He's always sad and suspecting, judging face makes me think he is not enjoying himself and in the process much. Probably he is thought to take the music as a professional hard-working athleticism "for repaying the immense investment by parents", where faces are always serious, struggling, and concentrating. I think I saw enjoyment even in Gould's playing - he really entertains himself in the music - like he is playing and being a listener himself at the same time..this is not the case with Kissin... IMHO.
October 10 is Yevgeny Kisin's birthday. Dear and beloved Eugene!I sincerely congratulate you on your birthday! I wish you all the best and joyful things in your life. Thank you so much for your talent as a musician and a PERSON.
Seeing him on stage with that red handkerchief gave me goosebumps. The world feels so different now, but one thing remains true-Russians are Russians. Their contributions to humanity are profound and undeniable, no matter what happens.
Wow, I have never seen this one! Thank you so much for posting it!!! I I went to every one of his NYC recitals, mostly at Carnegie and once at Lincoln Center, between 2000 and 2015. I will forever treasure those magical moments. There is no other like him. He really is the best!!
E Kissin est un génie . Le plus grand interprète de Chopin . Pas de partition , jamais , tout est dans sa tête . Je l'admire et je voudrais assister à un concert . Mille bravos .
What a great pioneer! Why not revive the pioneers. As a country of creativity. Efforts in creativity and this time not too serious music schools. But schools of smiling composers and musicians. And re one Moscow and internationally.
I listened to this concert of Kisin with Karajan "live" at the Philharmonie Berlin. 34 years have passed, and ironically enough, he was a typical "Wunderkind," i.e. he shared the fate of many Wunderkiner...

Remarkable. Cannot believe I’m really seeing and hearing this. It’s interesting that Germans are the only people who refuse to give English subtitles to their documentaries, and who irritatingly speak over the music. Arrogant. Perhaps they still believe everyone in the world should be speaking German?
Dude chill💀 this is a documentary from the nineties which was broadcast on german television. why should there be subtitles back then? And if this channel should be in German, I can understand from the number of clicks that he doesn't bother. They talked over the music because it's more about his person and his career and the pressure that comes with it. And as a german i can confirm that we would be the last ones who wanted the world to speak german because a very large part of the population hasn't had any national pride since the second world war. I find it disrespectful that you draw such a comparison.
@@jonastraeger5505 Why only since the second World War? Why not since the Kaiser’s Holocaust in South West Africa in the 19th century, when the German army chopped off the heads of thousands of Africans? They then forced African women to clean and strip the heads so that the skulls could be sent back to German museums. And, of course, there were the huge massacres of Jews by Germans in the 14th century. All of it so very conveniently forgotten. Respect for Germany?

Sadly very underrated and often laughed at by the "classical music community" .. meaning us.

Chopin himself in a new healthy body.

What do you mean?
He’s more than that, and plays to sold out crowds at 50 years old now.
Actually he has flourished and stood the test of time.
Not really. He started off a wunderkind and ended up being a real maestro.

При всём восхождении к Караяну - он был нацистом....
ПОЧЕМУ ПРЕРВАЛИ ФИЛЬМ?
Где сейчас живёт маэстро, в каких городах ?
В Праге.
А зачем тут пионерский галстук?
What is the first piece he is playing?
I think he is playing "Waltz in E minor, B. 56" by Chopin

It's an off-air VHS recording from Germany, which a friend sent me long time ago
