- Thanks to Capcom I got the chance to play Dragon's Dogma II early for a total of 3 hours on PS5! Having soaked a healthy bit of time into exploration and combat across two different classes, the Magick Archer and Mystic Spearhand, I have a bunch to share on how this game manages to capture the feeling of the original while building upon the framework to take it to a whole other level, leaving me extremely excited for the full game in just another couple weeks. Dragon's Dogma II releases March 22nd, on PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC.

I just want better graphics and easier way to heal myself other than that dragon's dogma was an excellent game it just needed to be polished and turned into a AAA experience.

I'm still not sure how to feel about the vocation tally. Mystic Spearhand looks great though.
Yeah, I'm very curious also about the Warfarer, the promise of huge moveset but low stats sounds like it could be a ton of fun. Otherwise though, unless they have some more to reveal, Mystic Spearhand is def at the top of my list right now
@NextSideQuest I think it was Gamespot that had Itsuno confirm the ten vocations.
Certainly makes the colour choices and borders of the vocation designs bizarre if there aren't expansions on them.

If you could only choose one game releasing on March 22, what are you going with? Dragon’s Dogma 2 or Rise of the Ronin. I’m absolutely torn.
SAME. I'm definitely curious about Ronin, at this rate though Dragon's Dogma is a bit more my speed personally. I don't *love* Team Ninja's Soulslikes, and Ronin looks like it's heading in a direction more my style, but I LOVED the first Dragon's Dogma so this sequel is something I've been waiting over a decade on.
...somewhere in there I'll also burn through Princess Peach Showtime hah
@@NextSideQuest I’m with you on not LOVING Team Ninja Souls-likes (only because I suck at them), but I absolutely love Japanese history & have been enjoying the new FX/Hulu tv series Shogun recently. I believe both are set during the same Edo period, so it’d be a way of getting to live the tv show almost. Then again DD would certainly scratch an itch for me right now too. Good luck finding time for the 🍑 I’m sad to admit that my Switch has been dusty for a few years now.
Dragon dogma 2. I waited for 12 years. Ronin, felt like an open world nioh. To be honest, teamninja aren't great with their environments design. It always bland.
@@kg888 only thing I worry about for Dragon’s Dogma 2 is the fact that many people have the wrong impression about what the game is going to be like because they never played the first one and assume it’s Skyrim meets Elden Ring. Ronin will be Team Ninja’s first open world I believe. Maybe they’ll nail it.

Yeah I feel like even though it's a early build it'll still be around 30 hoping we get a patch or at least a performance mode for console

Nothing officially announced, and I don't see what I played being turned into one. Capcom has done some demos in the past though so it's totally possible. They do also have an online event going on later this week so maybe we'll get news there!
The first game had a great demo, so I do hope DD2 gets one

In someone’s gameplay showcase, we saw the title screen and it showed, “go to PlayStation store option” which only public demos tend to have. I think you will get a demo
There are Capcom events on the 7th and 11th. The demo will surely be announced at one of those events, and will probably release soon after.
I enjoyed the video! The first game was too hard for me. Does the difficulty level seem to be similar?
Itsuno said in an interview a bit back that the goal was slightly harder than the first.
the first one is ez if u know what to do, barrel glitch gets u 2nd best weapons game, or for sorceror the gorecyclops drops hallowed dragon u can kill him with maelstrom hiding at the stairs

does the game have dodge/evade mechanism?
Depends which class you choose. The ones that don't have an evade, instead have some form of defense like blocking, parry, counter, or magic shield.
Forcing everybody to play either Mystic Spearhand or Magick Archer is a weird marketing choice.
They should focus on the Fighter more if they actually want to bolster sales. That's the class that would draw in a bigger playerbase.
I'm pretty sure everyone on youtube playing certain classes like Rogue almost exclusively in DD1 or DD2 when they get the choice is one of the factors contributing in that franchise remaining "niche".
Magick Archer and Mystic Spearhand are not gonna make this much better.
They probably picked those to showoff the "flashy" nature of the combat or they were the only 2 that were 100% done when they made the demo.

Your character looks like the default male preset from the first game.
Targeting a 30fps on console and if you think your PC will help they are targeting 30fps on a freaking 4080. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂RIP
