I'm using both right now for a weekly 4 person facebook livestream, love them both. Splitting hairs! Hardware failures happen, just had to have rode replace my headphones due to hardware failure, so it happens on occasion with gear regardless of the brand. Hope you reached out to have it replaced. Let me know how that went if you did, curious to see how a company responds to their product's hardware failures...!
Thanks, Mike. Good video. I have both and have used them extensively. Also the original Insta360 Links. I do a four camera live show twice a week using two original 360 links, the new 360 link 2, and the Obsbot tiny 2. My thoughts: (1) Cost aside, I think there is very little difference between the two new cameras. Both now almost as good as a ZVE-10, and MUCH less expensive. (2) I prefer the smaller size of the Obsbot tiny 2 over the 360 link 2, because I often hang them in front of a program monitor. (3) Aside from the lack of virtual effects in the original 360 link (coming via firmware update?), I otherwise prefer it (the original 360 link) because it has three gimbals - pan, tilt and horizontal; I often use that third adjustment via the software; the digital horizontal adjustment is not nearly as useful. (4) Speaking of the software, there are pros and cons to both (and I don't use the AI gestures much so haven't paid much attention to those differences, but your video was good at showing the differences). However, one feature the of the Insta360 Link controller that makes it MUCH better than the Obsbot controller is the ability to click on the preview image and dragging it to pan and tilt the camera; MUCH easier to use than the pan-tilt buttons/arrows. The earlier versions of the Insta360 link software did not have click-and-drag, so hopefully Obsbot can update their software accordingly.
@@jimmyji8086the insta360 has a sharper image and smoother tracking, the OBSBOT has richer colors and a far easier app to use. Both are great and will not disappoint, just depends on what strengths matter more to you
All in all, I prefered the insta360 out of the box. That said, I don't think you can go wrong with either of these webcams. They're are so close in comparison in either software you can adjust to your liking.
@@BacktotheRetroReview I wish the insta360 had a touch more color, felt a little too washed out…but clarity was really noticeable. If only they could have a baby. But you are soo right, both can get there with manual adjustments in their app. Just depends on what you want out of a webcam if you just want to plug it in and not mess with it when picking between the two. They are both so great 😂🤣😂
@@BacktotheRetroReview spot on! if staying in screen is more important - OBSBot, if smoothness matters and you aren’t gonna move all over the place…link 2!
Hi, I see you use Rode Unify, too. Could you tell me what the right setup is to rest my Obsbot tiny 2 microphones, please? For some reason, I can not find a mic setting to do so.
My livestreams when using the Link2 have been a little laggy when using the app at the same time for the tracking gimbal , not sure if that is just a coincidence or not yet. Need to use it for a couple more before I can say for sure….
I love both of these! But I feel for me, the image quality of the Insta360 is superior!
The level of production is top notch! you deserve more subs mate, keep doing what you love you are AWESOME!
Thanks a ton! I appreciate it! The grind is real to keep spending a lot of time to make them good and get the subs! Much love my friend!!!
My Link 2 had hardware failure in less than a month such a shame, maybe just an exception debating between the Link 2 and a Tiny 2 Lite because of it.

tiny2 was Great webcam overall, really happy to upgrade it to lite
How do these work out of the box with MS Teams without installing their companion applications?
My wife uses the meet 2, meet 4k and tiny 2 lite on her work laptop for livestreams without the software installed. Works great

I’m right there with ya!!! I do the same. I use webcams for 4 person podcast. Much easier to use and setup than mirrorless cameras.
so which of the 2 would you recommend?

Usually, one would just put all of their comments in a single reply. lol
The full body feature does not bother me.
I do think the obsbot tracks more accurate, however the 360 tracks smoother.
