The number one thing that stopped my anxiety is omega 3...I was pregnant and had constant anxiety and was suffering from mild hypertension...like 140/90...saw the biggest difference after taking omega 3!

I’m not the type who comments on videos but your bit in this vid where you said you peoples comments can make your day I’m promoted to comment.
Thanks to you I lost 20kg and have easily kept it off and have been sitting in a healthier bmi range for a couple of years now. Also my anxiety which has been crippling for many years has for the most part disappeared.
I watched a lot of videos from all sorts of ways to lose weight and I’m not saying those ways are wrong but your advice really struck a chord with me and I can’t thank you enough. You truly changed my life for the better, maybe even saved it because I was definitely headed towards heart disease and type two diabetes?
    Thank you!

Caffeine can be a big trigger for anxiety. The mention of increasing protein through animal meat was also interesting. Many people on a vegan diet struggle after about 4 or 5 years and start eating animal protein to overcome related health problems. By doing this you start eating more natural fats as well as reducing your carb intake. This can help just as much, if not more than, the extra protein. For many years we were told fats are bad and we should eat more carbs to replace them. The association between the reduction of fats (and therefore increase in carbs) versus the rise in mental problems of all types (and diabetes) is arguably very strong. Other factors exist of course, such as the damage done by highly processed food. The theory that the rise in overall sugar consumption (much from hidden sugars in processed food, but also many whole foods) risks both mental and physical health should not be dismissed lightly.

Quitting drinking and getting sleep are probably the two most important followed by exercise and low carb intake. Great vid.

    Hope you read mine… hahaha
Seriously though, anxiety is like a plague. I hit the big 60 last year & I realise I have more life behind me than in front of me. I’ve wasted soooooo much time & soooooo many days…..asleep! Shut my eyes & the world goes always right? I need a sense of purpose & believe it or not I still don’t know what that is.
I’m always the class clown just now I’m wrapped in ‘old’
Even if I never quite get there I’m grateful to learn from someone like you. So Thankyou 💖

In my retirement, turning 65 soon, something I do is donate a lot of my spare time; there is nothing like giving back to your community to really feel good about yourself. Plus have purpose. Good luck

My goal is 96km of which I have done 73km. For Soldier On to help prevent current an ex military suicide. I know what you mean. It’s the best. Thank you for your well wishes 💖

I'm SO glad you made this a video! My Dr told me my anxiety was causing horrible cortisol levels, and was making losing the weight a little harder, esp in the tummy. You bring up some great points. I do notice a huge change in anxiety when I'm outside more and eat less sugar. Your recipes for smoothies have been a game changer and my picky little daughter loves them too! I LOVE coffee, but it def instigates anxiety, but i notice if I have it before noon, I seem to be okay! Night time is the worst on my anxiety, and I do think my very poor sleep has been the biggest contributer to my worsening anxiety. Keep up the good work! ❤

I think we're similar in age, but I had children right of HS and suffered all of my 20s with anxiety, my husband and I both had these anxiety spikes and found ways of helping it naturally when I found ur channel a few yrs ago, IF helped my husband's gut health so much his anxiety levels naturally went down! He's a new man, I still have it, but when I cut out sugar, you're right, anxiety levels are so low. Great sleep, staying within my eating window (not over eating) and staying outside rain or shine are the keys for me too ❤ happy you talked on this! Food and sleep are game changers, great advice!! 😍🤓

All great tips, and many i've found through experimentation as well. For those mentioning coffee - I *love* my coffee, partially for the caffeine but mostly the taste. I have an espresso machine and drink 2 lattes a morning. To mitigate the cortisol spike I take L-theanine every morning with my first cup and NO spike in corisol (I have an Oura ring and track it). I agree on alcohol - I could have spared myself so many panic attacks in my 20's had I listened to my mother and avoided it. I can have 1-2 drinks IF it is very early (like done before 6:30) and then lots of water, electrolytes, tea and a snack before bed then no impact on sleep. my Oura ring confirmed even a single glass after 7 and my heart rate, temperature, cortisol is all jacked all night and I never get into deep sleep (so even if you sleep alot quantity wise, the quality is often garbage). The other thing, is yes, the protein. I recently (from a bit of your prompting, and others) in creased my protein to 90 grams a day and my cortisol has gone down significantly. I also am trying not to over-train and incorporate more good old fashioned yoga and outside time. Great tips, just here to nod along with all of them that they have made a world of a difference for me too :)

I really hope you read this. My body has an adrenal glands deficance, so I have to take cortisone medication every day or, as the doctors have told me, I will die. This has increased my depression, anxiety, and just desire to work out. My blood pressure runs around 100/60, and i am 58. I have been told to eat more salt, so I do the electrolytes but still require more sodium than i would really like. I have been living with this for over a year and have tried to keep doing the intermediate fasting, but my weight hasn't changed. Do you think I should just give up doing intermediate fasting or keep trying? I also struggle with migraines around 3 times a week, which I take medicine for. I was hit by a car on Christmas Eve in 2005 while riding my bike, and my back and left shoulder blade were broken along with my bike helmet being cracked. It protected my brain, but the migraines are from brain trauma. I have rodes and screws in my back and left shoulder. I was able after a long recovery to go back to work, but by the time I hit 50, I was in too much pain to work. I enjoyed doing what exercises I could because the endorphins helped stop the pain. Sorry to write you a book but I just didn't know if continuing with the intermediate fasting would be the best step for me so I wanted to give you my back ground so maybe you could give me your honest opinion. Thank you for reading my long message.
