Joe Phillips (You Me At Six) Talks Paramore, Touring On A MegaBus and Pop Punk!

I met Joe Phillips from You Me At Six at college back in 2007 (where Max Helyer and Chris Miller also went). We get nostalgic and talk about pop punk / post hardcore music in the 2000s and what playing in a local band from Weybridge United Kingdom was like. We also talk about how we would tour, how he got on to playing big gigs with Paramore and Saosin... plus how You Me At Six got so big. Myspace certainly helped, but it was their hard work, amazing songwriting, catchy hooks and the talent of the band that really got them to be such a huge rock band. It also helped that they were good looking guys who knew how to market themselves.
