I watched Frosty with Ben months ago do a fluke technique on schooling fish. I applied same technique on lake in va with shad and caught twice as many fish than I normally do without live scope. I think if Tyler would have thrown a Fluke in the areas where they were blowing up he would have beaten Frosty! Love both channels! In my my mind Tyler is my favorite tuber for instructional vids! With that being said. Lol Loved this challenge! Tight lines everyone!
I fish Glenville a lot myself and if you’re gonna fish shallow you gotta go fish inside the waterfalls, especially both sides of the bank leading up to the waterfall at the top of the lake
I just started fishing a wacky rig the past 2 trips and have caught more bass per trip than usual no giants but last trip they were all scoreable fish.
Is there any reason you don’t go for any of the big follower fish? It seemed like whatever you caught first was it before moving on. With a whacky worm you should be able to pull every fish under a dock back to back pretty easily.
Hey I have been watching your videos forever and they have helped me a ton, I really like the video on all lines of fluorocarbon line. Do you think you could also do a video just like that on monofilament and we can see if one if truly much better than the other. Thanks!
Some comments make mention old skool fishing is dead due to ffs! As encouragement to my anglers w/o ffs who still love to do it, "WIN, it's your day, its yo MuthaFuckin DAY!"....✊🏾✨️✨️✨️🏆
Man, you're retrieve is so fast, you look paniced. There doesn't appear to be any obstacles to cause a snag. You're never getting close to bottom, no weight wacky rig.
But we found out the difference between catching and fishing fish today with these two videos. If you’re going to win, you better be scoping. Old school fishing is done for after watching these two videos. Thanks for the same lake comparison guys. Thanks.
I have live sonar on my boat as well but chose not to use it. Austin’s experience and knowledge of the fishery is what led him to victory. Austin can also go down the bank with the best of them old school fishing and catch them
Ah yes because the almighty livescope is definitely the reason he lost, and it totally couldn’t be the fact Frostin’ has fished and guided on this lake for years. Makes total sense…….
Bruh why are you casting with the wrong hand. And why do so many people do that. It is 100% the absolute incorrect way to cast. Either change the arm you cast with or switch to a left handed reel. Having to switch your rod back and forth in between every cast just because you don’t know how to cast with the correct hand, is ridiculous. For example, that is equivalent to pushing mongo on a skateboard if you know anything about skating. It’s just going to hinder you, and makes you look extremely amateur.
I would say it's the norm to cast right handed and use a right hand retrieve reel. Def doesn't make him look amateur, but you're not wrong that it's not the most efficient way to cast and retrieve IMO.
@@kayplainsdrifter136that doesn’t make sense literally at all. Like watch him use his spin reel.. he’s casting correctly, so why not just translate that same thing to the baitcaster?? It actually pisses me off. And I don’t see why in the hell that would be the norm. But I do see EVERYONE DOING IT!? I am beyond confused as to why that even became a thing in the first place. It’s literally straight up common sense.
@joshbarton4373 Left handed retrieve is starting to become a little more normalized. BFS is probably helping with that some. Unfortunately, it's harder to find LH retrieve reels in the US since RH tends to sell more.
So much fun! When and where is round 2 🙌🏽🇺🇸!
Lets do it!

Dude! That’s awesome! Glad that little presentation/ technique changed helped 👊🏽
I was thinking the same thing as I watched Ty's video. Of course, we had hindsight.
Great video! Beautiful lake! Would love to see more of these 'on the water' ones. Will definitely look up Austin, if I get out there.
Dude, get some o-rings LOL
Now if you used the vmc rings you would’ve only used 1 senko for all those fish! 😂 love the video!

@@AidanEllege-rj6dt I did that at all those waterfalls. Water was down and it seemed like they weren’t on the bank in those areas
Where's the whitecaps, evertime I go fishing, it's 2 footers.😂😂
Any time the spinning combo comes out I'm pumped.
Tyler, can you make a video on bass tournaments and how they work, please?
I just started fishing a wacky rig the past 2 trips and have caught more bass per trip than usual no giants but last trip they were all scoreable fish.
Whose swim bait were you fishing?
What model Ark spinning reel are you using? Do u like it?
What spinning reel you use for lighter rigs like wacky and minnow/jigs? thanks!
Weightless caffeine shad excellent for skipping docks
Tyler, what swimbait was that? Thank you!
LOL, yes, i agree about the wacky rig, but this year, I've tried other lures, too.
What type of scale do you use?
Thanks Tyler, i really enjoyed that.
Thanks for watching!
That looked like a Riser you threw at the busting fish. Hard to put your hands on, but they can really catch them on the right day.
One of my favorite baits of all time
Great video. Do you use mono or braid or both?
Braid to fluoro on my spinning rod

which lake
You mentioned everything else but the fish scale you are using and where can I get one?😊
It’s a rapala scale!
rapala digital tournament scale
Is that a rising son swimbait ?
You should make a how to skip like a pro like you did with the baitcaster
I can tell you the Bassmaster College Championship just got won on a wacky rig
U should use a band on your wacky rigs you won’t loose em them on every fish 🎣 caught
Well thats what every local throws so maybe not.
New lake, not bad!
Could have been worse. Could have been better
I am in NC. What lake is that?
Lake Glenville
Great video I liked it it just go's to show anyone can have bad day but it could have worse and not catch any fish thank you for
100% it’s always fun to see a new lake though
broo if your not beating Fontanas bank than your fishing in 150ft 🤣
Definitely should have came back further out from that tree with the bass and threw some kind of rubber down yonder
Yup I did that a few times.

I just started the video but no way you beat him on his home terf. These mountain lakes are tough in the hot months. Good luck though
They were definitely differ t than I had ever seen
Enjoyed the video and the lake, but could have done without the music 😊
I just watched his content. And the reason why you got spanked is because he used forward facing sonar. So I don't think that was a fair competition.
Yeah not the fact that I’ve guided there for 11 years and they were just sitting on stuff I side scanned 11 years ago 😂😂😂

The Ikon spanks his boats ass everyday no matter what body of water
Why is finishing a wacky rig under docks the last thing you want to do?

He’s catching fish and can cast that way he had some nice casts right under the docks he was aiming for if it ain’t broke don’t fix it
