I’ve had the rotary scissors for a few weeks now to go along with my CT and I still need a string trimmer in a lot of areas 😬 I also took out the sleeve that was in there thinking the same thing lol
I have an echo trimmer , and I have the rotary scissors on its way for delivery, does it make sense to use another echo trimmer for it ? I like echo units a lot.
I ended up going back to my string trimmer on my echo. I put the rotary scissors on my ego battery trimmer. It just made better sense for my situation.
I would also think another benefit for you is you wont get as much damage to your fence? Its almost impossible to keep from hitting the wood with those string trimmers. I guessing you are probaly not getting that with the rorary scissors??
Yes lots of benefits, however there is a place for a string trimmer. I ended up purchasing an Electric Ryobi trimmer. I placed the Rotary scissors on it. I will try to get a video out in August.
I do like the rotary scissors. I use them weekly. However they do not 100% replace a string trimmer in my yard. I have areas where I just can't get the rotary scissors in. Would I buy them again? Yes, cut quality under 1 inch is perfect and very high quality.
It was $310 total for the reel,bed knife and 9 screws. Shipped to my door. Remember I have the 25" Also went ahead and ordered the reel-drive + engine-drive sprockets. $52 shipped

May I ask which go pro are you using?
I have a Hero 6 and Hero 9. I use both but use the 9 for more of the audio.
What model is the echo trimmer?
Off the top of my head I don't recall the model. It is a 21.2cc straight shaft. It has been a great machine.
I gave in and bought a new reel and bed knife for the Cal Trimmer.
Still gonna keep looking for a place around here to grind the old one.
