I feel like the question should be, why does anyone have to suffer for beauty? I’m a woman who prioritizes comfort over beauty and I wish it was allowed without being seen as “lazy”. We can wear no makeup and still have beauty (and wear as much as we want if we choose too as well, no hate to women that like to glam themselves up at all)

It is crazy the pain people go through for red carpets with fashion. I think that you can look good and don’t have to be in agony whilst doing so it is crazy. The things that celebs have to g through to get the perfect picture is insane. The fact she said at 14 she was in agony and she needed to take her shoes off and was told she couldn’t is crazy to me she was 14 and he admits they are the most painful shoes to wear. I think being in nice comfortable shoes should be a thing they can still look cute but when you take them off your feet don’t feel like a swollen throbbing mess would be a good thing.

Exactly. Forcing your client into a pair of painful yet replaceable stilettos really seems pointless to me. Besides shoes are the finishing touch and arguably the most important part of a look. So many times when I see a zendaya look I can see so many potential options that compliment way better than a basic pair of so Kate. To me it kinda shows a lack of effort in creativity, which also shows in a lot of her recent looks. Are they still close to the theme? Sure. But they also fell into their styling comfort zone lowkey. On the other hand, Anya and Hunter’s red carpet look wows me almost everytime since they stopped working w law… anyways it’s just my personal opinion 😅

I’m looking at it as she went to him so he could dress her and make her into a movie star, and apart of creating that image was wearing those shoes . She seems like she has a good support system so I’m sure that wouldn’t have been bullied into doing anything she didn’t want .

@impopquiz I grew up in church where I was wearing heels ALL THE TIME. Like 5 days a week (it was basically a cult) and I still have issues with my lower back and my anterior pelvic tilt because I was too young to be in such high heels. Your body is still in the midst of developing at those ages.

Its the same as ladies who go to etiquette school and learn to walk with a book on their heads, learn how to sit in a skirt etc. Open your mind, she was 14 years old and 5ft 6", already the height of a woman, so it was the right time to start that training so she maintained control over her sprouting limbs. She's now 5'10"... And he has always dressed her in age appropriate clothing. Young ballroom dancers & pageant queens wear heals from a very young age. I started wearing wedges at 12 then heals at 16, and I was just a regular kid who didn't have to walk a red carpet
If a shoe is uncomfortable and hurts that’s is your body telling you something is wrong and needs to be corrected. Your back hurts, you stretch it out. Your feet hurt because of shoes, you take them off. This man told a minor to keep wearing the shoes that hurt her so much in the beginning for fashion and beauty’s sake not knowing the actual extremity’s it would take on her feet long term. Chances are she wears “so Kate’s” now because her feet have an unnatural arch in them and they’re permanently damaged as she was forced to wear them while going through puberty. Now she’s probably going to need to wear those heels or heels with those specific arch for the majority of her life. This is no better than ancient chinas foot binding…and he’s proud of it. But he took a CHILDS foot, forced them into unnatural positions that we know do and can cause long term problems and told her to do that every day while she's still growing. I got used to them so much, that wearing running shoes felt awkward, rather than comfortable. I stopped wearing them at about 20 years or age. It's been 14 years now, since i'm wearing comfortable shoes. Those 6 years effed my feet and my back. Heels are not worth it.

When you wear heels all day, your calves begin to shrink and you actually lose the ability to walk without them because regular shoes feel like they make the calves stretch. This is actually quite bad for her hips and back. I wish they cared more about the lingering long term issues she will face

Heels, especially ones that are that extreme, do have a physical effect on the feet and calf muscles long term if you wear them for extended periods of time. It can even lead to shortening of the Achilles tendon.
It seems ok now for Zendayas feet. But trust me when i tell you there will be a price to pay as she gets older. It will be brutal... Its not worth it... But if you know you know. And ignorance is really bliss.

If a shoe is uncomfortable and hurts that’s is your body telling you something is wrong and needs to be corrected. Your back hurts, you stretch it out. Your feet hurt because of shoes, you take them off. This man told a minor to keep wearing the shoes that hurt her so much in the beginning for fashion and beauty’s sake not knowing the actual extremity’s it would take on her feet long term. Chances are she wears “so Kate’s” now because her feet have an unnatural arch in them and they’re permanently damaged as she was forced to wear them while going through puberty. Now she’s probably going to need to wear those heels or heels with those specific arch for the majority of her life. This is no better than ancient chinas foot binding…and he’s proud of it. Shameful 🤦♀️

She probably already has bunions. I started wearing high heels in middle school. That's early 2000's fashion in Russia for you. I got used to them so much, that wearing running shoes felt awkward, rather than comfortable. I stopped wearing them at about 20 years or age. It's been 14 years now, since i'm wearing comfortable shoes. Those 6 years effed my feet and my back. Heels are not worth it.

When you wear heels all day, your calves begin to shrink and you actually lose the ability to walk without them because regular shoes feel like they make the calves stretch. This is actually quite bad for her hips and back. I wish they cared more about the lingering long term issues she will face

Just like, let her wear a less painful shoe? She’s a dancer, and wearing those is going to do some damage to her feet and legs long term. Please don’t come for me on this; she looks amazing. Heels, especially ones that are that extreme, do have a physical effect on the feet and calf muscles long term if you wear them for extended periods of time. It can even lead to shortening of the Achilles tendon.

She wanted to wear heels, So Kate's are very difficult, so mastering them mean she could wear anything on her feet. Her in pain and falling is because her feet weren't used to heels. Every student in their first day of wearing heels falls and is in pain, I've been through it too. But you learn and get better.
Zendaya today looks up to him and is very close to him. He dresses her and the two collab together for her outfits. So, before you start going off on the dude that trained her, think about what SHE wanted.

Honestly I can kind of understand the importance of training your feet to be in painful shoes especially when youre on a Red Carpet, posing for pictures and you don't know how long you'll have to stand in them the last thing you wanna worry about is being uncomfortable or your feet hurting.
