- Nope, the game isn't nearly over yet. Ryoshima Coast is actually one of my favorite areas. Beautiful setting, awesome music.
Copyrights to Okami belong to former Clover, ReadyatDawn Studios (for Wii port), and ultimately Capcom.
That feeling when you think you beat Okami but then it gets about three times longer.
Kongu_ Inika I thought the game would end at Ōrochi, so it made my life so much better when I realised ai was only half way rhrough
I thought that too when I beat Orochi. Then I was like ''Oh, it still continues..''
You fight Orochi twice
The bamboo girl, underwater palace, etc. brings back memories.
@@Iamandyification Three times. Once in the Moon Cave, once in the past, and once on the Ark of Yamato.
When a game OST alone makes you want to replay that game over and over again. Its just how good it is.
+Dariel Lim ikr
+Dariel Lim Well, there's a beautiful 5 Disc soundtrack for the game, so I can listen to it when I'm not playing the game.
Fak Yuh Googel Where did you get the 5 disc soundtrack?
yes
Ik this comment if 4 years old, but this song and the art style alone sold me on the game :) currently playing though it for the first time :)
I remember crying, hard, when I heard this for the very first time ingame. The combination of how gorgeous the place was, the game that was expanding even more, the grandiosity of how powerful the music was becoming at every loop... tears just fell, copiously. I wasn't sad, I was awestruck.
Okami is wonderful.
YAS someone gets it very few games bring a tear to my eye. Okami was one of em
A mí me sucedió lo mismo y también me emocioné con el tema de Shinshu Field
@@segatasanshiro5351 ditto during the real end of the game I was in mode: "good I finished... my adventure is completed... it was the most beautiful game of my life"
When the "WOOOooOOO!!!" kicks in and you feel the sun on your back
I always wondered who tf screamed that
You talking about the reflector or the actual sun
@@virgovertigo8076 which reflector there’s two that look like the sun
@@neptune7872 probably solar flare because divine retribution looks more like a sun disk
@@virgovertigo8076 I always thought it looked like a manhole cover lol
I remained in the Ryoshima Coast just to listen to this amazing song! Thumbs up if you're guilty of it!
oh hi 10 hours of my total game hours live here
Bring that rag healing thingy and I'm roleplaying as if I'm in a beach chillin'
@@eternal_seokjin7441 in my NG+ file I already had the wood mat so I just left Ammy there for like 3 hours
@@neptune7872Similar to me. Usually after defeating Orochi for the first time, I have Amny sleep on a Konohana blossom, and just love the music.
The spirit of adventure is strong with this music
No, Watchmojo, Okami is not a Zelda clone
I personally was way more invested in Okami than any of the games I have played from the Zelda franchise :)
The people at WatchMojo don't know anything about video games anyway, even though they think they do.
Okami was better than Zelda.
+Pleb on the Web PLUS, Legend of Zelda doesn't have horrible ball-pushing physics.
DarkMagolor okami does remind me of twilight princess (wolf, riding companion, quest to stop a great evil that has returned, ganon has 4 phases, Yama has 5. ) and This also has a dungeon where you are in a ancient, beast digestive system (the words "ocarina of time" come to mind. Referring to jabs jabu's stomach and either the inside of dragon or the emperor with a flu)
Music like this is proof positive that Okami transcends from being just a game into a true work of art.
Also 21 servants of Yami must have disliked this.
*smiles after having bad day*
This story will never leave my heart.
This might be an adaptation on an ancient legend, but going on this adventure with the old goddess really changed my life. It made me seek out spiritual cultivation!
Same! Okami blossomed a love for Japan in me that has stuck around even a decade later.
Okami made me realize how fascinated I was by foreign mythology, folklore, architecture, food, etc. It not only made me love Japan, but the entire vast world out there in front of me. I'll always be grateful to Okami for showing me that.
@@LilChuunosuke That's beautiful. I share the same appreciation for cultures and while I grew up doing karate and admiring Samurai this was a turning point/level up for my love for J culture
The best thing about Okami is that its characters are almost all based on their own legends and old stories, however loosely. It’s multiple tales of folklore and mythology all rolled into one game if you think about it like that.
Every now and then when I watch a let’s play of this game, I learn more about the inspiration behind every little thing because the person playing has the knowledge.
My only problem with this song is that it ends.
+Tectiva NOT IN GAME!
Watch the 10 hour versio then :)
right click on video > click loop
that's why i use vgmstream players, ENDLESS LOOP

I visited my Zoo in Columbus, Ohio last week and I'm pretty sure this song was playing outside the Asian Elephant exhibit. I freaked out.
I heard this at a Chinese restaurant one time my mom didn't know why I was freaking out
This song makes me want to replay Okami more and more.
back 3 years later, i can safely say that i've played okami about 8 times so far and i'm probably gonna go for a 9th soon enough ^^ i love this game too much...
Played 2 times over the past year and looking forward to a 3rd play through some time. Okami is my favorite game.
Haha yeah...
@@pensluo747I'm going back for my second complete playthrough I've played it once completely but I got half of the shit on the first playthrough
I always loved Ryoshima Coast. It was where the game really started to pick up
Yep!! Best part of the entire main quest. It was very meaty with an interesting story.
tbh This second arc is what makes the game.
ryoshima arc is the best of the entire game
A lot of people think this one is the best, I personally like Kamui more but Ryoshima is second for me
@@neptune7872 Kamui was really fun to explore since it had a lot of hidden caverns and fountains, and well...It has Oki.
It's really sad that Okami isn't as well know as it deserves to be.
It's massively popular now but still not enough
It sold 1 million copies from release to now.
However, every one was rated 5 stars.
@@thatonegaminglatias4345 one million? nice. but YES NEEDS MORE
Amaterasu for Smash! No? Just me? Okay...
@@SegaDisneyUniverse Yessss! I'd buy Smash tbh
I finished this game just two days ago on the Wii. One of the best works of art I have ever had the honor of experiencing.
For some reason it always makes a second version of my comment. But anyways. I actually didn't get any of the completing game stuff the first few times I played, making me forced (I wasn't forced I just wanted em) to play it again. I completed it 17 times. About 3 of those times were cus I wanted my stuffs. Now Iv been replaying it for all dem stray beads.
I beat it fully the second time, not the first.
@@yannatoko9898 Nice. 7 years later and it is still pretty much my favorite game.
When those drums start playing, it reminds me of running wolves' feet.
It always sounds like thunder to me, and it honestly gives me chills.
My favorite area in the game for sure. The music is epic and the shipwreck and Cat Call Tower envoke an aura of intriguing mystery when you first arrive at Ryoshima Coat.
This may be the first and only UA-cam video where is actually recommend reading the comments. I love you all, and most especially I love this song. Sometimes I fire up Okami just to enjoy the beautiful physics built into frolicing around the coast to this track.
Video games are no longer just games, they are transforming, becoming one of the greatest art forms ever made. Combining music, painting, sculpture, storytelling, and...something else into an elegant and dynamic medium which this generation is lucky enough to enjoy.
Hands down the best Wii game I've ever played.
Il ai aussi sur ps3 en hd
Le goff Fabienne
Or simply, in original on Play Station 2
The game starts to get really good after defeating orochi for the first time, love this music
Coincidence bumping into you here, huh
this music lituraly brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it, It PERFECTLY fits the surroundings of the whole game which might be simplistic, but made with such passion and beauty,.... no doubt one of the BEST GAMES I EVER played
Listening to this music makes me wonder why I haven't gone back and played the game again
It's games like this that I wish I could wipe my memory of and play a second time, totally blind. I was too young to fully appreciate the music and art of the game when it first came out and I would love to play through it without knowledge of it at my current age.
when the second part starts I genuinely think it’s impossible for me to not get goosebumps
Okami's art style is godlike. pun intended
took like 13 hours to get to this part the first time around, I was like, oh so this is halfways, 20 hours laters, maybe I'm halfways now, nah 40 hours later, ah final boss, no wait, 10 hours later real meaty final awesome Dungeon, the end..wow, this game is colossal o_O and very little filler as well, capcom really outdid themselves with this one
It took you that long? I had everything found and the game beat in 25 hours on my first run, on my second run It only took 22.
I was exaggerating, though the scope of the game feel that big as you play it the first time. I don't really remember how long I spent the first time I beat it, I've replayed it too much to recall :)
xD
I agree I long live the game as long as I can. Some tings are so good you never want to see them end. ♥
Yeah, yet the ending in okami is so beautiful lol
those thundering drums in the back 2:47!
Favorite area in the game. :)

Such an amazing game.
okami is the best game ever. the story is amazing. the music is on a whole other plain of exsistance. the visuals, although cartoony, are staggering.
You know, it takes a trained to recognize each instrument. And personally I think this sounds better when the drums are playing. Either way, every person who helped make this master piece of a game deserves a hug.
HOW COULD SOMEONE DISLIKE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!?????
A yami sympathizer.
*Spamming a circle in the sky with the brush for 5 hours* 😎
What kind of rock do I live under to have not picked this game up earlier in life
Baraubon oh honestly...i just finished it for the first time last week and then i found out it’s 14 years old and barely anyone talks about it anymore which is such a shame
The "you're 1/3 done" theme.
I feel like jumping on a horse and riding along the beach now brb
I still remember the feeling of running across those plains back in 2006 after I'd previously thought the game was over, and it just kept going ❤
This music just brought tears to my eyes. And it's extremely rare for music to have that effect on me. I've been dealing with a lot of depression lately (I'm not diagnosed or anything, but have been feeling some of the symptoms every now and again) and listening to this song reminded me that things get better. That just because I might feel worthless and unwanted doesn't mean I am and that sticking through the tough times only makes the good times that come afterwards all the sweeter. I've never played this game (though I do want to get the HD version that's coming out soon) and I have no experience with this level, but that's just the effect this music had on me. Truly amazing.
this music is so calming, yet so intense at the same time, it makes you just want to chill out and relax, while being totally focused
This was recreated perfectly in Okamiden :D They're both very beautiful songs.
Okami was one of the greatest games, and I;m truly glad It's coming out for PS4, X-Box one, and PC. so you will be able to play it again, with Okami HD, I am NOT kidding, it's coming out on Dec 12th, 2017, and I will be beside myself in playing this amazing game again.
MrArcadia2009 Its nice to have something on xbox not just trying to be Photorealistic shooter #1373
Damn i really need to replay this game
this one has windwaker vibes - sense of adventure and a world so much bigger than your own, open expectations and a greater beyond
Best music of all time. I love Okami so much, one of my favorites ;')
This song just embodies adventure. It makes me want to be bold and brave... just like Amaterasu was.
*Tears rolling, heart beating the crazy while hearing this ingame*
BUSTY BABE WHERE ARE YOU!?!
*Proceeds to 1 shotting everything until i reach the shrine*
Already dead or bleeding? One more disaster I can add to my generous supply!
This song stopped me for taking my own life, i'm speechless.
One of the great things this game showed me was the inherent, transcendent worth every person has... I am very, very glad to hear your life did not end in sadness.
Nicholas Smith Thank you!
Neil Mallick it has a message, whether you hear it or not.
No...it's good music, but there's no "message", it's just the background to a coast.
Neil Mallick well, yeah, but music is supposed to convey a feeling. It just depends on what feeling it instills.
I nearly cried when I had to leave Issun behind...
The Okami soundtrack has most of my favourite songs EVER!
I always liked that little melody that starts at 0:57. I wish this game was more popular. One of the best games I ever played.
Man, when the drums kick in, it's just such a good time!!!
Dude..... Who are these people making this....it's perfect.
I'm currently playing it my 4th time around. There is no way anything in Okami will ever get old!
No...I'm not crying. I'm just sweating through my eyes.
The composer(s) deserves a raise.
When the hd version came out on the switch, I was VERY happy to learn that the celestial brush could be used via the touch screen. Made the most patience-testing part of the controls SO MUCH easier, and it feels cathartic to actually make the brush strokes with my finger as if I’m actually painting the lines.
While the game always looks better on a bigger screen because it displays the beautiful details that much more, I think the brush controls aged very well for the Switch.
I remember that I always visited Ryoshima Coast to stay to listen to this song.
One of the many reasons I wanted Amaterasu in ssb4 was this song
Imagine her moveset, the stages, the remixes of music, the victory poses man so many possibilities nintendo needs to do that...maybe in a smash 5
Imagine her winning a battle and then her victory pose its like her victory howls.
I already thought up her specials
Up special would be water spout
Side special would be slash
Down would be cherry bomb
Neutral would be bloom, which she could heal herself and as long she stays in the spot she used bloom, she won't get knocked back. The area disappears after 10 seconds, the longer you hold b,the bigger bloom area becomes until you release b. Her grab could be vine. She can switch between the mirror, which can deflect attacks, the sword, stronger butslower attacks, or the bead whip, weaker but longer ranged attacks
Plus okami was ported to Wii and its sequel is a ds exclusive, meaning the series has ties to Nintendo systems
That moveset is very clever when i throught for myself i didnt managed to include the brush tecniques in it.
Next we will be able to hear this masterpiece on PS4!
The two dislikes are Ninetales and Blight, who died while this awesome music was playing in nearby areas to them.
I had Zelda TP and this at the same time and I found myself playing more Okami everyday and later I just stopped Zelda and played this every day and even after 20 hours it felt like I still hadn't see the half of it! And the Soundtrack is just HUGE!!!
I've played okami at least 5 times, and while Ni No kuni is currently my all time favorite game Okami holds a very special place in my heart ;-;
If only it had a re release on the Wii u.
This game turns 10 in April. I need to replay it before then.
this song fills me with overwhelming peace that i can't even begin to explain
The music, the art, the gameplay, the story... there isn't a single thing about this game that isn't a masterpiece.
there is one thing in this game that will never be beaten. ok well two things. the story line, and the music. the music... ho my god. especially this song? this just calms me, and puts me into a very relaxed mood. im sure that most of you will agree
I so hope this was orchestrated because it sounds too amazing to be synthesized.
Every single song in Ōkami was orchestrated.
I've always been a big Nintendo guy. Grew up with Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Smash Bros, Kirby, all that good Nintendo stuff. You couldn't even to begin to imagine my surprise when I found this game, and how I was even more surprised when I deemed this the greatest game I've ever played.
The best overworld theme in any game ever
god I miss this game so much, I loved hearing this theme... and the whole ost really. the drum part at around 2:45 is my favorite. really wanna play it again
Entering Ryoshima Coast for the first time and being completely overwhelmed by the absolutely majestic visuals and soundtrack of the area will always be one of my favorite videogame moments. A piece of art that is tattooed in my mind since my childhood, thanks to everyone involved in this lovely game.
Best music to play while watching downhill skiing
This game and all its music is timeless. Nothing compares. Not even Okamiden.
I personally think that, for all the situations in Okami, they fit music to it very well. It's not in every game that you can find music that matches the situation well.
Oh the memories....
This and Shinshu Fields have the most addicting BGMs. Not counting the digging minigames and Ammyback-riding themes of course.
The digging minigame music brings me nothing but rage
Just makes me think of the "cmon cmon NOOO DONT TURN AROUND DAMMIT THERES A PIT AND IM RUNNING OUT OF TIME" type stuff
@@kydatyvegrybatokeanvisoko2420 The music is a bop, but the rage is REAL lol
I think my favorite part of this song is the drums. They like add a sense of adventure and movement to the song. IDK how really to explain it otherwise.
When I hit that area in the game I was at the verge of tears. That's just how beautiful this game is. And now it's my favorite one ever. Never am I going to sell it, nor my Wii!
Running through the plains
Flowers spring out behind me
I am Okami
this whole game is such an artistic masterpiece
this is the best game EVER!!!
this game is not just a game
THIS GAME IS ART!
This game will have a very special place in my heart and I still listen to the music to this day
I get this feeling we won't have a game like Okami for a long time, until someone decides to step up to the company and demand to create a game like Okami. Seems Team ICO are those few studios who makes video game not just for mere entertainment but for the visual, narration, and innovation.
One of the best games ever made, only a few other games in the history of gaming has ever put a smile on my face the entire time. I just wish my PS2 still worked... =[
The Legend Of Zelda can only dream of being this good...
alll these memories about playing okami..... Im crying
One of the best games in the world. You'd cry if you beat it, I know I did. Most beautiful game in the world.
It's good that I just realized this is my favourite place/theme in the game. AFTER I saved in the Ark of Yamato. -_-
RapDog62 i made the same mistake and i hate myself so much for it
I sincerely thought I was close to the end of the game when I beat Orochi.
And then...
This and Zelda are perhaps the two best games from the Video Gaming industry. Theres no need for FPS or litres of blood- a masterpiece can be crafted from a simply story of beauty.
IU've spent a half an hour or more just sitting in this area to listen to it...... Incredible music!
This music aged like a fine wine
Okami was an amazing game. I'm still playing and am loving every minute of it. I love this song, its probably one of my favorite tracks from the game!
Man, Okami just got better and better with Season 2
i come back to this song everyday, the feelings i get every time i listen to this song and the rest of the okami soundtrack are indescribable, this game will forever hold a special place in my life and will be my favorite game of all time until they release another sequel that somehow tops this game. I love Ōkami.
a truly underrated masterpiece of a game
What do you mean underrated? Amaterasu made it in Marvel vs. Capcom too
You thought the game was over? NOPE.
You tell me. Exactly how I feel about Shadow of the Colossus. It is staggering, amazing, but only for the first time.
