Correction: I forgot one important safe jump! In the corner after a grounded H Knuckle, you can just jump forward and it's gonna be a safe jump. No frame kill needed.

Damn, do pro players remember and utilize all of that in real fight? Although I've reached master rank, I feel I'm closer to rookie than top players are to me.
@@TestSubject173 Nah they don‘t. You won’t see them doing half of the stuff you see in this video. But the more time passes, the more of this stuff they‘ll memorize. It just takes experience.
But right now this video just helps to see what Luke can do when he‘s optimized.
@@jeako777 You didn't deny the second statement, so it must be true...
@@TestSubject173 Hey I don‘t know about you but I‘m closer to rookie too lmao
@@jeako777 I wonder if you have plans for a guide on how to apply pressure. I feel like I rely too much on checking DR and whiff punish, if my opponents don't throw too many unsafe moves, my offensive attempt often ends up self-defeating.
As a new SF and Luke player, your channel is a gem. Much appreciated brother.
Best oki guide for Luke I’ve seen. Thank you!
Jeako you continue to amaze with the luke knowledge drops, you keep sf6 fun for us. Thanks for your dedication!
Hey Jeako! Thanks so much for this useful guide! I recently discovered a meaty set up after a sweep on my channel that also might be useful for us Luke mains.
I know you have made the spreadsheet for awhile now. But i've only checked it out. You really put in alot of effort into luke. Thank you very much!
Thank you! Part of the reason I made that spreadsheet is that I wanted to learn how to use Excel a little bit.
yo thank you for these videos, when i first started watching i wasnt as in tune with the mechanics but now that i am less trash than i was before i have been implementing these techs ... im glad you keep them so short and straight to the point!
Wasn't aware projectiles could beat JPs OD parry, many thanks for these videos Jeako!
best luke content on youtube right now. also oro theme is goated
Yeah that theme is a banger
What a great vid this is man. So much help !
Let’s go Luke boys, the goofiest silliest character in the game who never misses forearm day
The continued luke work is appreciated!
Woah! Another gigachad guide!
Thanks, this is gold🎉
JEAKO HAS DONE IT AGAIN 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Nah Jeako the goat fr fr
This is a great video, thank you for making this.
this is something ive never seen before nice
I hate you for exposing all our magic spells.
Great video 10/10.
Best of the best ❤
Thank you 😭😭😭😭
My comment got disappeared for some reason, I was going to say
at 2:11 I would do 2MK instead and use 2MK for alot of frame kill situations. This is to setup meaty throw, which is probably the most important framekills to remember. You can do it from
5MP TC to completion
214LP
214LP perfect 214HP
air combos that end in run overhead (eg. 5HP (punish counter) LP perfect DR 2HP MP perfect, run overhead, then 2MK.
214LP perfect j.MP 214P charge, my go to. Great oki
This is because 2MK actually creates a bit of distance you want, to make it super easy to shimmy. They would need to do a super fast throw, I'm talking like 2 or 3f, which is hard and can be beaten. Against characters with farther throw range, you do want to be a bit more careful but still works on them.
Also, meaty HP sandblast is crazy good when they're burned out. I was going to make a vid about it, but you can go ahead if you want, basically +2 on block, beats lvl1s, can combo on CH, starts a lot of burnout pressure. There's a lot of framekills including some in your vid, I often just manually time it.
Hey sorry I only saw this comment now! It got held for review for some reason. You can make the meaty sandblast video if you like! I don't plan on doing it. And I didn't think about 2MK creating distance, now I seriously have to consider that option, thank you!
@@jeako777 yea it creates a little distance perfect for optimal shimmy lol.
❤❤❤
Can we get an update video for Luke in season 2?
Poor JP,he has been beaten for 3 mins
what would be the best combination on the corner. When the enemy is burnout, keep the pressure on.
The meaty st HK setups in this video are great vs burnout! You can continue your pressure afterwards.
For general pressure: st HP canceled into H sandblast or H charged knuckle is great. Poking with st HK is strong too
does the charged heavy knuckle corner safejump not work anymore after c.mp's recover was extended in the patch?
You can use s.lp now, it got buffed so it sets up a safe jump
If you hit the EX fireball close to the opponent, would that also be a safe jump?
Almost. It would be a "fake" safe jump like that one safe jump I showed in this video. A real safe jump requires you to be +42, but EX fireball is only +41. Still good tho, and most players will just assume that you're doing a real safe jump.
How come the od dp one doesnt work for me all the time? Does character size affect it
Hmm that's weird, it always works for me when I got for it. Character size shouldn't matter, works the same vs Lily and Marisa for example. Are you sure you're hitting the opponent while they're grounded? Also it won't work if you do the dunk followup or if your OD DP is really spaced.
@@jeako777 It was cause it was spaced out just tested it. Thanks
Can you do a video on his basic oki mix? You've done specific stuff like safejump setups or perfect meaty setups but not a video explaining his basic mix for his most common knockdowns. So like what I do off all my corner special move enders, or what I do off drive rush oki frrom AA dp or special ender. Something similar in vibe to the neutral video that keeps it relevant for a beginner
I think this is the video you're looking for: ua-cam.com/video/MkmBFq5Zd0A/v-deo.htmlsi=mVLhYEORaTKGOmaN
@@jeako777 @jeako777 That video is closer to what I want but it doesn't answer a good few of my questions. Like doesn't he have high low drive oki mix? you say to do DR 6HP after L and H uncharged knuckles and that's it. Do I not need any high low there or should i just leave it as strike throw? With DP you say to how to shimmy but not what strike to do, is it 6HP after DR as well or is it different from that? What about after the MP target combo? DR 6HP or something else? Does the H knuckle oki work off the LP target combo or does the juggle hit make it different?
@@Awuga So in that video I mentioned that you should mainly use DR 6HP as your standard DR meaty option. That includes the knockdown after AA DP.
In this video you can see multiple auto-timed DR overhead setups. If you want to go low instead, then just do DR 2LK.
In general after L/H Knuckle or Tackle or MP target combo, you can always do a DR overhead or DR 2LK, but you may need to manually time the overhead for some of these knockdowns. Just don't rely on this mixup too much because the overhead is reactable. If you notice that your opponent is reacting to your overhead properly, you either wanna try going low next time or just switch to your standard strike/throw mixup with DR 6HP/throw/shimmy.
DR overhead will always combo into 2MP. A trade will allow you to combo into 2HP. And in one specific setup in this video, you can also combo into 2HP instead of 2MP. From DR 2LK, you just wanna do the usual 2LK, 2LP xx special combo.
H Knuckle oki does indeed change after the LP target combo or 6HP target combo. None of the setups for H Knuckle in this video work for that specific knockdown. But you can still do a manually timed DR high low mixup after that knockdown (or the usual DR 6HP).
Hopefully this clears things up. Let me know if you have questions still!
@@jeako777 thanks, that helps a lot! Just one curiousity though, how come you don't meaty with DR 2MP, it's much more plus than 6HP (can press a second 2mp for more plus frames) and still combos into 2HP for knuckle launches; is it just that it's hard to time?
@@Awuga Great question, you can use DR 2MP too if you like. I personally don't like it because it's kinda hard to reliably throw the opponent afterwards. Like if they walk back, then throw won't reach, so you'll have to use 2MK to catch their back walk. It's kinda awkward. I'd rather be +1, but in throw range. Just my personal preference.
Why do the throws whiff in the vid?
They won't whiff if the opponent doesn't backdash. I just made the opponent backdash in this video to show that your throw is safe in case they backdash.
Normally, your throw will get punished most of the time if the opponent backdashes and then do their fastest attack (4 frames). But these throws are timed so that they can't get punished by backdash. You still lose your turn, but at least you don't get punished.
@@jeako777 Thanks
