- This is not the first time we have experienced horror on a train but there was something about this one that really creeped me out!

ABOUT FRACTURED MIND:
This is a PT inspired psychological horror game, with a bodycam style.
It's a fairly simple and straightforward game, with a heavy focus on atmosphere. There are also puzzles and shooting elements (which will be expanded upon in the full build).
The HUD is almost entirely non existent, with the exception of the crosshair which appears only when looking at interactable items.
There is no hand-holding in this game. While not difficult by any means, you do need to pay attention to some things.

Don't know if anyone else has mentioned it but PT was a playable teaser for a horror game that never released because it got cancelled. In it you just looped through the same hallway while things subtly changed.
Definitely was inspired by it. Even the radio talk is very similar
PT is probably the scariest game of all time, and it is not even a full game! 😂 such a shame Silent Hills got cancelled..

That "looook beehhyiiind yooouu" in the middle of the normal reporting, just broken enough to sound like the unreal voice is breaking down.. that was well done. Snuck it in there, just once, too. Not overused. Love seeing fun variations of these creepy elements.

This game is wildly unrealistic.
At 4:17, Fooster looks at a sign that clearly indicates the train is delayed. As someone who takes the B train on the MTA every day (the very train this is supposed to be), I can tell you that there is no communication to the passenger. Just a muffled announcement that the train will be moving again shortly, with no ETA as to when or any reason given as to what stopped the train.
Also, the B train in NYC currently has orange-red seats, not blue, and is NEVER this comfortably empty. 0/10 not immersive.

The 7000-series Metro cars eschew the orange carpet to which commuters have grown accustomed.
They used to be blue in the 90s and almost always had delays and would drop you at the dekalb station. Always had the craziest homeless people at that station.
I’m so glad I have UA-camrs to watch go through games like this because my heart couldn’t handle it 😂. The repetition gave me so much anxiety. I don’t know how you handle these games with such grace but boy howdy am I grateful for it.
It seems like whatever Michael is experiencing is an extreme form of PTSD (sorry if this was mentioned).

This reminded me of a movie from 2008 called 'The Midnight Meat Train'. Where the train driver and conducter were killing passangers on a midnight subway train to keep an old evil at bay.
Its fucking me up so damn hard how my man actually skips the reading on the left electronic board for like everytime ._.

Also I love how you just skipped a part of the story by walking further when the broadcast said something new :D So if u didnt realize maybe: Michael who you played as had a hostage situation in a train. He did a wrong decision and all those people you see in there are the hostages who got executed. Those two ones (white shirt and the one properly dressed) seem to be the suspects since they become the ones not being blurred. After this incident he seemingly got mentally unstable and shot his wife ^^
and damn.. IGP played it 1 or 2 days ago.. this thing got some updates. Great to see it again but.. new with you going thru that hell :D
I was just thinking that and its pretty annoying because it was one of the biggest parts and he just skipped it. It really sucks that he was listening and being careful the whole time, but when a huge part that is different comes up he just skips right on over it.
I didn’t skip anything I heard it but I kept moving. Maybe because I didn’t acknowledge the talking it came across that way but I heard what he said about the kid etc

This game screams PTSD. Post Tramatic Stress Syndrome! It gives me chills knowing that many ex military, cops, and safety workers deal with things everything the radio was saying in their lives. One horrible event that keeps disturbing or shattering pieces of their reality and creating illusions for them that destroys their whole life and family 😢

PTSD stands for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, not syndrome.
Also as low as 7% of cops have PTSD. So about the same as the regular population.

@@Genvirostill happens. My old partner saw something that gave him crippling PTSD and he ended up taking his own life at 28. It's a lot lower for police because most of the time we don't see people getting blown up or a village being bombed.

The peer-reviewed studies by actual psychologists don’t agree with their findings at all. Estimates are consistently between 7-15%, depending on the study and how PTSD is defined. 65% would be absolutely absurd.

Btw, the term for a fear of everything looking at you is "Scopophobia" which is obviously combined with a massive case of schizophrenia too. Could even include megalophobia if you count the end. Its like maxing out mental illness in the character creator.

I know you love playing games with great atmosphere and immersion, I'd love to see you play "The Division" and "The Division 2". At least the first one... It's set in a post apocalyptic New York after a super virus was unleashed around Christmas time. It's such a unique idea/story. I've never seen a more atmospheric game than "The Division". And I know how you like lore and there is plenty of it in this game. From phone recordings of actual citizens in the city, to recordings of the people behind the virus itself. The story itself is decent, some would say not the best, but it's the world building that makes this game top tier for me... Everywhere you look is a body bag/body box, they mass produced in order to dispose of the dead... It's truly chilling some of the scenes and areas you go through. Not to mention, the groups of people that form in the city are some of the most brutal groups I've ever had the chance to meet... I've never had a game blow my mind, while simultaneously giving me chills and a sense of dread quite like this game did. It is a looter shooter with RPG elements. I know it's not your typical game you play, but it fits the channel aesthetic as the world they created is brutal and at some points, truly psychologically mortifying. Also, did I mention it's Co-op? You can play with Fisk, Taco, and even one more. I'd love to see you do a playthrough of this game!
I was really interested in the division but I played it and something just didn’t keep my attention 😕. I think it’s because of the amount of stuff on screen.. it kinda took away from the setting for me in some way

As a new yorker, what scares me is that this is a better designed and cleaner train than what we got in service 😂
Edit, the blue chairs feel better on the eyes rather than these orange seats we got on older trains on lines like R or the G. And NO CENTER POLES! This is heaven to a NY'er.
The blood? Ehh we got used to it and it keeps the tourists off MY subway lines.
The padlock? It keeps "SHOWTIME DANCERS" From going through the whole train and kicking people in the face and calling us "negative people" when we don't give them money for a 20 second dance I didnt ask for
I can literally smell that train. As someone who grew up in NY. That's a NYC train if I ever saw one.

I like to think this is just another perspective from train 117. Since it’s also the train from “Find Yourself”. Just different points of view.
These games kinda of remind of The House which was a flash game where you had to interact with 2 items in each level, and the more you interact the more it changes. Much more simple but same vibe I feel.

the thing i love about recent horror games is how they tend to capture the immersive perspective thru postfx and filters and still has that eye candy visuals sums up the experience. i recently tried CHORDOSIS and oh man.

Fooster, you missed what that screech was because you keep looking behind you. This style of game is meant to look and move forwards. Everytime you look behind you, you sre potentially missing something.

It's weird, I watched IGP's playthrough last night and it didn't seem as polished as your playthrough. Even so parts were missing or glitched in his. This demo looks phenomenal!

Can't wait to see more of this game! So many times you can tell it's made out of country and not dubbed very well. This game graphically as well as sound design and narration are a beautiful combination. I know I'm being super picky here, but I'd suggest the guy making this does a handful of new textures for the train cart seats, they're too clean and uniform, they distract from how realistic everything else looks. They need grime, graffiti, wear, etc.
I rarely scare. But I laughed so hard at myself for shouting when I actually got jump scared in Ark... Yeah... Ark! Hahaha! I was walking around, minding my own bussiness. Didn't hear or see a creature anywhere. I turned around to see a swarm of giant ants right in my face! 😂 Haha! I was in game with my wife and she laughed so hard when she found out what caused me to shout. Not a rex, raptor, or carno. Nope... Ants... 😂😂😂😂
Im pretty resilient when it comes to motion sickness and such. Watching this doesnt make me sick but it does make me..uncomfortable I suppose. Not quite to headache level but it overall just isnt pleasing.
