Well, our buddy, Old Man Brian (He calls himself that!) is bringing back that feeling in a big way with his first gen Honda Fit. It's K24 swapped, turbo'd and still comfortable enough to drive every damn day.

I tuned that car and drove it to Tucson for the king of the open road event. Drove it from Phoenix, did the race required drive to Tombstone, raced it then drove it home. It was one of the best experiences I’ve had! It made 519 hp 390tq on the dyno on the 13lb spring. Had a ground issue on the ecu which was finally found and alleviated. For Tucson it ran 141mph at 16 lbs. We made it to finals. I turned it up to 21.8lbs and missed fourth but still ran 138mph. We have plans to make 150+ mph runs with this car.
What is the price tag gonna be for that unit!??
What kind of fuel economy did it get on the way? I know it's tuned for fun and power, but genuinely curious.

I sold this guy a makita tool and had a conversation with him about his fit when he saw mine. It's awesome to see the car he was talking about. Even better than I had imagined.
It's always so cool when vids _hit_ like that. Seems like a cool dude ("Subaru guys, come on now" had me 🤣). I love the concept of keeping it "daily" equipped, (A/C, full interior, etc).
It is a super clean build.
There is NOTHING cooler than walking on a Camaro,corvette and a mustang in a Fit!!!!!!
But those cars are effing PODS. Ugly as hell.

@@SamuelGonzalez-pn8yn I am,I just like seeing the underdog win,you can go buy a vet,Camaro or mustang with 500 HP off the lot all day,but that FIT had 100HP off the lot and someone put thought and work into spanking those cars. that’s way cooler in my opinion.
@@adamadams6740 Nothing cool about an ugly ass car with s h!tload of money in it just to beat a Camaro. You can beat a fast car in a Go Kart with a performance Motorcycle eng. Bottom line the Fit looks like shit going down the track.

I agree...Keep the interior. I dont think its worth removing the interior for a tenth of a second in gains.
Only reason to do it is a dedicated race car. Doing that to a street car sucks, for sure.
I agree. Why would you want your drag car to go faster?
Uh, there’s over 500lbs of useless stuff nobody needs… but there is some danger in a daily driver that inspections don’t like… bare metal shreds people in wrecks. Just one seat could weight 180lbs.
If your not hauling people, there’s no reason to have this stuff in the car at all.
@@Lurid_Whips It's already an 8 second car. If I can have a comfortable interior and AC, plus run an 8 second quarter, I'm keeping that interior and I'm not stripping it.

Everything fits in a FIT
I owned a manual, stock fit and sold it at about 300K.
I loved that car so much. The wife didn’t want it around while we waited for the kids to get old enough to drive.
Say what you want, but even the stock motor was a workhorse. Still got about 38mpg at 300k miles.
I love that the interior was kept. This swap makes me so happy.
Let me know when you’re thinking about selling it. I’m in Indy. I’ll use it as my daily to work.

I'm 45yrs old and familiar with being the "old guy". My nephews are always bragging about builds. This build is freaking amazing. My first serious build was a '95 Civic EX wayyy back in '99. I love seeing these types of builds. Since that Civic, I've built several cars. Right now, I'm in a '10 MINI Clubman S that's pushing about 340ish. It's basically a mild track build. I've always told myself that if I were to ever build another Honda, it would be a Fit. Seriously, man... This build is awesome!

This was very cool. Always good content coming from VA. I would love to Kswap one of my 3 Fit's. Hopefully sometime in the near future it'll be more of a straightforward swap with readily available components.

1:20 The beat drop then engine revving on the dyno will make your heart skip a beat. Had it turned up and thought the engine rev was part of the song. 😅

i get annoyed the by Honda tuner philosophy of sacrificing interior, AC, PS, etc. for "tiny gains" because they don't have the know how to hook up AC PS, etc.
This is a NO Compromise build Street and Track Monster. I love it!
Fun build. Would love to K swap my 5th gen Lude SH, or finally build my H22 turbo. Good to know you guys are in the valley of the sun. 15 years, 368k and still daily driven turning heads.
It definitely makes non honda people throw a "Fit" as they watch the taillights get smaller and smaller. Awesome build gentleman, keep up the excellent work.

I have a 2012 fit I absolutely love it but I’d love to have even half this power.I’d rather keep my old fit and put 20 grand into the motor than finance a new car.any Honda shop in AZ finance a bad ass motor and transmission??? Lol

You can buy all the stuff for this build off of the shelf except for the axles, those i think you have to piece together but theres a couple different options.

Well i got this midnight purple GD from my mate for $750 after my camrys head gasket went, and had no plans for anything other than using it to teach my daughter to drive manual. Wonder if i can swap in a k24 in a few years and see if she notices.
