I think that a manual transmission gives off a "american muscle car" feel since classic dodge n mopar always did and the manual was always part of the muscle car heritage at the time.
Agreed, a stick mates to a big V8 is the quintessential muscle car experience. That said, Dodge and Chrysler kinda pioneered the popularity of automatics with their Torqueflite 727, and Torqueflite 904 transmissions. To this day those are regarded as some of the strongest, smoothest autos ever made, and they can easily take credit for being the reason automatics became popular. Chevrolets TH350 trans is right up there too.

I agree that its a bargain. Just bought a brand new 2019 R/T Plus package and loaded with 6 speed. This car with the active exhaust sounds amazing and accelerates fantastic. My first Challenger was in 2009. An R/T with 6speed. I then went to another with the 6.1 engine back in 2010. 2012 was another R/T but automatic. It's pretty cool how these cars evolved through the years. Of course the price did too. However, the tech and features that's in these cars now is unreal. The sticker was in the mid 40's which was what my SRT8 had in 2010. However, with year end discounts it was over $6200 less than sticker! Talk about a bargain! I have no idea what you what you mean by "Weird" when describing the manual shifter. It does the job, it's relatively smooth and vibration free. adding the skip shift for $20 is a no brainer too. The manual makes this car what it should be.

Didn't happen. The EPA has banned manual transmission on automobiles built or sold after 1-1-2020. The exception are "limited production vehicles" like the Hellcat which only 480 of the 500 allowed each year will be built. Same with the Saleen Mustangs. In most states you can't purchase a 1 ton truck with a manual, you have to go to a duece. Look it up. You might learn something.
The problem with the auto is they force you to get the multi-displacement which has been causing engine failures in both GM and Chrysler vehicles that have it. The manual doesn't have that. Being a Chrysler product, you would probably want to stack as many long term reliability chips in your corner as possible.
This is what I really want, but the idiot dealers order mostly black or white. I wanted Plum crazy, but that's discontinued. Hellraisin is the replacement, but I haven't seen that it's out yet.

yeah it’s used in the shelby mustangs, but that means nothing, your good mileage is mostly probably due to chrysler’s cylinder deactivation on the v8s,

EVEN IF WE HERE IN CANADA HAVE TO PAY A EXTRA GRAND FOR IT!!
Demon looks like a box. RT has flair and style
You have no idea what you are talking about. Look it up. You might learn something.

Hate those mileniums who say automatic transmission is better, no wonder u have no balls to drive manual.
Even more attractive given that gas is so cheap now. Bring back the hemi dart
James L I’m excited to see the new color

MB Coll gotta love Utah
i get 30 mpg out of my m6 it is your driving. you know nothing about that trans or the car. that transmission is in the mustang, corvette, camaro, viper and others, i think it has done quiet well (t6060 it is an upgraded t56 one of the best). fyi 41k is way out of line for that car.
yeah it’s used in the shelby mustangs, but that means nothing, your good mileage is mostly probably due to chrysler’s cylinder deactivation on the v8s,
Lol they all look the same besides small features i love my 2012 rt
I will buy this baby one day
How much brand new $$$
