'Ello Colonel, always good to fight alongside your lads, I do hope we don't end up being betrayed in a large scale assault on US elements on Stratis as they prepare to withdraw from the island, causing heavy casualties and forcing any remaining forces into hiding!
This video is excellent, Vanilla ARMA 3 doesn't get enough attention, lore-wise. I'd like if you make more videos like this, especially if it's a CSAT one.
This was really cool! Arma 3 was my first of the series and from what I gather it was the first to have a more cohesive story. I've seen some incredible mods put together by the community (the CSAT IFV mission comes to mind) and this really adds more, I hope you plan on doing more!
man... I've been watching some ArmA 3 content for a long time... but up until quiet recent I didn't even knew about the whole campaign aspect. Honestly, I think the whole in game lore situation deserves way more notice. I never seen multiple people doing a coop of the in game campaign (I just assume you could, I never played Arma myself). Nice work with this video man
Ok, this is amazing work, Arma 3 universe is really interesting but videos like that are so rare so thank you Also I like how this video is made by Altis and Stratis ministry of defence
Okay I have a dumbass question, I play A3 but pretty casually so I don't know: Did you set all of this up yourself, or do enemy NPCs actually have their own tasks and missions they run around doing even if the player isn't involved? If so that's incredibly brilliant but I doubt it lol
It’s scripted, using the editor. There are some mods that can automate ai behaviour for dynamic missions and stuff, but not to this extent. Not a dumb question, appreciate the comment!
Some constructive criticism, i would have had a lower angle on the last scene where the vehicle drives over the mine, having the camera really low (ground level, almost like the one you did a few shots before) with mine in fore ground, in focus, and the vehicle approaching in the back ground, out of focus/blurred. This will create a sense of dread as we know what they dont know then just before vehicle explodes id move the cam way back but zoomed in tight on vehicle (so you can see the occupant's faces) and boom explosion...some camera shake, add some sound like falling derby (metal and ground sounds) ... that would make that scene much more impactfull. Arma's splendid cam works great for big lens zoom effect (NUM+). PM me if you would like more tips and trick id be glad to help and might be able to show you a thing or two if you want sound effect example ... ua-cam.com/video/EdVUbyW0C1g/v-deo.html
Depends where, if you are just posting the link feel free to, if you are reuploading it somewhere make sure you give credit, and don't reupload it on youtube.
Well, mods can be kinda f*cked up in any game, since they're made for free, their quality is commonly worse than the initial game itself, this applies to everything, not just Arma. Very few support your opinion though, I bet, but I kind of am among those few. Now of course mods can add cool stuff, but it can break the meta in too many different ways. Say, you add a weapon. You now need to more or less conform to tons of values vanilla weapons use, so that your pack of 9 mm handguns isn't stronger than standard 9 mm, flipping the balance upside down. I for one, really hate when a mod object is made just to completely delete the purpose of using anything else than it. Secondarily, it can obviously be annoying if the object doesn't strictly follow the art style of the game.
Keep on making more stuff like this, I like me some vanilla Arma 3 lore.
Will do!
I love it salute to my soldiers ✋
Thank you for commenting Colonel, sir!

Funny how the wounded one was the one who got lucky.
The others died to the mine

These lore videos are sick! Defs need more.
Maybe you could do one about the British army on Altis/Stratis?
The last thing I expected was AAF propaganda… bravo!
top tier
This is absolutely great, fantastic work
Good job man, great start and like you said its good practice.
Down with the AAF I fought as a loyalist and have seen what they have done to the people of my town.
This is awesome
WE WANT MORE LORE
More is coming, I just haven't had much time for editing lately.

AAF for life
After 13,000 in arma 3, I love seeing this content on YT
could you make a csat version please?
Just discovering your channel, this is good work. Subscribed!!
What’s the song in the beginning of the video?
It's called "Conquistador", I believe it plays at the start of the campaign.

uhhhhhh kino???
Please do a pve campaign about playing as the AAF against insurgent forces.
could you make more AAF short stories Please?
Fun stuff
Odd you picked the same guy I always kit out to the max when making missions.
Does anyone know of vanilla arma 3 units?
A murder most foul ! A sad day draws upon Altis once again another son is lost ! 😭
The overall morale and discipline of the AAF forces is extremely low, many soldiers are defecting over to the FIA or deserting.
I'll never get how you make these videos...
10/10
