    Good job, always keep the waypoints saved. Like you said, it's a lot of time collecting those so sure don't want to lose them. One thing I do when I'm fun fishing or preparing for a tournament is save a new file to my SD card at the end of each day. I'm always looking for new brushpiles or other items on the lake that I want to make a waypoint. And I try to delete waypoints if the item is gone. A lot of people on Lanier move brushpiles so I update location anytime I find a change. One of the reasons people move the brushpiles is to "freshen them up". Moving knocks loose the sediment that collects on anything underwater so when they move them a few feet the sediment will get washed off. The brushpile will usually attract fish better after it is "cleaned off". Great job, thanks for sharing. Take care and good luck on Guntersville.

      I've heard that people move them. I always thought it was just to throw off the competition lol. Great info! Thanks for sharing the knowledge!

    Really appreciate you Ryan, I've been going to Cabalas, and other sporting good stores and playing around with these units I will be confident in using the HUMMINGBIRD UNITS, and that's who I would like to stay with, depending on finances. THANKS again, and my bad, I thought that Lake G-Ville was last weekend, keep me posted.

    Ryan- great video! Just what I needed.
    I have 3 head units. 1 boat network. After I “clean up” waypoints and get them on the SD card. ….i should be able to load on one of my console units and it can be seen on all 3 units? Or do I need to load on all 3?

    • @MoneyBass
      @MoneyBass  9 місяців тому

      Thanks for watching and supporting the channel. I load the SD card/waypoints into one unit because they are networked. That unit has to stay on to see the waypoints on the other screen.

      Very good. I had a helix 10 and now have added 2 helix 12 and a mega live. I have a ton of waypoints from finding and marking fish I don’t need and are just clutter. So I’ve been trying to figure out the best way to clean these up. I just fish my one lake. But it’s messy! lol. Need to clean it up so I can do it all over again!

    Can you see your waypoints on the humminbird PC with google earth? Can’t get mine to work. Shows earth maps but can’t waypoints to show up. Had windows 10 now 11. Neither has worked.

      Yes, my waypoints show up on google earth. I've never experienced an issue with that. Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling google earth? I think i use Google Earth Pro.

    • @cowboyjack570
      @cowboyjack570 Рік тому

      Yes. I even clicked the earth link from HB. Tried both earth and pro. I’m not sure if tech support still offers help for that. Thought I heard they don’t support PC after Covid. I need to check again

      @@cowboyjack570 I would definitely give Humminbird tech support a call. They may have a simple solution. Sounds like something in the settings.

    Great job Ryan, I noticed on drop down menu there is a hide choice. Can certain waypoints be hidden or is that all only?

    • @MoneyBass
      @MoneyBass  2 роки тому

      You can hide them all and there is an option to "declutter". If you turn it on it will remove the special icon you have selected. Try selecting an individual waypoint and it will show you all of the available options.

      @@MoneyBass Thanks for the response but after hitting the menu button once my only choice is to clear CURRENT track. I still have the "historical" tracks (very light grey color) on my map and it's getting bothersome with so many there. If any other hints I'm all ears - and thanks again for the response.

    Ryan before downloading way points from google earth onto my SD card do I need to encrypt the SD card first?

    • @MoneyBass

    When you go to upload your waypoints for the lake your fishing do you upload them just into your console unit or all of them? And when you go to transfer new waypoints you've marked while fishing on the particular lake do u need to save all graphs to that lake SD card when your done?

    • @MoneyBass
      @MoneyBass  2 роки тому

      When I upload my waypoints to fish a new lake all waypoints have been removed from all units first. I then place the sd card with the waypoints for the lake I'm going to fish in the console unit. All units on the network share those waypoints.
      Each unit has its own sd card and I save waypoints to the card in the unit. Those waypoints are then saved on my computer and backed up to the card specified for that lake. Hope that helps.
