the reason your aluminum broke is because it is 6061 t6 which is hardened. you want 5052 if you plan on bending it will bend easier plus not crack. looks awesome
Just reduce it to a nice consistency so you still have good coverage. That epoxy is great I use it every day as a sealer before I base. I Own a bodyshop all the painting is done by me and whatever needs to be done in my shop.
Yes use the same reducer for base. I like to use slow or medium.I'm from south texas so most of the time it works great slow and medium when temps are hot which is always lol. Using reducer will let it flow out smooth and reduce orange peel in your paint the most I do is de nib and send with a factory finish on its way without having to cut and buff doing so saves time and labor.
@@ThePaintPaperHustle from my experience accelerators causes a lot of die back issues and and having an orange peal affect. Try not using acclerator and use a fast reducer instead see if that helps out or you can mix 50/50 % medium and fast reduced together and see if it helps you out.
Looks like a professional wing build. Really looks great! Just subbed, binge watching to get caught up lol, next up is the powder coating video, been wondering about that harbor freight unit. Thanks for taking the time to share all this information! Much appreciated!
Let me know if you have any questions. Just follow my videos and I’m sure you can do it man. I posted like 3 videos on different steps on making the wing to help everyone. Did you watch the others?

Looks damn good I guess you changed ur mind on doing scallops at rear of wing?
Yes I never went back and changed that piece out. Maybe one day
Could it be chemiczl treated and wrap it? And rivets seem a lot lighter than a couple of pounds of bolts ,but they look way better
Yea I guess it could. And I just like the bolts better than rivets. Could also use aluminum bolts if someone wanted to.
@@ThePaintPaperHustle Going to wrap mine with carbon, can't afford the real thing
That will look amazing
@@ThePaintPaperHustle That's why I was asking about wrapping bare aluminum. Or is there a way to seal it? And the edges could be an issue?
