Hey Maurice are you sure about 1440p, unless they lied (which has happened before to undersell) they said it would be 1080p for both modes and 4k for both modes on X

I love that your channel is Xbox Series S focused, a lot of other channels are more Xbox Series X focused. I have a Series X but the S still packs a punch and I like to see how these games hold up on the Series S by checking out your channel. I plan on buying an S for the bedroom soon.
I have a ps5 and xbox series S and man the S is a little beast just shows it can handle games like flight simulator and how beautiful forza is too... I'm most probably gunna get the x next year when there available

The Xbox Series S supports 4K Resolution just like the Series X does.

It’s absolutely crazy for me I came from playing Xbox 360 up until late 2021 and I’m about to upgrade to the series S I can’t imagine how good it will feel to finally have a new console

I still can't believe how sumptuous the visuals still look on performance mode and it runs soooo much smoother!
I booted up FH5 on my Series S just last night in the Graphics Mode …and WOW, I was not expecting it to look SO good!!! Absolutely gorgeous game …personally, I’m not critical on FPS so I’ll keep it on the Graphics Mode cause man, it’s stunning

For some reason, this game reminds me of the arcade racers that I used to go play at the arcade and pump quarter after quarter to keep playing. It's like a Modern day legit arcade racer

I got a series s a week ago and decided to play horizon 4 first because I don’t want to miss out on that. And I’m afraid I would skip it if I would play this right now. But it is so tempting. Gamepass has so many amazing games. It’s overwhelming
Not only do they have 60fps, it seems they did something right with the 30fps mode.. it feels smoother compared to other games.
The fact that the perspective is fixed behind the car also helps smoothen the frames.
I think it was Digital Foundry that said they used a technique that makes the 30FPS mode seems a lot smoother/faster. Also helps that you have to restart game to make changes. That way you cant feel the difference right away haha
Idk why but for me it's not smooth at all in quality mode...performance mode work like a charm with locked 60 fps...idk what's up.

@@brejkjaneck8629 I agree. I tried the performance mode first then I tried the quality mode. The quality mode felt like a slide show and it gave me a headache. The performance mode looks great while maintaining a locked 60FPS.

I advise to play Marvel's avengers assemble in 4k screen 60 fps- the world is so beautiful- crystal dynamic works in this visual quality as in Lara croft: shadow of the tomb raider.
I had a Series X I sold it... I know I know LOL recently got a Series S and I love you're content and I love the little console that could...only reason I sold my Series X was because I have a pretty beefy PC I got the Series S from a friend for $200 I couldn't go wrong...thanks again Maurice for the GREAT content!!!

Just had a blast!! Quality mode is gorgeous!! Plays very well.... But then I tried performance mode... And once you taste those 60fps it's hard to go back even with a few graphical drops. Game is Absoloutley game of the year
Thats why im not gonna touch performance mode i dont wanna get used to 60fps its pretty rare on big games on xbox

Hey, Maurice! Could you make a longer gameplay with the 30FPS quality option? IMO the 30FPS gameplay was a little bit short in this video which means that you probably prefer more the 60FPS mode. Can’t blame you😁
Its impressing how good forza looks on this little console.
I've heard some people complain about the game purposely lowering the resolution down to 810p just to allow that high frame rate...is this actually true? Or is it just some rare cases? Cause I don't see such issue in this video.

Looks very good on series S. I would have bought XSX but I guess they will be available only late 2022 so had to go with XSS. But happy with that one too.
Forza Horizon 5 shows that the Series S is a very capable solid game machine even compared to the Series X.
I've just watched this video and have to say you did a great job at showcasing it on the Series S so much so that I've just ordered one from Amazon with a three month game pass ultimate as I'm guessing I'll need xbox live to play this game or can I play it without Xbox live anyway I've now subscribed to your channel and hope to see more Series s optimised games.

Ray tracing is in both series s and x, but only in forzavista mode, this is true for both the S and X when running quality mode.

I think upgrading from a One S to a One S will be cool. A Series S can start up even from the energy saver mode in about 20 seconds, and for One S ir takes about 1 minute and 13 seconds even on the faster startup mode... and it's kinda surprising how Series S can move around FH5 faster than the X...

Got rid of my XB1 and PS4 awhile back for a PS4 PRO, got a Series s for a deal £200, I am very impressed.
I’ve been playing FH5 on PC (I7-8700K - 1080Ti - 16GB DDR4 Ram, etc.) 1440p “Extreme” pre set @ 60-90fps and LOVE the game definitely worth getting. Seriously considering getting a Series S to hook up in my living room. For the money the Series S I think is just about perfect and now with FH5 it’s that much more appealing. 1080p@60fps still looks very nice!

@kurumi chan Oh okay, so from what I understand the Series S should be able to run FH5 @120fps (1080p) although likely not a LOCKED 120fps but more like 60-120fps depending on load.
Regardless, 60fps is still perfectly playable / enjoyable for FH5 so the Series S should be pretty ideal for the game IMO. Personally this is how I'd play it (locked at 60fps) if I had the Series S.
The Series S is a pretty damn decent deal IMO.
haven't run into a single issue yet on series s picked one up specifically for this and halo

The XSS is just the XSX but it doesn't have a disc drive, it's smaller, and it's white.....

There is ray tracing on series s, most people get that wrong so it’s understandable but yeah there’s ray tracing, for sure. But I do notice ray tracing is what will drop your performance more then any other aspect.

Gotta admit, it's so gorgeous on 60FPS mode. But thankfully I'm used to 30FPS, all thanks to DriveClub PS4 (Which Sony killed it).

The fact that Xbox series x has raytracing isn’t much of a big deal because for a doesn’t have much raytracing implemented anyway. Only reflections usually smaller that you won’t notice 😊

Hey Maurice, thanks for your content! I have a problem with forza horizon 5 on my series s, the radio in game doesn't work anymore. Also even with mapping keys it still doesn't work. Anyone here who has had the same problem and knows the solution? Internet searches are vague and solutions there didn't work for me.

Performance 60fps is better because you drive fast on this game to prevent crashing to the wall
I actually didn't find much difference in 30 and 60 fps but the resolution difference was very visible. Its just beautiful in 2k, really 300$ is every penny worth on this device
