and I love it. I love these videos and these Dredd like characters are awesome. Awesome video, good work.
Its a big rabbit hole but so worth it. I have never played the table top but I have read a ton of the novels and played some of the video games. I love how you have obvious bad guys like Dark Eldar and Chaos and then you have the "good guys" who are still terrible enough to make Hitler look like a nice guy.
Oh also its debatable on whether Tyranids are evil or just animals, I mean they do act based on hive minds, but so do many insects in the real world, whether or not tyranids are subject to morality of good and evil is in debate, are they immoral killers or are they just a hungry lion feeding on antelope.
@stanboyd1 that's what I love, then there's rhe heresy in the "good guys" as well, this whole despair and violence and survival atmosphere in this universe, with little thought given to a universe without the fighting, so deeply entrenched in surviving, its easy to get lost in.
"But then you would stand Guilty of wasting my ammunition" I think outside of Primarchs that has to be like my top 3 favorite quotes ive heard in general
Remember, the Imperium of Man contains untold trillions of living souls, the Inquisition/any single Inquisitor is not a monolith... you have no idea how many Inquisitors are "good", you only know of the infinitesimally tiny number of Inquisitors that have any information written about them, to explain what the "rule is" with so little information is inaccurate to say the least...
This transmission was a blast, brother Remembrancer! 🙌I was expecting a short one, but it was indeed a treat. 🙂Great job as always, it was beautifully presented! ❤❤❤
Considering we play death row inmates of the Imperium, I'm not sure that could work. However! The choice of a sort of max level Arbites prestige class for say the Veteran might work.
Thank you so much for making this Video! It's amazing to see that one of the greatest 40k lore channels covered this topic. The Arbites are by far my most favorite non-battlfield faction in 40k, probably because i'm a huge fan of jugde dredd and a nerd when it comes to law enforcement in media. I got myself 5 Soulshackle Boxsets and painted all the Arbites in one sitting, which i never do with my other armies. 😭
Law & order: special heretical unit. Within the many laws of the imperium there are a great many who can turn away from the emperor’s light. I’m these are the stories of those who takes to hunt down these heretics.
Hope we get more Arbites novels as they are so cool and help with he universe building of how the common person lives and interacts with these elements of the Imperium.
My homebrew often sends chapter serfs to serve as subordinates to Arbites agents within the system. The cooperation between inquisition, chapter, and arbites helps with stability which is always a fragile thing when populations the size of those found on hive worlds are involved. It’s inevitable that criminal organizations and ambitions rebel groups rise.
I want to see crazy rules for 40K. Especially for large scale campaigns. Where you can truly go wild with time, the warp & Legion/Chapter creation. Maybe your Chapter 's planetary system was warp isolated/influenced. Which caused a mutation allowing for Space Marine procreation. A mini version of the Emperor's galaxy. Where everything worked out. They have male & female marines, no Chaos & planetary transportation via a web-way. A storied history where several humanoid types were saved from isolated greatest demons & zenos alike. Only to have the entire thing come crashing down. When the real empire discovers them.
Back in the Rogue Trader days before 3rd Edition there was no such thing as they are BT's they were a chapter of Space Marines called Space Police, in full beaky power armor with their own chapter flag and everything! I am so glad that they switched over to more of a Judge Dredd thing cuz it fits them so much better than just a bunch of MP's that are Space Marines as you know damn well Space Marines would not have the time to be doing all that they're not built for that they don't care about criminality and uprisings unless they're told to go there to kill things😅😅😅😅😅
As someone with a diagnose of schizo effective, watching tv with volume off while listening to the radio at full blast is an experience that is worth doing
I really wish there was something like a miscellaneous imperial loyalists faction to give larger scale tabletop representation of hive gangers, rouge traders, abites, and others. At the very least combine the inquisition, officio assassin, and grey nights into one inquisition codex instead of having 3 separate smaller incomplete feeling codexes. Then maybe add in arbites and tempestus scions as troupe choices for more variety. (I just really want arbites units.) While I'm out here making wishes that I know will never come true give the tau more xenos auxiliary. make another xeno guard hibred faction between the tau and human trators. Give the orks more gretchin and units like a night goblin equivalent. Make a dark mecanicum faction but non chaos allied, I want to see xeno's tech, AI robots, and other tech heresy. Chaos xenos. And finally maiden world Eldar.
The Imperium owns its survival for the past ten thousand years for them as they kept the Emperor realm together through his laws, and without them Chaos would have sweep across the Imperium with no resistance.
A killer video game idea would be a far cry style game where you play as the sole survivor of the fortress precinct following a massive chaos cult uprising and the entirety of the game is spent dismantling the chaos cult and leading a huge guerilla war against them
