    I've had BW for 2+ years and Love it!!! Have a 26' C and tow, I have used over 30. I love going out of the way places and haven't met anyone who wasn't nice. It's less frustrating if you use the filters and not on a strict route. I like HH to, but not my first choice. Don't like paying to have no hookup. Museums are my favorite. Safe travels.

      Welcome to two bears and thanks for your comment. HH we do “event”, museums and wineries locations. We feel we get the biggest bang for the buck and usually a great night sleep too. Us being 29’ makes BW a bit more difficult.

      Welcome to Two Bears and thanks for the comment. We do our best to be fair and honest with all our reviews especially when it comes to RV staying because that is a major cost and concern for any and all full time travelers.

    You seem to have the most honest believable review. All other UA-camrs made it sound super awesome, life saving.

      We value honest fact based reviews and strive to present that with all our content. There is always two sides to all stories, I hope we were able to present a balanced review. There are very rare instances where we will represent something as “awesomely life changing” but if we thought it has positive merits we will explain why.

    Thanks for the heads up. We have considered Boondocks Welcome in the past. The membership was a lot cheaper then. Although $79.00 isn't bad, we have an A class and we tow a car, so we need larger accommodations. It might be worth it, if you have a smaller rig (like you said) Were considering selling our house to build/buy a smaller home with acreage as a home base. We would like to have room for a few camping sites with full hook up. Not sure how we would advertise though. Just a dream. Great video Jonathan and Randy. Loved the content. Thanking you for sharing your honest opinion.

      I think Harvest Host would be a better fit for you too but don’t add the BW add on. If down the road you think about hosting consider looking into HipCamp.

    Thanks for the video and you convinced me not to join boondockers welcome...so thanks for the honest review! One thing that might improve your videos is to make eye contact with the camera lens. The guy in the brown shirt might be looking at a monitor and the one in the blue shirt looks into the lens of the camera sometimes? Anyway both of you might want to consider looking into the camera at all times. However you both gave out great information! Thank you!

    Thanks for the honest review, the service popped up randomly in my YT recommendations and sounded nice at first. That said, I tow a 26' TT with a long-bed TV. Total combined is over 40' and sounds like this would be a terrible situation. Was just hopping for another overnight option. HH is alright, but I'm not always looking to buy something during an overnight. Guess I'll stick to the traditional overnights.

      Welcome to the Two Bears family and I am glad you found us. With a Rig +, that is your size it might not be the best fit and that is one of the reasons we felt we needed to do the video. We want to be honest and give facts that will help our viewers. I hope you checked out our Harvest Host video as well there are some facts “suggestions” regarding stays and buying that we share.
      Glad you found us hope you subscribe and enjoy some of our other videos as well.

    Thanks for the honest review. I can see people playing games especially he way you explained it. I’m 21’ so that may help. I debated becoming one since I’m outside Wash DC with power, water and Wi-Fi but I’m not very level. Really nose down when you back in. 😢 but great honest review 👍🏼

      We are all about honest, fact driven reviews. Check out our DC review. We could see a need for BW Hosts in or near DC. We max out locations with 29’ Randy knows how to back in, no problem, but level would be a big issue

    As a host I would have to say that some of your information is out of date. I would greatly like to give my take to you on this topic especially considering the unfortunate changes since harvest hosts/boondockers welcome changed hands

    I have been looking up these review videos because I have been thinking about Signing up as a host for HH or BW. We have a farm in the country though, and the road isn't the best?? We have family camp outs all the time but most of the family has tents or pop up campers.

    I will be pulling a 20' trailer with a full size pick up truck. I'm quite capable of driving and maneuvering. But, I'm not into playing games and when I set up my route I don't like to divert. And if boondockers welcome throw those curve balls at you you could be wasting fuel and wear and tear on your rigs. So I guess I won't be investing in boondockers welcome.

    I see a lot of host playing games and aren't active although they show they have availability but then say they are not going to be there during that time (all multiple attempts with the same host) and I'm sure they are lying. Also, so so so many are 20 feet only so even a 22 ft extended van won't fit. I keep getting more frustrated with the boondockers welcome than anyone should have too. Ugh.

      Welcome to Two Bears and thanks for the comment/review. One thing we didn’t say in the video was that after a host approves 4 guests then only have to approve 33% of all requests. BW isn’t customer hospitality focused.
      Sad to hear from you that even an extended van has problems. Hope you enjoy Harvest Host but BW add on doesn’t seem a good fit for you. Frustration shouldn’t be the Experience you remember.

    I think you two have literally talked me out of becoming a host, dealing with ungrateful folks like yourselves would ruin it for me in no time. $10 a night for electricity , your lack of planning , carrying no cash on the road, and then complaining about the host. Pulling a huge rig that will use a good amount of electricity. This video was worth watching just to have a discussion about the type of people we may encounter, when I mean type , I mean folks that think paying $79 - $99 a year for a membership that will save you possible a one night stay fee, is too expensive, really , obviously your profession was not in accounting.

      @garysanchezphotography Рік тому +1

      OK Troll, they didn't complain about any host, just the quality of the site. If your site sucks, expect bad reviews, the bears were much easier than they could have been.

      @@garysanchezphotography I think you may need to re watch the video, they were specifically complaining about the host charging money for the electric. They did not have the require cash. No trolling here, I think you may want to look in the mirror.

    • @garysanchezphotography
      @garysanchezphotography Рік тому +4

      @@triadholstersllc7289LLC They did not trash anyone personally. And, if a host doubles the advertised price and cannot accept a digital payment like nearly everyone else, they deserve to be called out. Troll!

    You lost me with the upcharge for electric and you didn't have extra cash. We have used this program for years and love it and we do full-time in 34' a class a. I do agree with your bitching about losing your discounts.

    • @twobearstrekking
      @twobearstrekking  6 місяців тому

      Thank you for your comment. I do believe that you missed the point regarding the charge for electric. They listed a cost in the listing, then tried to charge twice as much upon arrival. That wasn’t the only misinformation in their listing either.
