    Great detailed video very helpful, just one note did you set your timing light for 6 degrees as per the manual. I tried at 0 degrees and i was not able to correctly see the F mark. With the light set at 6 degrees it was spot on.

      Saveno - No - my timing light doesn't have that - for your trype of light you should set yours to zero and recheck and set - or try another timing light - something is not right

    What should I do if I can't move the plate far enough to get the timing in spec?

      something is wrong then - you may have the timing light on the wrong cylinder - triple check your work - Cheers and keep at it Kanes!

    Great vid but how do u set the time if the bike won't run

    • @carquestions
      @carquestions  2 роки тому

      Aiden - you need four basic things for an engine to run. Air to get in, good compression, fuel and spark - so check your air intake and filter, do a compression check, clean carburetors, check ignition cables and replace spark plugs - let me know how you make out - Cheers from Canada!

      @@carquestions ok it will run but it takes like an hour to it to crank and it has fuel like it's really hard to actually get it to run

    Use JIS screwdriver, NOT Phillips on these old Japanese bikes

      @@carquestions Do you know why my bike might be leaking white smoke a little bit out of that breather on the top of the engine? Where that tappets and cam are? It's a freshly rebuilt engine bored 50 over only 80 miles on it and I'm not sure if I should be worried about it or not. It's a 75 cb400f
