Spidertopus, cj is correct because you can literally go to hell in gungeon. and doom in not a bullet hell. you can shoot bullets in hell but its not a bullet hell game.
I am dex based, but not range build. Scimitars only. It's called dodging, and it's extremely easy to do once you have the rhythm down. Ever since Demon's Souls. My builds have always been dex and intelligence. Purely scimitars. You can't PvP with it, cause everyone uses heavy armor and shields, but it's difficult enough outside of PvE. If you ask me, the real b$&@ players, as you put it, are the ones that go high vit, and wear super heavy armor with a ultra weapon, then just tank everything.

Also You seem to have unlimited amounts of time and patience with how many of these things you've done.... Just how? How in the name of hell have you done so many almost impossible games?
Gungeon's bosses are all intended to be done flawlessly, they even drop an item that is damn near needed to win without good luck, they are the few health ups in the game. The only boss I am that impressed he flawlessed was the Lich, the pasts are all a lot easier than you'd think and the Dragun can be pretty cheesed with good usage of blanks.
When you struggle with beginning bosses... And then you see this xD GG man, that's insanely impressive. Haven't played this game in a pretty long time, I feel like I need to get back to it someday.
All these references to all sorts of stuff just puts a wide smile on my face. I hope you had as much fun playing the game as I did watching you kick it's ass!
Has anyone ever thought about just how dire the consequences are for a linear timeline for most of the characters if you "kill their past"? Ignoring the fact that it causes a paradox because each person removes the very reason they would have ever gone to the Gungeon in the first place... Pilot: Saves wingman, but kills dozens if not hundreds of Hedgemony personel including a Commodore (far more people removed from timeline). Hunter: Prevents capture and experimentation and stops mad scientist's experiments. However this is done nearly 1,200 years in the past; presenting dire "Butterfly Effect" implications. Convict: Prevents going to jail, but shoots up a nightclub killing a crooked cop, multiple perfectly legit Hegemony Enforcement Officers (comparitively), and several innocent civilians (via crossfire). Soldier: Prevents being branded a coward, but saves a Hedgemony Research Base and dozens of scientists and marines to say nothing of any others the dimensional horror(adding a bunch of people to the timeline - remember we're not arguing positive or negative per se, just magnitude of timeline altering...though this one might be the most justified). Robot: Prevents failing its programming, but guarentees the extermination of all human life of at least one world. Bullet: Relevant to his home planet, so I'll let it slide (beyond the obvious paradox) True Ending: The Player Character erases the Litch and by proxy both the Gungeon AND "The Gun" from time...once again creating a paradox. Fun game, but damnit it hurts my autism.
tnerb tnerb The true Ending causes a time loop, as the bullet you fired? That’s the one that causes the creation of the Gungeons. And two words to solve the paradoxes: Alternate timelines.
Strictly speaking though... it's not ENTIRELY a paradox. While you might technically not have the means for the event to happen it doesn't change the fact you suddenly have an instantiated moment with more knowledge. You aren't creating any new items in the timeline in and of itself. You're still you as you are right now, just imagine suddenly having knowledge for seemingly no reason. The game is quite good, but if you havent had much experience with bullet hell games in the past, it will be quite frustrating. It also has a few flaws, the biggest one for me being that if you dont have a good room clear and boss weapon by floor 3-4, the game gets really, really difficult, as the standard pistol starts taking multiple magazines just to kill a single enemy, this depends a bit on the character but it can still be pretty brutal. Such is RNG though. Some of the bosses are really unbalanced IMO. The floor 3 cthulu boss IMO is way more difficult compared to say, cannonbalrog or the tank. Same thing with floor 4, wallmonger can be super difficult if you dont know the trick or a death sentence if you lack a high damage weapon since failing to kill it before it hits the end means instant death. Thirdly the game is quite rare on drops in my experience, I find you have to go to the shop more frequently to buy items you need compared to say, the Binding of Isaac. It's not uncommon to go through whole floors without having enough keys. It is a very very good game though, great soundtrack, world design, weapon selection, and its fun when its not screwing you over :P id definitely grab it
The Cthulhu boss (it's more a Mind Flayer from D&D but whatever) is pretty intimidating at first, but if you know what to do and are able to read his tells (he telegraphs EVERYTHING he does) he's quite simple. The most important thing is: keep your distance from him. Most of his attacks are unavoidable if you're close. If you lack long range weapons, your moment to strike is when he starts spinning and throwing mines around.
I do "Payday Runs", you give yourself all the Payday items with MTG and play the game normally, I am good but the furthest I would get would probably de C4 thanks to my luck with guns

im a whole fucking 27 minutes into the video and ive literally only just realised that its called enter the GUNgeon because of the sheer amount of fucking _guns_
As one who has played this game quite a bit and seen all the crazy stuff it throws at you I'm SERIOUSLY impressed at the fact that you not only beat the lich without any heath upgrades, but you also did it without good weaponry (which puts you at a serious disadvantage even with excellent items). Serious props to you man!! Also, do you just play the games you do videos on for the videos or do you actually play them for enjoyment?
I found because of Touhou (recommended video), so there's that. Everything new or unfamiliar will be compared to the familiar. It's just how people are. The key is to back up and see the thing for itself--and this looks pretty sweet!
Unrestrained Slur, i think he just put the wrong time label, cuz i'm pretty sure he was talking about Cannon, the boss after Agunim. Cannon is clearly based on Ganon.
I just realized that the bullet's past is just a huge Legend Of Zelda Link To The Past reference. EDIT: Actually it's more of an all around reference, but still Legend Of Zelda all the same.
It's difficult to explain the difference between ripping something off and an homage, but let me tell you: That Link to the Past segment was DEFINITELY an homage, and it was AMAZING!!! (Especially once you realize that the character LOST to Cannon, and that was what he regretted!)
I’m just amazed at the amount of gun puns (especially the visual ones). Like, ammoconda? Eye of the beholster? Fucking fantastic. And then you have just. Dragun. It’s a dragon with a gun. A dragun. Amazing.
52:28 nuh uh uh what? how did you not get hit by the bullet. i though you're invincible for only the first half of the dodge and that was definitely the end of the dodge
Pear哥 why do you compare touhou to a roguelike game ? Or you are too stupid to understand that both games are different from eachother and both are hard in their ways -_-
Because both games have similar mechanics: bullet hells, screen clear with bombs/Blanks, the initial intent for the game to be beaten without getting hit once. For some people, that's more than enough to make a comparison. Remembering the differencies between the two is essencial, though.
So no one notices how the cannon boss is basically a zelda link to the past boss. Mans litterally had the whole similar zelda cutscene and abilities. I love it!
So did I, but the music just didn't feel right. Cannon's sound effects had a lot of 16 or 8 bit-ness to them, not sure which, but it would have been a super neat thing if they maybe chiptune-ified the soundtrack for the fights against Agunhim and Cannon, just for some added flair. Other than that though? It was pretty rad to fight Cannon and Agunhim. Especially with the joke being that the Gun that can kill the past is a Link to the Past.
the high priest is just pure bs. most random and annoying boss in the game. he kills every single run. oyu got extremely lucky in the fight and should have been hit atleast 6 times
wait hold on. 12:20. you can avoid the Gorgun's stare just by looking away? i thought you had to dodge roll it...

@@turretboi to be fair, the japanese like their games fast and fucking insane.
I found because of Touhou (recommended video), so there's that.
Everything new or unfamiliar will be compared to the familiar. It's just how people are. The key is to back up and see the thing for itself--and this looks pretty sweet!
@Cunhão Feio Caramba, tem BR em todo lugar kkk
52:24 this Ganondorf xD
53:58 damn that was a real Zelda reference xD
Kinda disappointed they didn't name him "Gunnon" or "Gunon" instead. :D
Not Ganondorf, Agahnim. He's from a Link to the Past.
Unrestrained Slur, i think he just put the wrong time label, cuz i'm pretty sure he was talking about Cannon, the boss after Agunim. Cannon is clearly based on Ganon.
ITEMA Michelle The hero stabbing him in the head at the end of Cannon's fight was a reference to windwaker.
Ohey, you actualy did it? Awesome, now i can look up how to beat the bosses, thanks~
20:33 wall of flesh
23:00 lunatic culist
23:55 lunar pillars
34:17 YHARON
wow
terria refrence
For those who don't know
When you were fighting GorGun you were so close to getting poisoned
I mean Gorgun is pretty easy so it wouldn’t be to hard to do it again
Did anyone expect the interdimensional horror to be an lovecraftian type thing?
MFNminerdz no, just a doom reference
he did not ask what it is, he just wanted to know if anyone expected something different
mine flayer is a lovecraftian type thing
and also the most obviou
stop asking such bullshit.
MFNminerdz Yeah i did and i think it somewhat was.
Mixed in with a little bit of Doom in the setting ofcourse.
Loved the Zelda reference with the bullet kin's past. BRILLIANT Gungeon devs!
2:00 is this the pootis birb?
Derp ,The Baked Potato. yes also poot spencer here
YEEEEE
**Explodes.**
i like people gameplaying retro game's + no damage, love your vids
I would joke and say that you forgot the ending to the cultust, but its such a silly ending that it isn't necessary.
I think we can all agree that the (puts up a french accent) Ser, Manuel (accent stops) is the most difficult one.
you killed the gungeon
now nobody else can play :c
They really had a Quad-Laser gun with enormous-sized slow-ass bullet ammo. Nice.
I only just noticed that in the convicts past there's a reference to hotline Miami
_Get to car!_
I was waiting for this...
The Legends were true afterall.
The Lead God can be achieved...
I just realized that the bullet's past is just a huge Legend Of Zelda Link To The Past reference.
EDIT: Actually it's more of an all around reference, but still Legend Of Zelda all the same.
There's more references to the ALTTP, the Kill Pillars seem to be based on the Armos Knights. Movements are similar, and the pinch phase is the same!
Also, Cannon !
It's really just a Ganon !
The Gungeon if fully loaded with references to lot of things.
It's difficult to explain the difference between ripping something off and an homage, but let me tell you: That Link to the Past segment was DEFINITELY an homage, and it was AMAZING!!! (Especially once you realize that the character LOST to Cannon, and that was what he regretted!)
I get the pun for the Trigger Twins:
Trigger Happy and Triggered
i got it 8 seconds before looking at this
Oh my god you are RIGHT! 😃
@@fahadking5553 Thanks fahadking5553
@@NotAimbotThe for what?
The first phase of Lich reminds me of #1 from Afro Samurai !
Impressiv skills my boi !
The touhou practice simulator
Pear哥 why do you compare touhou to a roguelike game ? Or you are too stupid to understand that both games are different from eachother and both are hard in their ways -_-
Because both games have similar mechanics: bullet hells, screen clear with bombs/Blanks, the initial intent for the game to be beaten without getting hit once. For some people, that's more than enough to make a comparison.
Remembering the differencies between the two is essencial, though.
12:20 shiiit! I never knew you could avoid that attack by just looking away!
44:02 Is his pose from doom?
44:32 OH i recognize that demon from doom i guess
I never realized you just had to look the other way when The Gorgun shoots that clear ring. Very good to know.
I need your hands...
What caught my eye was the beefy bird SQUAKING LIKE A MAN and flexing with a mini gun
When gellot beats all bosses in the gungeon with no hit
Gellot: I see no god up here
Other than me
So no one notices how the cannon boss is basically a zelda link to the past boss. Mans litterally had the whole similar zelda cutscene and abilities. I love it!
thanks for the future insight into playing this game, I will try to apply this when I play it for the first time!
Love the Zelda reference.
2:04 "What is the most dangerous bird?"
the high priest is just pure bs. most random and annoying boss in the game. he kills every single run. oyu got extremely lucky in the fight and should have been hit atleast 6 times
I beat him in my first attempt only because I had the disintegrator. He left me on half a heart.
He’s not that hard...
the kill pillars really put the "bullet" in "bullet hell"
I did a no hit in the Gorgun the first time I fighted her lol, bullet king is harder
