If you really want to preserve the points, look into Hondaman's transitorized ignition system. Good condensors (and points) are getting hard to find, all the ones from the major vendors are cheap chinese ones, my brand new condensors crapped out in less than 200 miles while the original ones from 50 years ago still worked fine.
The transistor system bypasses the condensors, as well as removing the arcing on the points. It can also be unplugged and swapped back to the standard system on the side of the road if it does happen to fail. The guy that makes it has been working on these bikes since they came out in the 70's, so he's a wealth of knowledge. I picked his brains when I had to do a top end rebuild and cam swap.

Welcome to the channel and I appreciate the suggestion. I'm currently running the dyna electronic ignition and it's been over 3k miles with zero issue. I should of done the conversion years ago!
