Very handsome and well detailed model of the Santa Fe "Blue Goose" steam locomotive from BLI, i really would like to own one of these models but the brass level costs are too expensive for me.
Thanks for the idea. I had totally forgotten about the scouts going to the Grand Canyon . I will have to plan on running that train as a special on my layout…..John
I was reading through a book called Cajon The passage to the Pacific and they talk about Shriner Specials and the Boy Scouts Jamboree going to California so I'm kind of using that
@@DPT3001 Yes they did that plus they went to the Grand Canyon. It was described in one of the Santa Fe Historical Society magazines. If I remember correctly, most if not all of the passenger cars were heavyweights and all were led by steam engines…..

That's very cool. I wish i could get my hands on a lot more heavyweight cars.
