really appreciate this video & love how you ask right out the gate "what do you do on a day to day basis?" alot of ppl don't ask themselves that when making a toon. I as well have a Breton Templar Paladin build & have been using that build for years & it works for me 100% & I also have been judged because of that but it works for me so that's all that matters. great video!!

We haven't seen a Wood Elf companion either and you added yet another cat. Also, in a PVE focused game, no one cares about PVP, which only ends up in griefing and gankfests, raids are a thing very few people experience. Romance is more wanted than Devs think IMO, is it really hard to add something simple like Skyrim Romance? In unmodded Skyrim, the vanilla romance is pretty basic.

It doesnt help that its also pushed on us by the community that only DK or Necro can tank. Zos could scale damage to monsters based on armor value or max health, that would allow tanks to do damage without having to change too much.

used to love templar tanking vet dunegons with the tormentor and swarm mother sets, charge everything and have ranged get pulled to me because of the swarm set, basically played like a paladin tank from WoW, don't bother since the tormentor nerf, kinda hardly play the game because of it tbh.

I think they will wait for the 15 years Skyrim anniversary for a Skyrim expention, I would like to see them go outside of tamariel. And start building new lore instead of recycling old lore. Im more exited about the new system we will have!

Yeah, effectively quit tanking dungeons cause of this. Used this with exp charge and swarm mother set, charge everything, and quickly pull stragglers to you, had cruisy vet dungeon runs with friends and pugs.

I completely agree. The overland content is facerolling everything. Pisspoor easy. We realy need more challenging solo content for overland stuff. I remember Everquest 2 eventually implementing a heroic option for all the zones. THAT was absolutely fantastic !!!! That made me play and enjoy the game soooo much more. I miss that in ESO. We need that option too for ESO.

I know it will most likely never happen but imagine they took us to Akavir? Maybe an island off the coast. Or maybe even the home of the sea elves? The thought of exploring the rest of nirn just sounds super cool to me and I see it having a better chance happening in ESO than one of the solo games

I just got back into the game a week ago and the hybridization really did a number on me. I just got to champion level 157 today so it's not a meta chaser issue. Even as a casual, my Khajit Stamplar looked and played like a Saracen paladin, while my mag templar would either be the usual healer cleric or a damage dealing sun/divine mage. Now I read all of the skills and it feels like I have no reason to have these characters. It's like people just want to be able to use all of the skills without any meaning choice being made, as if it's just a visual thing. I want the limitations of playing a stam sorc, I like the lack of magical stamina spammable, working with your limitations by capitalizing on your strengths is a source of creativity, not the other way around. Being the sorcerer that uses sorcery to supplement martial ability is much more interesting than being the sorcerer that's good at everything. Picking between hitting with a throwing spear, a light sword and a light ray isn't fun if it's just cosmetic. It's fun when the range/sustainability/damage are actual considerations that make your character stand out. I woke up pumped about starting the search for lvl 160 equips, but after realizing it never goes back to the way it used to be I think I'm just done with the game.

I tank alot and i teach and tutor all players, people in the community are very clocky and don't like new people unless they don't have a choice. I have all trefectas and I still can't get into groups as a tank so i rarely get on eso now. Pros instant dung qs easier to farm gear Cons: required to many skill points Requires way to much time to learn endgame let alone be invited Toxicity always goes at the tank over every thing else. Tanking in eso isn't viable for most people due to the lack of skilled players Tanking is not fun for slow runs Also i get forced to raidlead constantly I could list thousands of cons but I'll leave it there

Feedback on video: Firstly thanks for the time you put into this build and sticking it in the description to save me time lmao Now the rest; CP time stamp - End is all over the place you might as well combine it. You talked in depth but not consistently in order at the end there. You talked about 1 CP skill then jump to where to find the thieves guild etc. onwards to the end because that’s all I cared about was the CP not why. Eventually perhaps it’s because I’m experienced I found it like you talked too much perhaps rambling

I live and breathe tanking in eso because I can’t hit more than 60k dps and I love not dying. However, it’s the toxic sweaty dps that deter a lot of us from tanking vet trials for them. If I tell the group I have never done a certain trial before, they freak out on you and don’t want you to tank for them even if you’re an amazing tank. I just moved on to pvp tanking. It’s more enjoyable for me. When you can tank an entire zerg and not die but then in pve people freak out on you for not doing a certain trial before, it’s just ridiculous. If people are going to crybabies in pve, I’ll just stick to pvp.

Necromancer was the one newly added class that I was excited for but they really failed to deliver on reasons to be excited in my opinion. He’s right, it’s far more effort for far less reward. It feels clunky to play in general, especially with a few of its core abilities. I wanted to love it as this grand summoner class but it didn’t even come close. I hope they do choose to overhaul it at some point, although I do know there are some that like it as it is.

99 out of a 100 "burnout" is when addiction and operant conditioning used in marketing for live services to make you play have a larger price than you are willing to pay. Let yourself miss out and do something that feels good. An old favorite of mine - Guild Wars has been around since 2005 and despite it going low-pop and running on initial purchase and some minor microtransactions, it's been around for like 19 years now. Considering how much of a cash-cow ESO is and how much content is piled into it I have no doubt it'll be around for a couple decades more.

Great idea this needs to happen they don’t have to go crazy with it just add more gold drop, small chance to get a motif from that zone + purple gear drops if played on vet won’t break the game and gives higher skilled players more fun

When I first started playing this game, I initially had no interest in tanking. I just wanted to do damage and get my levels up. It didn’t take long for me to get board want to actually learn proper mechs and feel more of use to the player base as a whole. Made a new toon, DK, got some tanking sets and started my journey. Mind you it quickly became an addiction (I have 18 toons, 11 of which are tanks). And I’m still learning things daily. It’s not easy as most of the base expects you to automatically know every mechanic or buff/debuff everything. But they’re are those pug groups that will have that experienced player in it that will notice I’m not fully educated on the mechanics of a dungeon and take the time to talk me through it, give me some advice on certain sets, occasionally get an invite to help farm some sets. My point is, and it could be a little off topic I’m aware, they’re are people out there that are willing to help. And it makes tanking in this game rewarding. It’s a fucking slog sometimes. But learning the content, building your tank and trying to help other players is what keeps me tanking.

Your arguments are very well stated. I talk to a lot of people who leave and think about 70% of the new players quit after three or four weeks, just because of the ceaseless grinding at $15.00 a month. It's boring. People think it is a form of stealing. Think about it. Six months to Level up a Horse? A year or more to level up all the levels of crafting? All this while they never fix anything. Even the fishing is still bugged. The truth is that they don't care about the game, they just care about the money.

I ❤ constantly manage short duration abilities with instant cast. This one was already well balanced, because of the minimum 2.5s delay compensated its auto targeting 😊!

i agree that zos need to make new stuff so its fun to tbe a tank in other areas of the game. got 4 tanks and they never get used outside of dungeons and trials and they are theme builds/fun build

Community is not consistent becuase 65% of the players want a cyrodill pvp patch. The last one was called imperial city that dropped 6 months after release. Rest have been all pve, homes, quests. Don't u dare say battlegrounds was one..... we all now que has NEVER worked

I main a tank in most MMOs and the biggest issue is the toxic end gamers who believe they know everything. I've accomplished everything in every mmo I've ever touched. The problem is you don't get rewarded for being a tank, its actually more punishing. Cost to build, the amount of time it takes to just build skills. That's not even 1/1000ths of the hours it takes to be a good tank. For those who think tanking is easy, go try to be good and see how long it takes to get to true endgame.

So this video is almost two months old at this point, but I'm gonna say what I'm gonna say anyway. I agree with you full heartedly that the game has really become stale lately. I've been playing since launch and I have had my time going all in as well as my time away from the game, the longest being close to a year. I bring up how long I've been playing for one simple reason, and that is to say I wish we had a channel like this when I was new. The one thing you do in your guides better than I think any other channel does is include new players when you talk about anything in this game. I'm not a content creator or have any experience when it comes to UA-cam, but I would give this bit of advice no matter what game you cover with this channel. Keep doing that. Keep including the new players in these discussions. Keep them in mind when build crafting, or giving out tips and tricks to get the most out of whatever it is being covered. Thanks for the ESO content buddy. I'll definitely stick around and see what you end up doing in the future.

I am periodically going through all modern MMO's updates just to see if any of them added a feature like that. All I want is an optional debuff that makes "the journey" slower, longer and more enjoyable for people like me who prefer leveling, travelling and questing over endgame group content. A debuff that lowers experience earned, lowers damage dealt and increases damage taken. It can be even split into smaller debuffs where the players choose them as "challenges" they're interested in. None of the modern MMOs have it. It's like they all formed a union against players who want to enjoy the other parts of the game for longer. I literally cannot wrap my head around this. It's unbelieveable. SWTOR, ESO, Retail WoW... all the big MMOs have such wonderful worlds that could be slowly explored for hours in a long journey, where the enemies are more dangerous and actually require you to press buttons in some semi-meaningful order, yet the developers go out of their way to prevent people like me from doing that and just streamline us into the endgame content and completely ruin the immersion. An MMO should be a game where you do whatever you want - if I want to drag myself through leveling 15th toon with some challenges then that should be fine too, but apparently it's not. :/ It's literally a 15 minutes work for a dev to add an optional permanent debuff into the game that you activate by talking to an NPC in a starting zone. Or even a checkbox on a character creation screen. That's all. None of us are asking for a complete revamp of the game that would take lots of time, money and possibly anger the other part of the community. We literally want optional debuffs that work when we're playing solo (or with other people with same debuffs). Nothing more, nothing less... Well, back to leveling yet another character in Vanilla WoW.

I find tanking in dungeons and trials fun and rewarding unless the people I'm playing with are massive losers.

If I play a game, is to enjoy it. I don't want to do boring stuff to get to the point where "the fun starts". I don't need motivations to play a game, the only motivation I need is to have a good time playing it, like shooter, action, action rpg or adventure games. mmo's are not about that, they're about boring grind over and over again. boring combat, boring exploration, and so on. Maybe there is a social component there as well, that can make some players jump inside, however I enjoy more playing alone, and this kind of games have a lot of content exclusive to teams and guilds, something that makes these games less interesting. After more than 200 hours, I'm not interested in ESO anymore: I played with different classes, explored different places, made different stories, and at one point the game begins to get VERY repetitive, and considering how boring is the combat and exploration, the games gets so boring in the end... I wish mmos had combat like action games, that's the main reason the game gets really boring. A game where you have to spam the same skill over and over again gets so boring after a while, and I'm done with it. No need motivations, no need boring stuff, only epic and good moments of fight, exploration and customization. This game ended up not being what I would have liked of it, such a pity for players like me
