_"I hate my job!!"_ My guess is it's the usual metanarrative hooey about the player character being the true bad guy and you're just destroying the world, yadda yadda...
She IS in distress. The game's lore states there were 5 original gods, of which the Queen is the descendant. There was a power-hungry sixth god who wanted to take down the other 5 and he corrupted the land of Sarana with darkness, the act of which made the gods and the Queen decide to use their divine powers to lift part of the land into the sky in order to save it. This "lifted" land became Penumbra. However even though Penumbra was high up and isolated, the darkness managed to infect the whole land and eventually the Queen herself. While infected, she made her 3 Great Knights (Sirion, Samael and Beira) kill three of the gods that were in their temples; in doing so, the Knights and a lot more of Penumbra became even more infested with shadow. It's possible that the "darkness" in her title came more from her influence under the Shadow infection than her actual powers of light. Umbra is the "warrior of light and shadow," and the only one capable enough to free Penumbra from the infection by killing the Queen. The beginning of the game even implies there were several thousand attempts to create warriors before him but they ended up being mistakes, dying from either battle or the incorrect composition of light (the divine "Fire" of which Von claims he and Umbra were created in the DLC) and shadow (using some of the corruption likely as a method to withstand the Queen, in a similar vein to "Hollow Knight," where the Knight and thousands of their siblings were partially created from Void as a means to withstand the Radiance's infection). It's unfortunate that the Queen got a raw deal, but by defeating her, you both end her suffering and save all of Penumbra. The DLC puts this in an even darker point of view too
Have you planned on returning to cross code since a new home dlc just launched? Several updates happened since last video, adding a bunch of new bosses for you to make look super easy.
I was lucky that the real Queen appeared near me. But you can also tell initially which one is real and which are fakes. Real Queen has 4 arms, but fakes only have 2.
Im gettin some wind waker vibes from this, looks cool
Same, but also some botw vibes with the apparent "malice" covering some of the walls.
Hollow Knight: *Sees Legend of Zelda The Windwaker sitting nearby* "So, you come here often?"
why do i feel like this game has some jacked up lore; with the queen of darkness using light-based attacks and seeming to be screaming in distress?
yeah, i want to know what those cutscene runes translate to

Seems like the game has pretty decent bosses.
Good video man...
And also, i am not sure, but the game reminds me like a fusion of a hat in time and the legend of zelda, breath of the wild...
This game has been mixed with hollow knight and breath of a wild.
Whoa! I love how the fights make use of platforming
that was both interesting and short loved it
I think there are multiple endings in this game because I saw the video blue fire ending and at the end the whole tower exploded.
I did all the side stuff so that might be why my ending is different.
You're god.
never heard of this but looks cool
I read the first boss’s title as “Guardian Bruh”
it was the right choice to subscribe
It's Wind waker ninja edition. lol I still want to get this one though
Oh god, they gave Toon Link crack and a second sword.
He done killed Bruh!

I was lucky that the real Queen appeared near me. But you can also tell initially which one is real and which are fakes. Real Queen has 4 arms, but fakes only have 2.
