Why Are Some Of Us Left-Handed? | BYJU’S Fun Facts

- We all know that humans tend to have a dominant hand. That is, the hand we use to do most of our tasks. About 90%of the world’s population is made up of right handed people. Only 9% of the world’s population is made of left handed people. And so, left handed people end up being the minority in the right handed world. This has a lot to do with the brain and its left hemisphere and right hemisphere. While research suggests that being a left handed person might have something to do with genetics, it is not yet proven. It is fascinating to think about why some people are left-handed. Is there a difference in how the hemispheres of the brain works for left-handed people?
In this video, we answer all these questions and more. After all, there’s a reason why we celebrate international left handers day!

I did the things you told to do and I used my left hand most of the time. But I use my right hand for righting and I use my right hand for throwing a ball and etc. So I am not sure whether I am right handed or left handed. But one thing is sure that I am a left footer. I can hardly use my right leg to kick a ball. So what kind of a person is me?
In first 2 activities I used my left hand and in the last one I used my right hand but I am right handed so I have a question that am I right handed or left handed because I use both my hands to to do any type of task?
