Trailer from early 1992 advertising the opening of Euro Disney Resort Paris, using a concept painting of the park and footage taken entirely from Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
This package would become used and re-used time and again over the following years on Disney Videos in the UK, with several different cuts and endboard logos.

Ha, I remember my mum took me and my sister there in 92 the year it opened. It was the best thing ever for a ten year old. Good memories still.
What's interesting is that even though the footage is clearly Disneyland Paris, the first few seconds were reused for Disney World's resort TV segment for the Magic Kingdom for a few years
I remember this Advert on "Cinderella" (The 1992 UK VHS), but it broke and this time, I'm seeing it on You Tube and I like it.
It was featured on quite a few UK/Ireland Disney VHS releases at the time. Though with some variations in the music, most notably the use of 'When You Wish Upon a Star' would be used in a later version.
Well, that would be different.

He starred in "Captain EO", the 3D film especially created by Disney and Lucas for Disneyland. At that time it was playing at Tokyo Disneyland, too, and it was one of the attractions in Discoveryland at EuroDisneyland. It was then replaced in all parks by "Honey I Shrunk the Audience" ("MicroAdventure" at Tokyo Disneyland), but after Michael Jackson's death, to pay homage to him, Disney decided to bring the movie back in California, in Japan and in France. It's currently playing in all 3 places.

This video reminds me of reading old Dutch Donald Duck comics from the 90's at my grandma's house when I was a kid.
This brings back so many memories, used to love this when I was a kid

The difference between this and the earlier 1992 ad is that this one has different BGM and the early 1992 version has a variant of When You Wish Upon A Star.

This is one of the biggest amusement park bombs of all time!
That just isn’t true though. The park did suffer badly in its first years with visitor numbers far below expectations, but that was in part due to a Europe-wide recession at the time. The park began making an operating profit from 1995 onwards, and in the last year before Covid, the resort attracted 15 *million* visitors (10 million for Disneyland Park, 5 million for Studios Park) - the most of any theme park in Europe and rivalling the likes of Universal Studios Florida. It’s hardly a ‘bomb’ at all.
@@Jaxymannpicking out the few times things went well for them but overlooking all the years they struggled to just about make a profit during the early 2000s and then visitor numbers plummeted after the recession in 2008 and didn't pick back up until 2010/ 11.📈

Disney France just reused the same animation from the intro to Disney Dimanche just to cut cost. Who ever did it is awesome
Couldn't be more grateful for our European Disneyland Paris. Questionable if they had decided the same again nowadays.
Went annually to Florida. now with small kids, we head constantly to Paris. It's just an hour flight from Germany and the entire resort is so kids friendly due to it's walkable distances and yet it gives us the full experience we would otherwise miss due to the price hikes going to the parks overseas.
They are doing a really good job now in Paris and there seems more to come.

The year 1992 were Euro Disney Resort and Aladdin gets together between France and the United States became Very popular and one was the spectacular Animated film of all-time with a Song "A Whole New World" means it Starts from April 12th to November 25th 1992!

Matterhorn Matt I did. I’m guessing is that this was a pre or during construction ad that was eventually replaced with the similar ad that had actual footage of DLP in it.
It's in Paris because Paris is the most visited city in Europé and the World.
Disneyland Paris had just finished creation by this time according to Wikipedia, it was probably to announce that there was a new park to the world.
How come there's Star Wars in this commercial? Wasn't Lucasfilms acquired only in 2012?

I actually loved the name "EuroDisney" but I get why they changed it. For starters, to us in the Americas we see it as something posh or glamorous but in Europe "Euro" is associated with currency. Also, given that Tokyo Disney was not "AsiaDisney" or "OrientDisney" it makes sense they changed EuroDisney to Disneyland Paris because it helps if Disney ever wants to open another resort in Europe the same way they opened two more parks in Asia.

Not really, the park wasn't open yet, so they had to use footage from other parks to give that illusion that's what to be expected from the 'new' European park at the time.
What Disney related film was Michael Jackson in? I remember seeing this on old video cassettes back in the 90's but I never knew why he was there :/
