@@tombprospectorvulcan6440 Why did Iji conclude that he had made a misjudgement? Seeing how Blaidd attacked me, I don't get how locking him away was unwarranted.
@@Blunkfist thats because he was a shadow given by the 2 fingers the two fingers and they could control him to kill ranni so iji locked him up because then he could cause no harm but also him ranni and blaid had been friends since childhood so its not like iji could bring himself to kill him head entrapped in the evergaol. I remember after I spoke to Iji about Blaidd's death, I saved and quit and went to sleep. Next day I login, I spawned right at the Grace and see Iji on Fire. Felt so bad.
Y’all are missing one very crucial detail here, the flame which covers Ijis body is the black and white flame of the Godskin, not the black and red flame of the knives, something tells me the assassins around him died trying to protect him, maybe the Godskins caught wind of what was happening around Caria manor, after all, there are multiple godskins close by, one up in volcano manor with a blackflame monk and another over on the bridge in the divine tower of liurnia, I think they where trying to track down Ranni. Edit: Y’all wanna know why? Two reasons, first off, Ranni is a demigod and the Godskins whole religion revolves around hunting the divine and those who serve them. Secondly, and perhaps just as importantly, Ranni stole a fragment of the ruin of death did she not? the power the Godskins once held before maliketh sealed it away, so perhaps they where trying to take back the rune of death to give themselves its power once more.
The one outside the Tower of Liurnia is super interesting, because it's right next to Ranni's corpse. Her body also wears jewellery that's very similar to the Godskin's.
Melina happened, the gloam eyed queen creator of the godskin & hidden child of Marika. The only empyrean given the rune of death and taken away by Maliketh & Radagons armies, Melina's body that we see in the game is a puppet shell similar to Ranni's (hence her body covered in burn marks and she has very little power because her power Destined Death is currently sealed away) but also because she was also the snow witch that taught young Ranni the magic she based her own puppet body on. They're both connected by the Rune of Death & Destined Death. We find out Melina is the gloam eyed queen via the frenzy flame ending, it's also why both Melina & Ranni share the blue sparkly fade out animations when they leave you during grace points. And the last champion that came close to obtaining the Elden Lord title was Vyke, the man who lost his mind to madness and the 3 fingers who wish to undue all that the 2 fingers have created which would throw a whole wrench in Melina's plans which is why she hunts you down should you choose that ending. We only saw her puppet body burn when she lights the tree aflame, proven by Iji's death here by the blackflames..
You make an extremely valid point and i like your theory. However the only thing that doesn't make sense to me is about the black knife assassins working with iji. Also you can hear Ranni say for you to tell Iji and Blaidd that she loves them. This probably might be saying that she knows the consequence of her goal is going have them sacrificed in doing so.
She’s such a Machiavellian character, using others (to their mortal peril) in order to achieve her goals. We see this by her involvement in stealing part of the rune of death to kill Godwyn & to shed her empyrean form. Initially I quite liked her, but now I can’t stand her.

|SPOILERS| Elden Ring is quite sad. When you first meet the NPCs they’re mostly all friendly and quite alive. But as time goes on and you progress more into the story, the NPCs/your friends slowly die off or disappear. D, Rogier, Blaidd, Iji, Thops, Alexander and more. The Roundtable becomes empty and lonely with only three people left in the end, when at first it was packed with people who were there for different purposes, almost like a home for you. But when it is empty, you really don’t want to go back, it’s sad to think that there were once many friends living there. And the friendly NPCs you meet on your journey also die off or move on, in the end, it’s like you have no friends (That is if you don’t have friends to play Elden Ring with either), and don’t forget, you also killed all of the demi-gods, so it’s almost like an empty world, with a few enemies here and there. I wish Blaidd, Iji, and a few more NPCs survived, and that there were not traitors like Sir Gideon Ofnir The All-Knowing, and Ensha who tried to kill you at the Roundtable.

I was so sad and disappointed when I had to not only kill Blaidd but Iji died as well. I had a feeling I was gonna have to fight Blaidd, at first I met him in Redmane castle and thought he was an enemy, then realized he’s a friendly so I didn’t want to have to kill him.
Well I don't know why but my Iji is still alive and I hope it stays that way. I've killed Blaidd in front of Ranni's rise, and I have spoken to Iji about Blaidd's death. That was about a week ago. I never saw Blaidd in the evergaol. I still visit Iji because I love his damn voice and character. But also I just like having him make my +10 and +25 weapons.
I returned to Igi to find him dead and Black Assassins also dead, while unknowingly dressed as a black Assassin myself, as I found the set and thought it looked cool...... Hopefully no one saw after the fact, feel it could be taken the wrong way...

I'm new to the game so maybe I just have longer to wait? But Blaidd never attacked me and Iji is still alive and well. I did find Seluvis dead though.... I either did something wrong or very right 😅 Been several hours of gameplay since I put the ring on Ranni too??
I love the parallel of the Berserk manga between Blaid/Ranni and Guts/witch girl (her name escapes me). In the manga the witch girl has the job of bringing Guts back from his berserker rage. Here, Ranni does the same for Blaid. Really cool.
Kinda boring how almost every npc seems to die. And don't give me that, you must have never played dark souls jazz. Although death isn't always the end in from software games.
so i have a question. the potion the sulvis gives you, can be given to the babarian chick or given to the dad. if you give it to the dad nothing happens and you can lie to sulvis and get stuff from him. after a while if you mention his secret basement, he will propose a side quest. if you give him the required item, he will make a potion that can be used for a demi god. however this will end rannies quest and she will get mad. so my questions are, if you use a celestial dew will she be ok again? if you don't even try to give it to will she act like nothing happened? and can you give it to dung eater instead, to make him a puppet? (i mess up with the first potion and threw it away)
honestly i dont understand what happend to Blaidd, i just freed him so i am about to go and fight him i guess, i was wondering where he went after Radahn since i couldn't find him at Nokrom and found out about him being imprisoned in the evergaol but i have no idea what the hell is going on otherwise.
Blaidd was gifted to Ranni by the Two Fingers, not only as a bodyguard but to keep her in check. If she ever turned her back on the Two Fingers, Blaidd would turn aggressive and kill her, however his unwavering loyalty to Ranni caused him to be able to resist this control until he was eventually driven mad
Ranni probably didn't kill or try to kill Godwyn. That was just Rogier's theory. IMO Ranni is a more trustworthy source (which is hinted at by the Cursemark of Death's item description), so likely what happened is that she tried to steal the death rune but failed because it killed Godwyn at the same time.
I think she hired/helped them for the stuff to kill a god though it seems they have turned on her over time the biggest hints are that they attack her friends, though there is also one in the evergail that you can only get to though her quest line. I am guessing the 2 fingers and there followers sent them after Ranni
I was shocked. I did the quest, went to Iji, exit and save and went to bed. Next day i come back and iji is burning in middle of the road with black flame and assassins near and im like.. Did some1 hack me?.. This has calmed me down 😁
So basically. If you want him to stay alive. DON'T TELL HIM ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED TO BLAIID... Right? Also Can we go with Ranni's quest without doing the Blaiid's quest even from beginning?
so Blaidd goes crazy fighting off a curse commanding him to kill Ranni and kills some black knife assassins and dies by Ranni's trusted member (you) and Iji gets the black knife assassins sent his way not long after Blaidd. Look around at their weapons and equipment by Iji, plus Black flames. sooo we should kill the mercenaries, is there a mission for that?
Dude I thought the voice was familiar and what do I see? It's Rifle gaming lmfao, man I used to watch all of your vids during the Destiny 1 era, those were the days
After killing Blaidd I chose not to tell Iji for this exact reason. Blaidd was tortured with the fear that he would kill Ranni, i put him out of his misery, but Iji simply tried to help Blaidd so I didn’t want to lead him to his death.

I never saw Blaidd in the evergaol. I still visit Iji because I love his damn voice and character. But also I just like having him make my +10 and +25 weapons.
W gameplay
Welll he will be dead soon
I returned to Igi to find him dead and Black Assassins also dead, while unknowingly dressed as a black Assassin myself, as I found the set and thought it looked cool...... Hopefully no one saw after the fact, feel it could be taken the wrong way...
It seems that I’ve come full circle to your channel again I remember the days of D1 videos, I hadn’t realized I clicked on your channel but your voice was so familiar! We need the old intro back
Those random corpses where black knife assassins sent to kill him for help rannis plan against the greater will
*I can’t believe that’s actually an ILLUSIONARY WALL!* I did a trick jump around the cliff edge in mid air! 😅
im never doing the quest iji is like a god father to me
Fun fact those bodies lying around Iji are Black Knife Assassins!
Thanks captain obvious
The Godskin Duo: 👀
He was never there for me and I never got to do the secret dialogue
RGaming: u can find him all the way through this wall
Random Magic Unicorn: BACK OFF👉🏻👉🏻
I completed Rani's Questline, and missed all of this.
The bodies are black knife assassin's.
I was going to buy some damn stones when I find him like this 🙄
His guilt over imprisoning blaidd caused him to self immolate he was asking for forgiveness before he did it
I have drafted rdhhan and found balidd trapped and helped him then I spoke with the jaint and after that I couldn't faind him any where even at radhhan place
what do you mean found him trapped? where and how?
I think after you free Blaidd he dissappears until Ranni's quest is complete.
@@roylarda9304 In the evergaol where he was hunting the bloodhound.
I wish you could also tell Kale about Blaidd's death since they were friends too
Read his helm. It'll tell ya even more about what he really felt
Blaidd is my favorite chats there in this whole game…
If you go back to iji before opening or letting blaidd out he'll tell you about why he's in there
The blacksmith is not there in my game. Anybody know why its just some swords on the ground
Iji . What a chad
I made mistake.
How do I get Iji to come back? I attempted to kill him before going back to the grace before his death.
Yo i defeated radahn. when alexander and blaidd are standing by the grace i killed them n i tried going to the war counselor rn and hes just completely gone no bell bearing or anything i dont understand
He got assassinated😔
I'm new to the game so maybe I just have longer to wait? But Blaidd never attacked me and Iji is still alive and well. I did find Seluvis dead though.... I either did something wrong or very right 😅 Been several hours of gameplay since I put the ring on Ranni too??
I am so sorry Iji
McKenzie Alley
I love the parallel of the Berserk manga between Blaid/Ranni and Guts/witch girl (her name escapes me). In the manga the witch girl has the job of bringing Guts back from his berserker rage. Here, Ranni does the same for Blaid. Really cool.
Literally just came back to iji and find them that anyone know why
Kinda boring how almost every npc seems to die. And don't give me that, you must have never played dark souls jazz. Although death isn't always the end in from software games.
so i have a question. the potion the sulvis gives you, can be given to the babarian chick or given to the dad. if you give it to the dad nothing happens and you can lie to sulvis and get stuff from him.
after a while if you mention his secret basement, he will propose a side quest. if you give him the required item, he will make a potion that can be used for a demi god. however this will end rannies quest and she will get mad.
so my questions are, if you use a celestial dew will she be ok again?
if you don't even try to give it to will she act like nothing happened?
and
can you give it to dung eater instead, to make him a puppet?
(i mess up with the first potion and threw it away)
To all your questions yes celestia dew will allow you to continue her quest and dung eater can be made a puppet
What happens if you do not kill Blaidd after Ranni slayed the two fingers and complete the ending?
I miss your BL2 videos those were the shit
So ranni sent those little assassins after him?
Iji my boy in so sad
I got to that location but Iji is not there what might be the reason for this?
sadness ahead
i can just stop the questline at not killing bliadd without consequence right?
You can save him if you kill the black knife assassins across the map. He still alive in my game.
Even after the questline?
Yeah he was still alive after the Ranni questline. I was wrong about him though. I found his corpse towards endgame. :(
honestly i dont understand what happend to Blaidd, i just freed him so i am about to go and fight him i guess, i was wondering where he went after Radahn since i couldn't find him at Nokrom and found out about him being imprisoned in the evergaol but i have no idea what the hell is going on otherwise.
Blaidd was gifted to Ranni by the Two Fingers, not only as a bodyguard but to keep her in check. If she ever turned her back on the Two Fingers, Blaidd would turn aggressive and kill her, however his unwavering loyalty to Ranni caused him to be able to resist this control until he was eventually driven mad
thanks for the content!!!!
Eloise Lodge
Man has no idea what’s going on lmao
Ullrich Via
I'm level 100 and have no idea what's going on.
Let’s just say 2 of the best Characters in the game died ;( and well you should know joe sense this was like 3 months ago
Black knife assassins killed him i think
Do we need anymore iji after this quest
Where do you go to strengthen somber stone weapons after this happens?
Roundtable smith can do everything to max.
Sad they gave you no option to save Iji from the black assassins
I am yet to find and Npc who survives in this game
Nepheli Loux survives if you help her
I want to know why Ranni sent her assassins after her own guys
thats what im saying, she is 100% nefarious
Ranni probably didn't kill or try to kill Godwyn. That was just Rogier's theory. IMO Ranni is a more trustworthy source (which is hinted at by the Cursemark of Death's item description), so likely what happened is that she tried to steal the death rune but failed because it killed Godwyn at the same time.
they aren't her assassins, Rogier was wrong
She didnt, those weren't her assassins.
I think she hired/helped them for the stuff to kill a god though it seems they have turned on her over time the biggest hints are that they attack her friends, though there is also one in the evergail that you can only get to though her quest line. I am guessing the 2 fingers and there followers sent them after Ranni
Thank you
Dude why did he die???
Wassup
tq
Can i kill iji tho?
His helmet is ass tho
rOnnies rise.....lmao.....ITS T SHIRT TIIIIIIME
Elden ring sucks
Dystopian world if I’ve ever seen one
If we hit him and he disappears how do we bring him back?
I was shocked. I did the quest, went to Iji, exit and save and went to bed. Next day i come back and iji is burning in middle of the road with black flame and assassins near and im like.. Did some1 hack me?.. This has calmed me down 😁
If I knew any two NPCs worthy of Valhalla it would be Blaidd and Iji. god speed you warriors.
So basically. If you want him to stay alive. DON'T TELL HIM ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED TO BLAIID...
Right?
Also Can we go with Ranni's quest without doing the Blaiid's quest even from beginning?
Not Iji too!!! Curse this game!
Welp.. At least my beloved Pope turtle still alive.
depression.....depression is what happens after all of it.....
This just happened to me, and i freaked out saying "hey, hey, HEY" lol. Then tried killing the assassins when there already dead...
rannis questline is honestly so sad
Alot of them are :(
Interesting i wonder what would happen if you kill iji before he imprisons blaidd then?
so Blaidd goes crazy fighting off a curse commanding him to kill Ranni and kills some black knife assassins and dies by Ranni's trusted member (you) and Iji gets the black knife assassins sent his way not long after Blaidd. Look around at their weapons and equipment by Iji, plus Black flames. sooo we should kill the mercenaries, is there a mission for that?
Came back to this wanting to buy some smithing stones
Dude I thought the voice was familiar and what do I see? It's Rifle gaming lmfao, man I used to watch all of your vids during the Destiny 1 era, those were the days
OMG - my BF and I were wondering where you went. We kept checking Twitch. lol
After killing Blaidd I chose not to tell Iji for this exact reason. Blaidd was tortured with the fear that he would kill Ranni, i put him out of his misery, but Iji simply tried to help Blaidd so I didn’t want to lead him to his death.
Xavier Gardens
another tragic character in the game 😥
Cornelius Terrace
Thank you, I really wanted to get his helmet.
