Advice for my trans beauties that are scared to go straigh in. Somethings that might make you feel a little girly
    -Try clear nailpolish
-Wear lipgloss and say it's chapstick
    -also light mascara
    - if you want you can wear girly underwater under boxers
    -shave your armpits
    - paint your toe nails
    - if you want you can wear a sports bra under a sweater
Remember your beautiful and these are somethings that may make you feel good , you don't have to these are more for closeted people. I love you all and am so proud of you guys ❤❤

      Just get your eyebrows shaped.

I don't think you mentioned this but I noticed you were doing it so I thought I'd just bring it up; whenever you're picking up powder you want to tap off the excess so you don't pick up too much pigment. It's easier to build up color than to try and take it off once it's on. This goes for eyeshadows, blush, contour, etc. If you do end up with a lot of pigment (say you went in on your blush) you can take a clean brush and go back over the area to help blend out the color and soften it up! (Love you gothic bread mom 🍞❤️)

Stef, thank you so, so much for this video. I'm a cis woman, but my face doesn't look very feminine and it always made me very uncomfortable, but I don't know anything about make-up so I never knew how to make my face appear more feminine. No one ever makes videos like this for people who know nothing about makeup, so seeing this really made my day. Stef, I think I know why you do that little trick with your eyeliner to achieve your distinct cat-eye look. It's called a positive canthal tilt, where the inner eye corners are tilted lower down than the outer corner of your eyes by a few degrees. The result is an incredibly attractive set of eyes and people with "really nice eyes" generally have at least a slightly positive tilt. You simulate this effect brilliantly with your eyeliner and your eyes end up looking bomb as hell (they were always bomb you make them look additionally bomb) I don't know if you knew about this already but hey!! Just thought it was worth throwing it out there

For ya'll that want an eyelid primer, Wet N Wild's Photo Focus (or photo finish, I can't remember) works really well for me and it's really affordable. Their eye shadows aren't too bad either, they could be more pigmented but lack of pigment isn't always bad because you can build them. If you want more vibrant, bright colors that are affordable, try Nyx. They have lots of "weird" colors.
Use white eye shadow or highlighter on the inner corner of your eyes to look bigger.
And finally, just do what you want and have fun with it. Don't worry if it doesn't come out exactly how you want it to, keep practicing and doing new things. Expand your makeup horizons. Have a good time.

If you can get cheap drugstore makeup and practice it in your room while your parents aren't around, that tends to be a good starting point in terms of getting skills and feeling more comfortable with yourself. Just make sure you get makeup remover or wipes, and that you fully remove eye makeup and lip makeup, which can sometimes leave behind traces even after you wash them off.

Living i think that teenagers are mean when people are different. So with that being said, you will be bullied by some but it's so important you have a support system if you decide to wear makeup to school. Boys can be assholes to other boys, so as a person who cares about your well being - I agree that you should get advice from someone who knows how to answer this question. Maybe slowly ween your way into it at home and other stuff around friends, and then slowly start in the school environment?

A way to make your face look more youthful, innocent and feminine is to try doing natural Korean gradient lips.
It's really easy, you just put a little bit of colour (a few shades darker/more red than your actual lip colour) at the innermost part of your lips and then blend it outwards a little. And you're done! If you want to you can make it quite subtle, then it doesn't really look like you're wearing anything on your lips, but it makes you look a lot younger and softer. You could of course make it very glam if you want to. There are lots of tutorials for advanced ways to do it, but this is the basic principle^^

    • @adog3147
      @adog3147 7 років тому +2

Yep, it makes you look like your mouth is very small and doll-like, so it would be very useful for someone who is trying to look innocent and effeminate, and it can also draw more attention to your eyes. :)

Stef, if you only knew how much you have brightened my life. With every video I watch I become more addicted to you. I have started to need my daily Stef fix!
It's amazing how far you've come and what you have been through. It has taken strength, knowledge and courage for you to be what most people take for granted. To feel free.
Never, (and I know you won't) change for anyone but yourself.
My days are easier to get through when I think of you, because you have made me laugh and smile, in more ways than anyone has done in a long time.
I can not put into words how you truly make me feel. So I will simply say thank you. I am lucky to have found you.

I have been searching for a proper make-up tutorial for ages now (I usually don't like to wear make up but on certain occasions I do), and of course now that I'm not searching for it I stumble upon your video. I absolutely loved it! Most of the tutorials I find just show the products they use and them slapping it on and not really explaining why or what it does. I found your tutorial very helpful (and funny!) so I feel a tad more confident to try it out now. Thanks so much!
    Also...you are seriously gorgeous!

Stef, please forgive my dumb brain! When this video showed up, I said to myself oh I didn’t know Stef was a makeup artist? I don’t even know why I thought that since UA-cam is filled with creative ppl that don’t happen to be makeup artists! But the reality is that you ARE a makeup artist!! By that I mean you’re not only sharing good info for everyone, but you’re giving tips and sharing your experience with trans women for trans women and I’m completely in love with you for that. You’re an expert on your own experiences and sharing that expertise with newcomers and novices and ppl learning is a MINISTRY in the best possible use of the term. You’re so knowledgeable. You’re so kind hearted. You’re so beautiful. You’re so compassionate and giving and wonderful. You’re an angel and a gift. You’re a blessing to us all. The world is a better place because you are in it. ☀️🌸🐝💕

You are an inspiration to keep moving forward when there seems no reason to do so, I am around my 10th month on HRT but i still in the same emotional place when i started. people around me notice the changes on me but i still feel the same. But seeing how far have you come and the changes that can be made make me have hope that one day i can feel comfortable on my own skin.
Thank you for everything you do, i am so glad i stumble upon one of your videos.

I love this and how you explained everything in detail. It's common thought that you learn how to do makeup when your younger by a parent or sibling, but a lot of people don't get that for any reason. I didn't get that because my parents raised me with certain religious beliefs that said that girls couldn't wear makeup. Now that I'm older, I don't hold those beliefs and want to learn how to express myself through makeup, but couldn't find many things out there to help. People don't realize that adults can be confused and don't understand makeup. I thank you again for helping.

This video was so incredibly helpful. THANK YOU!! I've been trying to out make up on for years, and could never figure out why it never turned out right. All of the tutorials I've found were hard to follow, and rarely ever gave much info on the what the products were or how they really worked. Thank you , thank you, THANK YOU!! You are precious. You are amazing. You are gorgeous in every way possible.
