One thing to also consider, if you try and focus a reflective surface the camera "sees" itself which would cause a conflict in focus distance. Try a non-reflective object and see how the focus tracks.
@@kritexz The Tiny 2 is am overall better camera and will give you better auto focus and a better picture. But for most people in the streaming realm, the Tiny 2 Lite will be more than enough!
Thank you for this video comparing the 2 models. I am leaning towards the Tiny 2 Lite but I have a question. I have a Quntis Monitor Light Bar HY214 PRO connected to the op of my monitor, will I be able to attach this webcam as well? Thanks
@@BillGillespie1952 Great question! My initial thought is not really. It's possible it may sit on it but not as well as a monitor itself. So it would be something you'd have to just test.
Great video. A question: which is the difference between the two webcams when you record a dark environment around you? (A thing I'm usually doing, yes, even if it sounds wrong.) I guess there's quite a difference in such a case, talking about noise, as you need to raise the ISO. Am I right? Thanks! Note: the dark environment is exactly why I'm thinking to buy a better webcam.
@@LoScrittoreDivergente Great question! Ultimately the Tiny 2 will give you a better picture in lower light because it has a larger sensor. But webcams in any case won't do great in low light. They'll work but without light you'll definitely be dealing with noise. But they will both work well enough to at least see you as long as there is some light on your face. Hope this helps!
@@prajvalhl Hey, that's awesome, great choice! I'm glad the review could help you make the decision. Let me know what you think once it comes in and gets all set up.
Hi friend, I'm between the Obsbot Tiny 2 and the Sony ZV-1F (with an Elgato Cam Link) for streaming. I usually use a green screen. Which one do you recommend more? I'm considering it because Obsbot does have more comprehensive software. Regards.
It really depends on what you would need most for both these cameras. If you're using Green Screen, they will both do great but the Sony ZV-1F is probably going to ultimately have the higher quality image. However, you're losing all the functionality the Tiny 2 offers in it's PTZ and tracking features. But for a green screen, that may not matter.
@@cabisports It definitely going to be simpler to go with the webcam. It's designed to be used in that capacity. But the ZV-1F will be a better picture and more advanced auto focus. But in your case, the savings in money on the Tiny 2 and the simplicity may actually be the way ro go.

@@piotrgraniszewski8544 Yeah, I know. I've just called it I.S.O. ever since I first heard about it years ago so I still tend to call it that without thinking sometimes. Lol
@@EagleGarrett: no, what I mean in theory is that given the same aperture, ISO 100 in camera A should give the same exposure value as ISO 100 in camera B, no matter the sensor size. Sure, there may be more noise as a result in the smaller sensor, because the signal needs to be amplified further. In practice there can be substantial differences, however.
@@piotrgraniszewski8544 Ohh, I got ya. Yeah, that's why I mentioned it though, there was a difference in ISO performance between these two. It took about 400 more ISO to achieve the same appearance in the Tiny 2 Lite as it did in the Tiny 2. Something to note as that will of course effect the noise level as well which changes the overall image produced.
I was liking both cameras until I heard about the AI feature, AI is never allowed to view my face for the same reasons no one is allowed to digitize my DNA or any biometrics.
