"Travel with Gary and Amika"
Welcome to the Official Travel with Gary and Amika UA-cam Channel, a father daughter combo capturing campervan style travel vlogs in and around the mountains, beaches, campsites and wild camping fully off grid.
Gary is dedicated to his daughters future and enjoys documenting her passion for life, which is apparent through Amikas constant giggling and smiles. He is well travelled having visited some 39 countries, however this quickly became difficult to continue when Amika was born. With his love for travel he wasnt going to let being a single father tie him down. When Amika was just 5 they jumped on a plane and backpacked around Romania and have since visited France and Spain twice exploring the Pyrenees mountain range.
In January 2022 Gary bought on old builders van and converted into a fully off grid tiny home on wheels with the aim of getting out and about as much as possible to see more of the world. UA-cam seemed the perfect way to documented these travels and to take a step into the world of becoming a digital nomad.
Gary and Amika both thank you for being here and hope that through their videos they can bring you a sense of adventure, a lots of laughter and with a clear message that you should never grow up and never take life too seriously!

That double seat makes a massive difference, plus you have storage room underneath.

At the base of the B pillar under the plastic trim there's a captive nut that you can fix the seatbelt to rather than the seat and when the seat is swiveled it doesn't pull the seatbelt round the seat it stays on the B pillar
That's really useful to know. Thanks so much. I'll look into this as that B pillar is a massive heat loss trap at the moment so need to work on it. Cheers!!
If you go to avw or Merc van centre there's a version of the B pillar that wrap's round to the door rubber and closes of the gap

A proper informative video, Gary and looks like you're gonna be busy fettling the van for a few weeks. I'm basically doing the same with Viv in the new year. I'm going to convert the passenger seats intto swivel seats and the rubbishly made kitchen the converter put together out of bits of plywood and plastic vinyl is going too. I figure I gotta be able to do a better job than he did and like you, when you build your own, you put your mark on it.
