  • Should you get a job or start a business..? 🤔
    Contrary opinion of the day:
Not everyone should be an entrepreneur.
In fact, most people shouldn’t be entrepreneurs.
I think the narrative of “everyone should be an entrepreneur” or “why haven’t you started a business yet?” is EXTREMELY toxic.
In a world where everyone wants to be #1, there’s a huge void of (and uncanny amount of shame for being) solid #2’s.
Not everyone should be an entrepreneur.
In fact, a lot of times you can learn a lot more by joining a fast growing company early in your career.
In this video I answer the question: “Should you get a job or should you start a business?"
I also talk about one of the biggest falacies in the entrepreneur world…and why most “successful” entrepreneurs aren’t actually making any money.
I’m sure this will stir the pot a bit…feel free to let me know in the comments if you disagree. 😜

Any suggestions to get a side hustle from home. My family is abusive towards my writing time and I need writing and breathing room. Even just 100 dollars a month would help.

Dude, I love this video! I am wondering, though, why the music got super loud and then dropped off? It sounded kind of funny ;) Anyways, I'm publishing my first book in January and using your resources like every day. Keep it up! Thanks so much!

I'd say be ya own boss at some point. It's may be ok to get a job but have a goal in mind and learn all you can then get those wings to fly....

Good stuff! Nothing wrong with being a step below the CEO at the high growth company. :)

It’s anyone’s choice on how they want to create wealth, however, I think entrepreneurs have more freedom.

Potentially! Sometimes they just have the freedom to work 60-80 hr weeks to keep the lights on lol

How would you identify a high growth company? What things should you be looking for to find those opportunities?

Great question, Ang! Check out this video: ua-cam.com/video/Ws_LmLVnWAM/v-deo.html
^ based on this, I'd look for a few things:
      1. does the opportunity fit with your "pie chart" for what you're looking for
      2. is it a fast growing company in an industry you're passionate about
      3. is the company serious about developing / investing in it's people (arguably the most important one)
      4. does the values of the company align with your personal values / where you're headed.
      Hope this helps!

Definitely, agree. Being paid to learn from a great leader at a high growth company is one of the best investments you could ever make.
Having a smaller piece of a bigger pie > having a bigger piece of a smaller pie in a lot of (if not most) cases.
