Finally: 1:45 & on, he said what I wanted to hear what most scalp tat guys don't know. That if you press too hard it can sink in your skin instead of turning into a DOT, Mimicking hair follicle This guy got the answer & sounds like he knows what he's doing. I been familiar with micro pigmentation, (I call it micro pigment) since the late '90s. I seen it starting in U.K on a MySpace page. Now it is huge in the U.S. I got it done in 2004. And I did some myself. Lots of guys out there charging so much and know so little. Every person's skin is different some skin is dry some is oily. When u get a chance especially your head where Sun hits & your scalp can get oily, when the machine taps your head instead of sticking, it may spread,, like the 2nd guy. It happened to me on my 1st session l, but thank God I was tellin that guy what to do, cuz no 1 knew how to do it anyway, it was new to everyone. But he was the only guy willin to do it with the smallest needle he had that I asked for. But mine's faded so I got it done a 2nd from another, i told the guy what to do & he did it. He chose a dark gray cuz my hair isnt jet black. I'm thinking of gettin a 3rd session, but lots of people don't know what they're doing. & I'm sorry but Micro pigmentation shouldn't cost as much as a car. Especially if someone like me knows how much it cost for the products, machine & ink. I don't care how good you are. For that I'm willing to do it for ya. But I choose a micro pen. I charge much much less. And it will fade in a few years, cuz I rather it fade than you end up with a dark botch or patched that can be removed. With that being said , 👆 this guy sounds like he knows what he's doing.
The bad jobs a lot of time are done by students who took a 1 week smp class. Smp classes in my opinion should be like an apprenticeship it should take years to learn.
This is true and in reality it does take years to learn, that’s why there’s so many bad jobs out there. I don’t provide beginners training for this reason. My own artists have been through an apprenticeship with me working by my side.
I really like your attention to detail and the passion you have for this art. Your finished work is among the best I've seen over the years. The hairline is the most crucial element to get right, and you take extra care and are very skilled. Bravo!
Great work. Very fair skinned here so afraid, but seeing your hairline gives me hope. I dont want the 21 year old hairline but rather 31. Yours is brilliant.
Great job! I don’t know if I necessarily would’ve known the difference between a not so great procedure and a really good one until I seen your before and after pictures. Honestly I hadn’t even heard of something like this until now. This would likely be a life saver for women who have thinning edges or balding edges due to years of tension styling. Styles like wearing tightly coiled braids which thins or balds the edges of lots of African American women over time.
Really like your work and the natural fading on the hairline, I would consider SMP but have always been a little scared of getting a Action Man hairline.
Your amazing my friend,I’ve been through a disaster with SMP and your work is impeccable.I have seen one other company that is on your page and they are called “Scalp Logic”.Are you familiar with them and what is your take? I have been through a disaster and it was 99% fully removed through a process called “Eliminink”..I was left so stigmatized that I wouldn’t consider it again. That is until I saw your videos and “scalp logic” simple just incredibly realistic hair follicles..
Yea it’s terrible that you’ve had to go through this, unfortunately this is a problem that runs rife in our industry. Yes I’m aware of scalp logic and I’m sure they would look after you very well.
I really want to get an SMP procedure because I have diffuse thinning. My hair looks a lot better when I wear Toppik, but I'd like SMP because it would be a more long-lasting solution than Toppik. My hair is about 1/2" long, so it's not a shaved haircut like the example in this video. My hairline is receded to about a Norwood 2.5 or so, which doesn't really bother me because most people my age have at least some recession. The part I hate is the diffuse thinning. Do I need to go to a hair transplant surgeon for SMP? What advice do you have if I want to find a good clinic?
Visit the clinic and ask to see their healed work, if you feel comfortable with the people that they are honest and care about you then I would say you are in safe hands.
Creative Scalps Sorry but i don't understand what you say on minute 2:00 about skin stretched. Can you explain me please? Sorry for my english. Thanks.
So I've had 3 sessions and by the 3rd it looked great for about 4 days, then it started to push out of my skin. It didn't take and after a week it was basically gone. Just to add the technician is top class, Going back for the 4th session. Any advice would be brilliant thanks
If your artist/technician is top class then he will find a way to achieve success for you. In rare cases this can take quite a few sessions to work out what is happening with the skin. Don’t be in a rush to get it completed, just stick with the process and have faith your artist will find a way …
Your work looks amazing good sir , do you have an office in California San Francisco perhaps ? I'd pay you a visit immediately, hairlines I've seen on some people here are just disastrous you can tell a mile away that it was a tattoo your work looks amazing you give us balding men hope, God bless
I did smp a couple months ago but I think I had him drop the hairline to low and wanted to do slight adjustment. can I use a laser company to arch the corners of the hairline just a little higher. Is something like that possible.
I'm in FL and had 4 sessions done by my long time barber who got into it and all I get is compliments like nice haircut or damn who's your barber haha, SMP is definitely worth it, Problem is I suffer from dandruff which I had zero of since I had it controlled but now after SMP it has returned and I'm afraid that dandruff shampoo can damage my SMP, It doesn't snow in Miami so people will notice its dandruff 🤪
If your SMP is fully healed then the anti dandruff shampoo is not going to harm it. Just use it once or twice a week along with regular moisturiser and your scalp will be back to good condition again 👍🏼
@@creativescalps5962 Nice thanks man, Started Aveeno moisturizer a few days ago when I saw the wife had some laying around and waiting for day 30 after my last touch up, Good idea to do it just a few days a week. Great Content 👍 👌
Hello what is the guys name and business in Arizona? Trying to find a top SMP artist here That understands all avenues of the process with the things that you described in your video?
Did either one of the guys in the video need laser removal before their smp was fixed? Aside from laser removal are there other ways smp artist can fix mistakes without the clients smp looking overdone?
I've recently had it done but not 100% happy with the results the front section from the hairline to about halfway back seems to be darker then the rest
Yes that’s a common mistake that can be made by inexperienced Artists as the front section takes ink/pigment a lot quicker than the back. Are you in the UK to visit the clinic and we may be able to help you ?
@@creativescalps5962 what’s the solution to this issue? your going to end up with dark looking stubble on top and grey all round the sides when you are old it will be very noticeable you also have to shave your head everyday or it will start to look weird, best just to have it off or transplants
How do you know i dont have knowledge you dont have knowledge that i dont have so how do you know that, well you dont, i didnt come hair for no stubble.
I think you are right, I saw another person who had done smp and said the same thing. He has to buzz cut every day otherwise it looks weird. You hair are 3 dimensional, they also have height, smp is two dimensional.

It really depends how dark and dense your remaining hair is and is something you should experiment with to suit your own individual needs.

Hello
I have a guy in California at www.headliner.ink
Or a guy in Arizona at www.creativescalps arizona.com
I am coming to the USA in April 2022
You are very talented, how much does this procedure cost roughly?
Thankyou prices are in the region of 2-3k for full procedures.
Where would you end the SMP on someone who is totally bald? Do you only do the top of the head and not super far down the sides/back?
You can carry the SMP through the sides and back, I like it to gradually fade out the lower it gets to keep it looking good 👍🏼
Are you using gray wash to achieve these results with the different shades? Or what type of pigments are you using if I may ask?
Yes I mix my own shades. We are working on bringing out my Shades in partnership with BishopSMP
@@creativescalps5962 your results are incredible man. Well done!
Do you use the 1rl needle only for a more natural look?
We don’t use a 1rl. We use a 3rl
Great video can smp bring vitilgo back due to trauma to the skin if you know
Not really, that might be pushing the boundaries a little too much I’m afraid.
great video mate
Thankyou

something like that possible.
It definitely possible yes…
How do we know if we will get the good vs newbie technician?
Ask for their portfolio of work, talk to them, get to know them… it’s difficult to trust people I know
Is dandruff shampoo OK to use?
Once SMP is healed yes for sure 👍🏼
