My grandfather knew Einstein and told a story about his bar mitzvah lessons. Young Albert took issue with the Rabbi’s description of the world as the “center of the universe.” That rabbi was Jacob Gotthelf, my great grandfather. In his first explanation, the rabbi said it is the spiritual center. That wasn’t good enough for Albert, an argumentative 12-year old who challenged the concept of a spiritual universe. Seeing Albert’s pragmatism, my great grandfather drew a proof that any point in the universe can be defined as its center with any motion mathematically derived from that center so all motion was relative to that center. Although the math was beyond Albert at the time, he never forget that lesson. The Jewish Reform movement began in Germany as a rejection of religious dogma (Moses Mendelssohn 1729-1786) . Unfortunately, that movement was responsible for adopting an anthropomorphic God which contradicts Jewish orthodoxy that says God is beyond any definition. According to my father, Einstein believed in God as the creator... period. He never denied God’s existence and frequently acknowledged Him with references like, “God does not play dice with the universe!” So, there you have it!

Eric Gutkind wrote that Jews are superior to all other races and then goes into deep detail explaining his reasoning.

@@lumarians Infact my tree was on a southern slope in a beautifull surroundings with many lavender plants near the woods , its was a beautifull tree, and my heart is still sore that I had to remove it, it was the only thing that grew in barren earth. A. Einstein did not want to create a tautology. He had problems with Quantum Mechanics, but he recognised entanglement, so he did not want to say the universe does not play dice with the universe. So he used the metaphysical term God as a synonym for the universe, thereby not creating a tautology.
The theory of relativity is there in the bible. Einstein simply explained it further. 2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Well an extra-territorial is a being that isn't from Earth. So if you would rather call God that, you're not wrong. Seems like humans needed a God invested in humanity to receive that knowledge. Like the God of the Bible maybe? Also, I would like to note that a religion is produce by works. You have to work at something to show you are worthy of your religion. Jesus didn't teach religion. He taught grace. You can't work your way into heaven. You have to believe that Jesus died for your sins and accept the option of salvation. Through his mercy we earn eternal life. It's not what we do for him. But what he did for us. This is what makes Christianity unique from any other belief. Hence it is the true one.

These so-called gods were inventions in the mind of people who rejected the truth of the one true God. Only the God of the Bible.

This just proves the ignorance and stubbornness of mankind, every human builds up his own reality, even if it’s wrong and incorrect in any aspect. Humans choose to believe whatever feels the most right for them, but sometimes humans just ignore the actual reality.

It is sort of tragic that Einstein, with all of his intelligence and imagination, missed the greatest point in the world, that there is a true personal God that not only created everything, but that wants to have fellowship with man. I believe that Einstein's ideas and formulas were actually inspired by God, as one human could scarcely come up with these truths and revelations without that inspiration from above.

Why is there anything? At the very least I’ve had to acknowledge intelligence behind order and creation, that was constantly reinforced during my time in College and studies in science. I accept a more personal God, regardless of how profound and difficult it is to wrap our minds around in our current state.

What emerged from nothing?? The universe is a closed thermodynamic system. It is self contained. Even if there are things outside the universe, nothing inside the universe came from outside and nothing outside is needed. You can only ask what is outside the universe when you FAIL to understand what a closed thermodynamic system is.

For the quotes that he made regarding religiosity, he did not use the same definition of it as it is colloquially used. He meant it like this "If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it." You could say that his religion is Science but that's just my opinion.

How did Albert Einstein go about concluding that the Bible is a collection of "primitive legends" when so much of what is in the Bible are plain historical facts? How does the migration of Israelites from Egypt with Moses fit into the "primitive legend" theory?
Nicholas Mutisya All religious texts are influenced by the experiences and land of the people surrounding them. Homer wrote about the Trojan War. A city that really existed. Does that mean that demigods exist and that the Odyssey after the war is real? Likewise with the exodus. Was there a historical group of Israelites? Of course, but that doesn’t mean there was Devine intervention. Humans have always constructed myths and stories around real events and places. If we read biblical texts today we have to read them critically in the context of today’s knowledge.

They have somehow decided for themselves that there is no God, no angels, no spiritual dimension, no heaven or hell; every experience and observation must be forced to fit into that world view and whatever can't fit into that is dismissed.
Such lack of objectivity is not even good for science itself! What scientific proof is there that nothing else exists outside the tangible matter known to science? There is great danger in such way of doing things.
Nicholas Mutisya I must disagree with you. Science doesn’t care about our traditions, it concerns itself with observations and deriving laws from those observations to make predictions. If everything in our universe can be explained using these laws than there is no need for a God to govern. While some people reject the idea of a god (atheism), most scientists, I as an engineer encountered, are agnostic. They simply don’t see the need for a God when there is no positive evidence or one. Objectivity is all about stating empirical truths not statements that can’t be disproven.

Einstein was good in physics. His philosophy about God and religion was very primitive. His values were part of the Jewish tradition, but he was not the person to talk seriously about religious matters. As for the "childish" Bible stories, the world learned a whole lot of good things from it, like the sanctity of life, etc.
One can find God, yet not know it, nor see it. Infinite intelligence. And was there all along.

Of course in the above context he doesn't refer to the God of nature laws, the one that "doesn't play dice..". He refers to God as something that man cannot know under any context. The Jewish God is unique, not in the monotheistic sense. Is unique in the sense that embodies the commandements (and not only the Ten ones). The faith of religious people should not be to believe in some kind of divinity, but the following a set of rules for individual and societal perfection. The God of the Jews is the rules themselves. Einstein is a child of this wise society that endured so many hardships during the last two millennia just by following the rules.

Science always proved that religious or a person God doesn't exist and even if it exists then why is Earth so important for the God? Perhaps Einstein was bitter against the Almighty because of the holocaust. But he likely would not have taken Deuteronomy 28 seriously since he is dismissive about the Bible, which is actually backed up by history and archaeology, and fulfilled prophecies.
