Great info for the spring. I am going to plant turnips and see what happens. You can also freeze turnip greens after washing and chopping. In my culture, we enjoy them like collards, but we also chop the turnip into the pot. Very good. I am going to look into the chard and bok choy and perhaps add that next spring or fall.
Omg Alley (sorry if I misspelled your name), I missed you! I was just thinking about you the other day and was wondering if you were okay. So glad your back!
@reneejaurewui5808 thank you! 😊I’ve mostly had issues with flea beetles, aphids, and one year I had lots of caterpillars munching on the leaves of my plants. Every year is different for me, but I check on my plants every day, morning and night. Last year I had an aphid infestation on my kale and pepper plants. I try to remove any pests that I can by hand, or blast them with water. Another option is to trim the entire leaf and discard it if it’s badly infested. If the problem gets bad enough, I use an all-natural pest spray and apply this every day until the aphids were gone. This solution worked really well last year and didn’t impact my plants and their growth at all.
excellent!
Thanks Mike!

Thanks so much! 🌱
