- The U.K. version of Madonna's first single has a radically different mix that has never been released in the U.S.
Remix by Rusty Egan
My specs:
Recorded using Audio-Technica AT-LP120-USB turntable with internal preamp removed and an AT120E cart. All records are cleaned on a VPI 16.5. I use Adobe Audition 3.0 for recording and processing. Clicks are removed manually with a light filter used sparingly.

As a Madonna fan for almost 40 years, I only discover now the existence of this wonderful piece. I absolutely love it. (I have also recently found out about a 7" version of the amazing 12" mix of Burning up..)
I suppose living with the original for so long, I was a bit taken aback by this. But I do like the added punch of percussion and the panned guitar. Truly a 'remix' in the traditional sense. Thanks for the upload !
i realize I'm kinda randomly asking but does anyone know a good site to stream new movies online?
@Titus Chase I watch on flixzone. Just search on google for it :)
Very clear. Amazing. Thank you.
Perle ultra rare ! Very GOOD :)
I like it better than the album version. Different, but not like today's remixes that are basically a totally different song.
I love that they did their best to turn this into a New Wave song for the U.K. music buyers of that time. They almost succeeded with this mix. Should be called “Everybody (The New Wave Mix)! I like it but don’t enjoy how they end her last “Come On”.

Its not all that... especially for being called a remix? The original album mix is waaay better!
Nice effort!!! Though I think the album version it's quite better. The dub version it's a little more interesting.
Apparently Madonna did not like this version and wanted the original 7inch used like everywhere else
I can totally understand why. Choppy and too short to enjoy the song's essence.
An interesting oddity in itself, but generally nothing that special. Emptily wandering about and a bit of a mess...
The original was cute and of its time but when it comes to remixes of the song, the 1987 remix (that appears on "You Can Dance") is the absolute it.
is this version in any cd?
This version is not on CD.
