Tubs are pretty rare in RV's, mostly because of the size of the water heater and the holding tanks. You'd run out of hot water pretty quick filling it and then fill your grey tank draining it!
Have watched this video 3 times! My wife and I are going full time in a about 5-6 months. This is currently in our top 3 picks to order. The other 2 are the Solitude 382-WB-R and the Momentum 376THS. We LOVE the amount of basement storage in the 382 and the pullout tray!!! If that rig had better rear basement storage that would easily seal the deal. Love the details of it!!!
Thanks for watching Mike! We’re glad the video is helping you narrow your search. DRV is certainly one of the highest quality full time RV’s on the market. It’s worth pointing out that DRV has a larger more stable frame and thicker sidewalls with more insulation when compared to the other two in your list.
You'll regret it, I lived in an rv for 9 years and it was horrible, I had to learn the hard way why it's called a vehicle, hence the axles, now I live rent free in a house that I bought for $30,000 and the rv is for camping only
@@frankperry1543 We got a Luxe 47FB toyhauler. Love the quality, post delivery experience, and the folks at Luxe!!! Had some minor issues that were all taken care of expeditiously by Luxe no charge. Would highly recommend a Luxe for the aforementioned things and then some.
@@k-mparker The one in this video has long since sold and is somewhere out there on the road! It had an MSRP of $178,470 and a final sale price (all discounts and rebates included) of $136k
@@Southern_RV Thanx 4 the prompt reply and detailed information!!! Much appreciated!!! My wife and I are going to go full time here inside of a year and we don’t want 2 break the bank, but won’t something durable and reliable. We are looking hard at the GD 382-WB-R.
I sure hope they read the reviews. First of all you need to put in a pantry in the kitchen unless I missed it. Second you should put vessel sinks in the bathroom because you gain more storage underneath. And they're much classier looking!
The furniture is freestanding (not attached to the RV), so it could easily be pulled and replaced. A normal office desk could be put there or if you really wanted to fill the space you could commission a built-in.
I have been talking with Ariel at the dealership. She is an awesome sales rep!!! She has been very helpful and informative assisting us with trying to get the rig that fits us the best. Please let her know that! Thanx!
Hi Debbie, thanks for watching. We don't currently have any 2021 models exactly like the one in the video, but we do have a handful of new 2023 and 2022 models to look at and price out on our site. Here is the link: www.southernrv.com/default.asp?page=xAllInventory&pg=1&customSearch=drv
im excited about this unit except!I wish it was wireless digital controlled and the command panel and could be operated from your phone. I looking to buy this off season a new full time unit. I have a 2012 39 Bighorn i will sell or trade. may have to visit.
Hi Dean, thanks for watching! We're not sure what DRV has planned for the future, but app integrated control panels are becoming more and more common! Be sure to check back in as the 2022 models start to arrive!
This is a great interior and floor plan. In the small bath .... get rid of the W/D and make that a dry bath. In the master closet, move the useless chest of drawers and put the W/D in the closet.
Hi Vickie, thanks for watching! This RV had an MSRP of $178,470. It sold a few months back at close to $137k (before any additions, tax, tag and title).
Really . . . carpets in the slides? Still do not offer flat floor slides like Prevost and Newell use. No full body paint (slides are not painted to match on sides)? No washer and dryer? You using multiplex? I would expect a Crestron type unit in a full time rig. No automatic blinds? Tires are puny. No tankless water heater . . . really? Hope your flagship unit address these issues. I guess that is why I choose a diesel pusher over a fifth wheel. Once you own a Prevost, or Newell, you will not look at any RV the same. I get the price is out of scope for most, but I got my used Newell for under 500k. I am sure this is a lot cheaper though. When you are full-timing, the coach needs to be residential level. If you are wanting a full time fifth wheel, I look at SpaceCraft, New Horizons, and Luxe.
My random notes: This is definitely fulltimers friendly :-) We do NOT spend all our time outside at a campfire. We like to spend time inside our HOME. We like that this unit allows people to face one another inside (Bible Studies, fellowship) Note: our Berkey is 14" high. Some manufacturers do consider a coffee area, but we also need a clearance for our water. >I don't think I can memtally handle someone leaving the fridge door open long enough to use the water dispenser in there. *yikes*
Hi Matt, thanks for watching! The closet walls are Cedar wood. Cedar is often used in furniture construction and left unsealed because of its natural aromatic properties and its ability to repel insects.
Beautiful unit. I wish more RV's had a combo shower/bathtub for those who love to soak in a nice tub.

That is exactly what grabbed my attention. You can contain the humidity in one room. DUH! No brainer! 🙂
I like it, I like it, I really like this unit. I want one
Thanks for watching Stephen!

It's been a year now. Which unit did you choose, and how is it working out?

Gorgeous…, love the Irish cream color!!
We think so too!
Love it all! Would give some of living room space up for a mid-bunk private space for a 15 year old, and then it’s perfect!!
DRV used to build a floorplan called the Cumberland that was very close to what you are describing. Maybe they'll bring it back one day!
No....the Cumberland didn't have a rear kitchen though.
Purdeeeee!!! Only thing I would change would be the handles. The gold looks dated, the black option would be a better look.
Thanks for watching Mike!! People are super divided about the gold. Luckily cabinet hardware is an easy makeover that can be done after the purchase.
@@Southern_RV Your welcome! Whats the sales price on that rig?

Thanks for a very impressive review and very informative. It makes you proud to own a DRV

Why arn't the recliners across from the tv?🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
This is so nice, i loved
I love everything about it
Watched it 4 times now. Can you take out one of the couches in either slide out and pit a desk with drawers on each side?

@@Southern_RV Can this be done at the factory, or at the dealership?

Furniture swaps would have to be done either by owner or at the dealership. Ariel is certainly a go-getter, glad she's been helpful in your search!
Beautiful.
We think so to Lois!
Very nice review….in talking about the suspension there was no mention in the type of bearings/hubs. Curious as to type they use.
DRV's website refers to the hubs as: Commercial Grade E-Z Lube® Hubs.
What's the price on these please

Put a fiberglass roof instead of old style rubber roof .
Hi John, this is an option! The same model is available as a "Elite Suite" instead of a "Mobile Suite" and the Elite has a fiberglass roof and skirts!

Price???

Gold furnishings are back?? OMG.
Some folks love it, some have a more visceral reaction! At least cabinet handles are the easiest aftermarket remodel you can do to your camper.

It’s not supposed to be painted 🤦♀️
