I agree that six of crows is hard to get into but once you get through like a 100 pages it starts getting really interesting and the romance subplot is to die for and I feel like you would really like it.
A lot of people say it takes about 100 pages! I’m definitely going to give it another try soon!
This makes me feel more okay about my physical tbr 😭 Buying books is just too satisfying & it’s addicting

I currently have 3 books on my tbr (I used to have 10) but my goal is to buy a new book only when I've finished the one I was reading. It's really hard, I know, but I think it could help me enjoy the books more and not feel pressured about finishing them! :)

I’ve bought 75 books this week cause of Black Friday an I literally had to go buy a new bookshelf 😭. I get it girl. What’s the point of a library if you’ve read them all ? Now you have options based on your mood. Lol love this !

Hi, Alexa. Don't feel bad about yourself. Please remember that buying books and reading them are 2 separate hobbies! :D I have 130 physical books on my TBR. 108 from way way back and 22 bought within 2023. And I'm still going to buy some, since someone got birthday money! Anyway I also have 209 e-books and 450 audio books waiting in line. And I don't have duplicates. Like physical and audiobook. I have either physical or e-book or audio. So in total I have 790 books on my TBR! It's like I'm going to live forever.

Girl you have some of my 5 star reads on your physical tbr!! The kiss quotient, yours truly, hothouse flower and kiss the sky are AMAZING reads!! Most of all you is also really good, it's a little cheesy but I love how Mia Sheridan's books have a deeper aspect and focuses on characters overcoming their traumas. The second and third book in a good girls guide to murder are also really good! I'd love to see a reading vlog on some of these books to see how you like them!! Maybe doing a "reading books on my physical tbr" series may help you knock some of these out!

The first 1-3 chapters of Six of Crows were a bit slow and I almost didn't continue it but now it's my favorite book so I highly recommend you give it another try. The characters are amazing, I've never loved any group of characters more than them!
this was like a cute and bittersweet reality check for me too :'p manifesting we all read our planned tbr soon and have a balance b/w them and the inevitable loop of us buying new books 🥰

I am currently reading the kingdom of the wicked series and i'm obsessed !!! The beginning is a bit slow but it picks up quickly. But if you are a mood reader, it's perfect for fall, it gives off spooky vibes with witches and princes of hell :)

you have to read A Thousand boy kisses!!! one of my favorite books ever and 5 star read!!! it's so pretty and sad (you'll cry a LOT) but totally worth it 💗
I’ve always felt guilty and pressure in have a physical tbr, so much so that I wouldn’t even buy a book until I’d read half of it out of a library book before buying my own copy. I think embracing the idea that I am a reader and this is a hobby is allowing me to be a bit more flexible. I currently have 7 books on my tbr x

You should make a spinning wheel with all the titles of your book en then spin it and read that book. That’s what I do when I don’t really know what to read next.
so i own a total of 90 books, i have 11 books that i bought that are part of a series that i was not aware of at the time of purchase, so i have put them away separately until i finish the rest of my other books that are a complete set or standalone. since i’m not counting the 11 partial series books, i have a physical TBR of 79 books and i have already read 34 this year and have 45 more to go. i’m currently on a book buying ban unless i get some books gifted at christmas. my goal is to read 100 books this year, but i’ll be happy with 60 to complete a book reading tracker that i printed at the beginning of the year since it only has room for 60 books.
The Way I Used to Be is one of my ultime favorites!! I read it first in high school and I always read it again. Brings me to tears and Amber Smith does a really good job curating Eden’s character. I would love to hear your perspective on it
A Good Girl Guide to Murder series is really good. Six of Crows is one of my favorite fantasy series, A Thousand Boy Kisses I cried almost through the whole book but its so good. I read Yours Truly and Part of Your World omg they are so cute. The Kiss Quotient is also a very cute book. Things We Hide From The Light omg I love love love.

you HAVE to read A Winter’s Promise whenever it starts getting colder out for you!! it’s a little slow at first since the author is doing a lot of world building and explaining the magic system, but it’s SO worth it - easily became one of my 5 star reads when i read it a year or two ago!!

The AGGGTM series is SOO worth it i read the entire trilogy in 3 days! and thats coming from a slow reader. Kill joy is such an easy read tooooo!!!
Thus is such a curated selection. Like any season u have a book picked out which u can go through. And the choices were stunning. I cannot wait for u to read The Wall of Winnipeg and Me. I read it last year and it became one of my favourites. Its such a comforting book with almost no drama.
I’m currently reading love theoretically and I haven’t finished it yet but honestly I love the characters and I just think it’s so fun in the beginning you don’t understand half of what they’re saying because they talk using Sciency words but after that it gets pretty good❤❤

I love that I’m not the only one that has a huge TBR lol I currently have 148 on my TBR. We live in a town where we have one spot to buy them from and they are normally around $12-$16 but sell out quick and take agers to restock so when they come in I get them lol

I'm looking at 100 books I need to read and then my list of books on hold from two libraries add 23 more🤭🤭🤭 I too I'm not buying any more books this year, minus the pre order books I've already placed oops. 3rd Crescent City, Second Fourth Wing bc I want those fancy pages duh and the new covers of the Addicted series..but other then those I need to stop shopping and read what I have. I'm also going to skip my BOTM till I read the books I have..maybe by December I can treat myself 😭😭😭 good luck everyone with the same problem ✌️
