Education stands on three legs: good school, good teacher, good family. Nothing good kung hirap ang bayan. Kawawang Pinas. Kudos sa guest speaker, puts a lot of elected public officials to shame. Your last graph was very telling.

Salamat SA napapanahong pagtalakay Ng malaking suliranin sa edukasyon. Tama ang pagbigay Ng diin sa early education, kawawa ang NASA probinsya na nakaraang SA mga daycare workers ang trabahong Ito. Halos walang budget at walang training. Wala ring batayang kaalaman paano magturo sa kinabukasan Ng Bansa..

The government should create a reward mechanism that will reward the teachers who had a positive impact on the students in terms of learning

This will just create competition and favoritism. Not a good idea lalo na masyadong talamak ang padrino system sa bansa.
Ang kailangan ayusin ay ang job hiring. Hire with the proper subject and grade specialization, hindi dapat vague yun job posting.

''Not all of them are actually learning...' Maybe parents should plan before deciding to have kids: sapat ba ang family income para mapakain ng husto ang mga anak? May stable job ba ang mga parents bago magkaroon ng anak?

Walang textbook... Mayroong bagong curriculum pero walang libro ... Walang learning resources..

Students nowadays like higher grades even without effective learning. kinokonsente ng magulang, nagrereklamo sa grade kahit hindi naman deserve. Nababawasan ang effort ng estudyante na magperform sa school, because of that system na bawal mambagsak si teacher unless na may intervention

Well, if there's an issue with logistics of the textbooks, why not digitalize them so that they can be readily available? It is more efficient and sensible.

As far as I know English is the medium of instruction in PH schools in spite of it being so most Filipinos are far from being fluent at it

To be honest in HS there are students who acted like elementary students, very playful.

The quality of teacher training institutions…seasoned teachers /administrators like me see this as a factor ,too..by extension..applicants in those institutions..some landed as teachers because they didnt qualify in their ist choice of college..There should be more teacher training colleges like PNU which is a center for excellence in teacher training..from aspiring teacher applicants selection ..to training…Indeed,”No other profession so fundamentally affects the health of a nation as education.” - From a former U.S sec of Education

The education problems in pinas are too obvious. The lack of well-trained reachers, the lack of classrooms, the lack of modern educational tools, the lack of proper washrooms, the lack of proper nutrition, the lack of involvement with the parents, etc. The department of education is almost a trillion pesos. How is it accounted for.
