Nice review. We use Harvest Hosts / Boondockers Welcome frequently and are very happy with the program. We often adjust our route to be able to stay at one of their locations. While the breweries/wineries/restaurants are fun, we really enjoy staying at farms. They're usually quiet and we enjoy being around the animals.

We will get more confident as we go, but this makes us feel better! We would definitely lean toward the farms too! 😁 Thanks for watching!

Happy to have found your channel and enjoy the content. Thank you! It's interesting to hear your perspective on HH as full-timers. As weekenders, HH is more of a destination for us. We book a host in-state a few days before the weekend when the weather looks good. It gives us a impromptu place to go for food, drink and live music without taking vacation from work. Getting to overnight in our rig and meet other camping couples staying at the host is a bonus.

That’s incredible! We did something similar prior to going full time. Isn’t there something about just getting OUT of the house for a bit? Even for a weekend?
      Safe travels!

@@RVUntethered Thank you! You've described it perfectly. It is a nice way to spend the weekend out, enjoy the RV, meet other HH members, and support local business all at the same time.

We use Harvest Host often. Living in the Tampa Fl. area,we did a trip to Yellowstone and back. We used HH around 8 times, stopping at some state parks for a few days to empty and refill the tanks. The majority of the HH we stayed at were within a few miles along our route. We only ran our generator about 8 hours during the night.

That’s impressive! We will get more confident in it as we go along (we’ve stayed at a couple more since then).
      Safe travels!

Great video! Probably the best I've watched so far when it. Regards, harvest host and things to keep in mind. Looking forward to seeing more content

We have stayed away from both offerings. We have a 45' DP that is low to the ground so we are not getting into people's driveway or street parking. I also can't see us spending extra money on dinners or wine or golfing ( I golf a lot though) after spending the money for the membership. Also, like you said, you probably have to drive a ways off the beaten path.

I don’t blame you! It can potentially add stress to a trip, although we have been having good luck with it recently. Although new, we have seen both good and challenging areas already. I suspect that we will be considering this every year.
      Safe travels!

Our first year we did pay for harvest host and never stayed in one! Missed the pups.

We were one month away from wasting it. We are doing a bit more now, so we’ll see how that goes.

This was wonderful you made some great points. We love Harvest Host been doing it for 5 years now and luckily you can lock in your rates. We are doing about 5 to 10 of them this summer so far. Loved you adding the pool shot especially hitting the 1 ball. If Ron Smoked me he would have had to mention it too. Safe Travels and great video!

Well you pretty much covered Harvest Host. Not so much on the Boondockers Welcome. A lot of guests don't know the difference and think it is all Harvest Hosts and the sad part is Harvest Host does not do as much as they could and or should to educate present or would-be members as to the differences and expectations. One guest we had thought we were Harvest Host. When we said we were Boondockers Welcome they responded, what is that.

We had the program that included both Harvest Host and Boondockers Welcome, so we had access to both options. I believe we failed to make that distinction in this video though.
It's a pretty great program, but we have shut it off just recently. Maybe we will turn it back on in the future, but it just didn't work great for our needed week stays.

My plan on installing the Life04 batteries is to place them behind the wall in the pass through where their is plenty of wasted space. I need to clean it up as it looks like a rats nest under there.
